I am extremely fair and live in a tropical climate. I get so much sh*t from people about not being tan! I can’t tan! I burn and peel! Honestly I wish people would stop commenting on those of us with fair skin. A tan means you have damaged your skin!
And the irony of that, is if a fair skinned (presumably white) person were to talk about someone being so dark naturally, they'd be racist/colorist. Everyone should embrace their own skin color and stop commenting unless it's complimentary.
This is me! I live in So CA and people find it odd that I'm so pale too. The funny thing is that I'm not just pale, I'm kinda fluorescent white if that makes sense.
@@a.beaverhausen1140 Same...super pale girl who lives in Florida, where it feels like everyone is tan and walks around in short and swim suits all year round haha
First time someone who actually has fair skin. I see all these videos and I'm like... "No, girl you're a proper medium, not actually fair". Thank you!!!
I’m so fair skinned strangers have stopped me on the street to harass me about why I’m so pale. I heard ”ghost” and ”snow white” a lot growing up. Due to this I self tanned in my teens. Now I’m 26 and I like my unique skintone. Never let strangers make you feel like you have to make adjustments. They have no power here!
Im super pale , i literally glow. and i have heard my whhhhhole life the same things and im like come in people whats the ussue with someone with pale skin. I love my natural color and i feel like a queen. It just sucks all the time the stares and comments
The other day I was in the grocery store and a lady was staring at me. She noticed that I saw her looking at me and she said “I’m sorry to stare, but your complexion is so pretty! It’s like a porcelain doll!” 😊 I’ve always been self conscious about my pale skin but that made me feel good!
I’m far from fair skinned lol but I loved this video! I think ppl forget or don’t realize that anybody of any color of skin can be insecure about it. I believe all healthy skin is beautiful and people should love the skin color they have and use videos like this to learn how to enhance their natural beauty even more 💗
Literally this. Im so tired of being called pale and told to tan. I burn i dont tan… its the British in me and its honestly embarrassing when people point it out
Finally someone on UA-cam that's comfortable with their skin! All of this comes with age, I'm 32 and super pale / fair skinned. I used to self tan all the time too. I recently realized that my skin is beautiful and that I don't need a tan to look good. Also the thing you said about our necks is so true, I have always worried about my neck matching because my neck is so pale it literally looks like it has no color at all. Lol
My senior year of highschool they were giving out awards to all the seniors. I was given, "most likely to open my own tanning salon". I heard endless terrible comments about my paleness. I caved in and started tanning. 25 now and I regret it, so I'm getting my porcelain skin back!
People used to call me these things also but I loved it (?) haha I love old hollywood beauty so I thought my skintone was beautiful and actually wanted to be paler, Dita von Teese-esque. Twilight saga fever when I was a teenager made me appreciate my skintone (and even my dark eye circles 😂) too. People always talked about how attractive they were even if they were so pale
Always found it sad that the very people who would be appalled if someone made a comment about a dark skinned person think it’s perfectly ok to ridicule a fair person. Racism is racism. And colorism is colorism.
I have never found anyone this close to my shade and undertone. Holy cow. We have the same shade of blue eyes, we have the same taupe eyebrows and I even get my hair highlighted the same blonde shade as you because I find a cool blonde flatters me the most. All of your makeup tips are going to help me so much, I am thrilled lol ❤️
Your skin is beautiful, Ashley…I used to hate being fair too, especially when I was a teenager…my little sister (she’s in her 50’s) has dark skin like my dad…all she had to do was walk outside, and she’d get tan…and there I was all fish belly white…wish I hadn’t been self conscious about it when I was younger!
I really wish this video existed when I was a teenager because I could not figure out why every bronzer I tried on my skin made me look like I rubbed Cheeto dust on my face and made all my friends look like bronzed goddess. To be fair, back in the day, cool toned bronzers were not even a thing on the market, so I just skipped it all together for the longest time. These tips were great and took me years of trial and error to figure out the same things you shared in this video. Fair skinned ladies and gents - watch this video!
Omg I absolutely love this video!!! I have ghostly pale skin and for my entire life have struggled to find makeup that matches and any techniques that even work for my pale skin tone. You covered all bases here and after years of searching this video is my saving grace!!! No other video is as honest as you are when it comes to the daily struggles of how to do makeup properly for fair skin! Thank you!!!! 🙏 🙌❤️
I would love to thank you for being so specific and explaining how to do every step along with WHY you’re doing it, understanding the concepts helps with remembering and applying them elsewhere❤️
This was SO helpful! Thank you!! As a fair skinned girl, I have always struggled to find my perfect foundation shade. My skin looks exactly like yours so I will be stealing all your tips! I wish more people online or even celebrities would rock their fair skin. It’s so frustrating to see every influencer with a fake tan. I used to fake tan every week and as I’ve gotten older (I’m 31) I’ve realized how sad that is. I don’t need to paint my skin another colour to be beautiful. Also, ain’t nobody got time for that! 😂 I still struggle to feel confident in my skin sometimes, especially in the summer! So many people have made comments about it my whole life. A boy in high school once said to me out of the blue “I don’t understand, why don’t you just tan? You’d look so much better with a tan.” Clearly I never forgot that! Thank you for embracing your natural skin.
I am so happy to hear this!!! 🥰 thank you so much for your kind words and sharing!! I’ve been self tan free for over 2 years now and I love it!!! 🥰 in large part because it does save SO MUCH TIME 🤣 but also I’ve just come to love my natural skin tone 🥰 im the same as you - so many people would comment on how pale I am (especially my legs LOL) but now I just could care less 🤷🏼♀️ im so happy the tips were helpful!! 🥰
Thank you so much for addressing this issue! No one else has, that I have ever seen! I’m also super pale and almost never wear foundation because it never seems to look all right, even if I think it matches my skin. I’m also guilty of self-tanning, but it seems to look better without foundation than my real skin tone does. I once went to a primary doctor who went on and on about how pale I was, I didn’t look healthy, I couldn’t possibly be half Italian, etc. etc. (I quit going to him.) I began to finally embrace my curly hair at age sixty, and I’m ready to embrace my fair skin now at age sixty nine. So I’m a late bloomer! 🤷♀️ Thanks again for all the tips and hacks! ❤
oh my goodness finally someone who understands our struggles! You talked about issues that I've never heard from any other UA-camr but are definitely so prominent in my makeup game😭
This is great! Whenever I've had make up artists doing my face I have always had to keep them from slapping brown stuff on my face to make me their standard of "healthy". I am Irish. I am pale. "Tan" is not a good look for me. It does not look like me!
As a ginger...I am saying Thank you for this video!!! I used to hide it as well but I met my husband and he actually hates when I "tan"!! You are beautiful btw!!! ❤❤ Also...I would love hear about your top like 10 favorite foundation matches! I cant ever find my right undertone!!! Lol.
I'm a fair girl like you, and I live in Australia so the stigma around being tan is so strong! Most of family is tan or olive, and then there's me who's sooo much fairer. People will always tell me to self tan, use bronzer, go shades darker in foundations, you name it. Lucky for me I'm proud to be a fair skin girl, so I never listened to those people, but it can definitely be hard trying to find products that are light and enough and that suit our skin tones without making us look sick. This is was super helpful and I really appreciate having a fellow fair girl giving us the tips. ❤
a tip I have for fair skinned folk is whatever highlight you use, make sure that it is at least the same shade as your skin. Often times there is a gorgeous highlighter that looks amazing in the light, but once out of the light looks like a bruise on our skin. Especially since we are usually trying to lighten and brighten those areas, making them dark and brownish in the light is the opposite of our goal. So, either start with a dewy base or use a very fair highlighter. I personally like the mecca glow stick that is transparent, it gives a really lovely shine without any glitter and since it is transparent, it doesn't leave your skin looking weirdly dark. It looks especially gorgeous without makeup too.
I always go with a neutral undertone as well! Would love a dedicated video on foundations with every finish you have and their shades to help us fair skin girls out and including clips of you applying them!
I’ve been pale all my life and ever since developing Lupus a few years ago, I’ve become even more pale bc I try to avoid the sun as much as possible, even if I’m using sunscreen, to avoid flaring up! A lot of your tips are ones I already kind of naturally started implementing as I learned to adapt how I do my makeup to MY skin tone (and not just the general guidance I saw in magazines/blogs/UA-cam tutorials), but I learned a lot from you, too - especially the mascara hack! Genius! Also, I hate that it’s so pricey, but that Gucci bronzer is like a holy grail for me - I never thought I’d be able to wear bronzer, but when Gucci finally released a shade light/cool-toned enough to look natural on me unlike other brands, it was a game changer and now I looooove bronzer…that bronzer specifically lol. I feel like it makes me look so healthy! I know Jones Road (Bobbi Brown’s new brand) recently came out with a range of powder bronzers with a similar lightest shade for fair skin, and I’ve seen some comments from people saying stuff like “that lightest shade doesn’t even look like a bronzer, that looks like a blush.” Like, exactly!! That’s what the pale folks need!!
I'm a part of the pale skin lupus gang too. The red blotchiness shows up so much on us. And I hate that I need sunscreen but it causes my lupus inflammation to be even worse 😐
Omg! I’ve found you. I am so pale and the major portion of cosmetics aren’t for me. I hope you huge success because the teaching videos are rarely for the pale, cool tone folk. I’m excited. I’ll have to watch this a couple more times because that was mostly new information for me. If you want to learn great looks for yourself you have to start with the skin and it’s color and tone. Subscribed! !
As a pale skin woman I have found Lisa Eldridge has over 40 different types of foundation so your tone and shade is there and you can usually purchase samples first to try before the product. Lately though I have not been interested in foundation but tinted sunscreen and the Australian gold botanical for fair skin is fantastic. It has only a slight tint and looks fantastic!
My best fair skin beauty tip, especially when I don’t use self tanner and rock my natural cool Casper white😂: Rice Water! Used for a few days, it dramatically reduces skin redness and evens out all the purpley/blue blotchiness. The starch in it also makes it amazing as a toner before makeup, and somehow seems to melt my pores 🤷♀️
I recently discovered that good old zinc oxide sunscreen makes a fantastic makeup primer. It may be because of how fair I am, but it evens my skin very well and blending my eyeshadow and concealer was a breeze with it
Also super pale and neutral-olive toned that leans ever so slightly cool. I love using navy blue or deep purple as eyeliners as they play off my eyes well and still read as neutral if everything else is taupe and brown. Also: blue and white foundation mixers are a godsend for helping get the perfect foundation match. Most pale foundations are either too pink or too yellow for me, so I’ll prefer to get a too yellow that is the right depth and then add a bit of blue mixer to pull it more towards my neutral-olive tone.
This is seriously so true. Undertone matters so much! I have trouble matching foundations and sometimes go darker to get the right tone, and it works much better. I also like sheer coverage that blends well.
Great video and spot on for us fair skinned gals. The struggle is real. For years I bounced between wearing foundations that were just a tad too dark for me to avoid looking like a ghost. I need fairly full coverage due to broken capillaries (spider veins) I developed over time. A friend of mine recommended the SuperGoop products which I am in love with. I also use a color matching/correcting foundation Perbelle which creates a beautiful completely matching effect with that gorgeous glow of the ;Supergoop underneath. I have also changed to a brighter Peony pink for my cheeks and lips. I had always gone towards the grape-wine tones for my cheeks and lips because I have darker hair. But the pinker peony tone seems to lift and brighten my tones giving me a more youthful appearance. I am not heavy handed with it...just a light touch. Your video has validated my choices of colors, tones and products. It is not easy navigating all of the skin care lines. I used It Cosmetics for a long time, but they tended to flatten my facial structure probably because I could never find a good color match. Their CC Cream foundation is also very heavy. Your makeup application tips are spot on!
You are gorgeous! Thanks for sharing these tips. I used to be told I had the English rose complexion. As I get older, that moon look really bothers me. Now, I understand the problem. I think I can fix it now with these tips. (I’m 53.) Also, I think skin care is really important. Some of us dry pales need gentle exfoliating to help with that glow. The secret for me was a once a week chemical peel. This sounds extreme but can be done at home. I’ve not done this recently and I realize this helps. I couldn’t really put my finger on why this worked so well I’m the past. Now, I have a fundamental understanding of glowy pale. Pale ladies, it is so important to wear the correct colors. Light sky blue is fantastic for pale cool. I saw it on another woman with similar coloring to mine. I can usually count on getting a compliment every time I wear it. Also, important to point out, we can look fantastic well into old age. I’ve seen these glowy older women. However, a healthy diet and exercise will “tell the truth” more on our skin. Another reason to take care of ourselves. Sunscreen!!! I lived in the desert southwest for 25 years. Sunscreen and umbrellas were an obsession. I’m glad I was careful now. Thanks again, beautiful lady. 💕💕💕
Your fair skin is so so beautiful. And even though my skin is medium (and MUCH older LOL) I found this video super helpful. Thank you for so many excellent tips and recommendations!
What a fantastic video!! I love the lower lashes tip. I can't wait to try it out! The explanation on the why we need glowy primers make so much sense. I've noticed the difference that has made in my foundation game since I started doing that, but never really understood why. Brilliant! ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much Katie! I hope you love the mascara trick 🥰 I'm glad the explanation made sense, I think it's so helpful to understand why something works 🥰
Thank you so much for this video I always had all the issues you said and to know that it wasn't on me but it's because most makeup tutorials are for darker skin tones was so good to hear and to have you be like a big sister and teach about how to manage theses issues it's honestly a life saver and money saver I've seen so many videos on UA-cam and yours is the most helpful I've seen since 2013.
a brilliant bronzer which is more affordable than the ones mentioned is the Iconic London in Lightest Bronze. It's absolutely fantastic, I bought even darker to contour and it works amazingly - also does not irritate my skin in the slightest! I think pale skin tends to be more sensitive for some reason which makes it a nightmare trying to find products!
I am very fair and have always been self conscious of it..bronzer fake tan etc! I recently went to a wedding In Brazil and have never had some many compliments on my skin! It gave me a new found love for my skin and embracing my natural skin tone. My go to is a peachy blush to give a healthy glow and that's it! Have to love the skin we are in! ❤
Great tips! Loved your blush placement tips. I’m going to try the brown mascara trick. I agree with you that bright lipsticks are great on fair skin as long as the undertones are right and coordinated with your blush.❤
Thanks for the undertones tip, I never thought about it and I always just buy the lightest shade. I will definitely start checking for the undertone. Thank you!
Finally a reference with actually! pale skin 🙏🏻 I have about the same complexion and eye color as you, just with light freckles and naturally dark brown/blackish hair and I love it and all but finding (especially lip) shades that don't clash with me is an absolute nightmare. I`m currently looking for my perfect classic red lip since I cut my hair short for the first time and feel like I can pull it off more casually now without feeling super extra 🙈😂 Clothes wise we can never go wrong with black basics and Jewel tones 🥰
Loved your video. Here in Brasil, there is a lot of challenges if you have fair skin or dark skin too. Industry is getting really better here. A lot more shades 🙏 but still being difficult for fair neutral or olive skin. And for eyeshades, people think it's too crazy when we use colors and go out to buy bread (for example) 😊
Thank you Justine! I'm so glad you enjoyed 🥰 I have to use the Atelier N shade and I like it but because I'm so dry I have to prep my skin really well and use it only on 'good skin' days LOL
I'm shocked by the number of commenters saying that people make fun of or criticize their pale skin. I'm 41 and this happened to me in the early 90's in middle school....nonsense to be expected of middle schoolers, but I'm shocked that people much younger than me are still experiencing this in an era in which tolerance and diversity are supposedly embraced. Guess not. All skin tones/shades are beautiful and people are aholes. Rock your pale skin ladies!
Wow, this is an amazing video! I’ve been watching beauty videos for like, 15 years. But I’ve learned so much watching this! I’d pretty much given up on wearing much makeup myself because since I’m so fair, nothing ever looked as good on me as it would on others. It was very frustrating, and like you said, things just felt “off”. So thank you so much for putting this out for us fair skinned people! I am going to take so much away from this and likely rewatch it
Light skin is beautiful… not to mention that avoiding sun is really good for the skin, it ages more slowly. It is So nice that you did this video, thank you so much for the hacks!
not saying that dark skin in unattractive, but also pearly white skin in heavenly beautiful! It looks like porcelain or moon and its so clear! And through the history everyone wanted to have fair skin, cuz it was sign of a royalty :) even today
You've saved my life! (Makeup wise) 😄 I have so much trouble with makeup application and having fair sensitive skin makes it even trickier. I like a more natural look and yours is just so gorgeous and fresh! Can't wait to learn more and start embracing my natural born paleness 🥰
I've always embraced my fair skin. I'm a premie of British and German descent, and because of that and the anti depressant I take, I'm very photosensitive, so much so that I burn if I don't wear sunscreen in any UV index higher than two. I wish I could tan, my great grandmother could go insanely dark, but alas. Though, thanks to E.L.F I have finally found a concealer that actually works with my very cool toned fair skin, I have almost no yellow in my skin so most concealers look orange on my skin. This has renewed my interest in makeup at 30
I'm a ginger with freckles and pale skin with pink undtones ✨️...I find that using very little foundation works best. Infact..I tend to mostly wear tinted serums/moisturizers, bb Creams or a very light weight foundation. If I need more coverage I will use a concealer. Also, I love my freckles and don't like covering them up. Thanks for the tips. This was a 👍 great video. You are beautiful. Take care 🙂 💕 💜.
Really pretty makeup! These tips are perfect for me. I am as fair as you, but I have a bit more redness and broken capillaries on my cheeks and nose, hence I've been probably overdoing the foundation. I'm going to try your tips, to be more glowy. I think it's gonna work well. Thanks! Instant subscriber!
I've always had pale skin. My dad is a red head, so I've inherited his skin colour. I can't tan, I just burn and peel. I hated it growing up, and now I am happy with my snow-white skin.
Thank you for the fair skin tips. I embrace my fair shade now and think of Marilyn Monroe (when everyone else was tanning). Marilyn embraced her fair skin as did Grace Kelly.
I'm so happy to find this video (though a couple years late lol)! This has really cleared up a lot for me, especially how to keep/add dimension. 😭 I will say, in regards to lip color, I think the reason you specifically are able to get away with bright shades is more to do with your contrast than fairness. You seem to have medium contrast (same!), which gives a lot more wiggle room. But maybe you've already addressed that more recently, I'm new here, and thought I'd leave a tip for the low contrast girlies (soft seasons): go more nude! It will still look bright enough on you.
I love this so much. I’ve really embraced my natural pale skin these last few years and fell in love with it. Which started after finding out I had some precancerous moles at the dermatologist. I used to HATE my pale skin, tanning sometimes twice a day.. but now my wedding day is coming up and I’m struggling to embrace it because my body has so much redness. Do you have any tips on pale body makeup?
Beautiful! Omgoodness I was looking for a video to help me embrace my fair skin. I can’t believe what a perfect video this is!! No more spray tan for me (at least til next summer 😜)!
Thank You ~ as a fair skinned, blue eyed blonde I am also embracing my paleness now. (brows are tough) And I learned the hard way about tone this past year. Bought the Lancome Teint Idole Stick Foundation in 215N. It looks grey on me, and awful. L'Oreal Tinted Serum in 05-2 is almost perfect for me. Kosas 2, mixed with a little darker is perfection. I have been on the fence about that Shiseido foundation, not certain of the shade I need. Alabaster looks too light for me Opal or Ivory may be better. I have been using Lancome Cils Booster on my lashes first then only color my upper lashes with Definicils, the lower lashes are defined and more visible but still light with just the booster. Looks good. *I also like brown mascara Gucci 01 and Guerlain Light Cool are now on my to buy list. Usually when I use bronzer it's way too obvious a color change, which is annoying. I want to try the CT setting spray. Often I make my own using filtered water and glycerin. That pink shade blush by Rare Beauty looks so pretty and right up my alley. I have been using Rare Beauty Pinch blush in the shade Bliss. It is also pretty. Been eyeing those Melt blushes for quite awhile. Must try one soon! And well, Atelier anything is quite nice i$n't it? Have you tried their Nectar highlight stick yet? I WANT it. Lippies are the most fun but I always gravitate to pinks. No nudes look alive enough. Reds are a bit too much, and messy. And dark browns or russets are a never-for-me. Those Atelier Lippies are also in my cart (Chou Chou, Nana, and Nou Nou)...waiting for my tax return for that brand though. 😉 Hearing nothing but good things on those. So happy you shared all of this info. Your finished look is so pretty. Nice to meet you Ashley. ~Happy New Year~ 🌿🕊️💕🌍
Very helpful and so glad to finally find someone with similar complexion.. i didnt have time to put make-up on the other day and my colleague thought i was ill 🙃 I got negative comments on my pale skin growing up
This video is my holy grail!! Thank you so much! I hate my pale skin because all the reasons you`ve talked about, the lightest bases always peachy or yellow on me, my neck is just like a paper sheet, ugh
I’ve learned so much recently about undertones vs overtones (never knew about overtones!) and I can’t wait to share in an upcoming video because it has changed my life!!
Being goth is my best fair skin beauty tip 😂 I'm getting older now and am looking for ways to not show off fine wrinkles, so you've given me some ideas ☺️
This video was so helpful… The undertone tip might just be the missing link of why I have a fear of foundation… I’m going to try this. Thank you so much!! Our skin looks quite similar! The cover girl mascara has been my fave since I was a teen!!
I just found your channel looking for help with my fair skin. This was so helpful! Thank you! I struggle with undertones but I feel like at least now, for the past 3 or 4 years, you can get actual base products that don't automatically look orange. I do need a new foundation and I'll definitely look into the bronzers. Been looking for a good cool toned one. Do you have any recommendations for a more drugstore option? Gucci is not really in my budget at the moment 😅
Hi Katie! Welcome! 🥰 I’m so glad this video helped!! I’m actually testing a BUNCH of drugstore foundations to find the best ones for fair skin now so I hope to have that video out soon! So far the best for color match is the Maybelline Fit Me Dewy + Smooth but my favorite drugstore formula hands down is L’Oréal Pro Glow foundation, the shade range just isn’t as great a match for me.
I'm also super fair with a neutral/slightly cool undertone... and I wear Chanel N°1 BD01 foundation. That said, Alexandra Anele did a video with a blush hack that blew my mind. She mixed a little liquid or cream blush with a little foundation on the back of her hand... and got the mix on her brush and blended it out. She also did the same with a powder blush and powder foundation... or translucent powder. Very cool hack for those of us who struggle to keep blush looking soft and natural.
Im an Indian , have a beach to tofy colour. But look at the comments ✨ there are soo much fairies. These ladies in the comments straight look like angels, like many beam of light ☄️,✨ like snowflakes 🌨️❄️
Nice to see a real fair girl instead of those medium beige faces they call fair on UA-cam. I’m a cool number one in summer and number 0.5 in winter. Thanks again are you a professional makeup artist? I’d love to have someone really fair do my makeup in person. I’ve had my makeup done a few times and it always looks like clown makeup because the artist was intent on making me look darker. If so, where are you located?
I’m so glad I found this, although I’m much older than you I’ve struggled so much with my skin tone (right smack dab between fair and light)… especially with bronzers! So I’ll be watching that video next! Love all the tips! 😉
It's cuorius how I always wanted to have fair skin since many times I've been compared to my sister. People would tell me "you'd look prettier if your skin was whiter"or "Why aren't you blonde like your sister". Nowadays I got tired of that and finally learned to accept my kind of ivory skin tone. Anyways, thanks for this wonderful video, fair skin is beautiful and this helps people embrace it and take care of it 💞
Thank you so so so much for the video. I struggled for so long with makeup because most tips I heard when I first experimented with makeup products did not work for my very fair skin tone. I always wondered what was wrong with my eyes when I could see that gap you talk about after applying eyeliner. I wish I had seen this video at the time and realized it was normal for those of us with very blonde lashes…
I always thought I had pink undertone because of my face has so much redness. I finally came to the conclusion that pink undertones make me look muddy and dull. I love this video…as a fair gal.
So true
You just find your shades and ROCK them!!!!! YOU BE YOU, and you will put them to shame.
First time someone who actually has fair skin. I see all these videos and I'm like... "No, girl you're a proper medium, not actually fair". Thank you!!!
You’re so welcome!!! 🥰 I’ve seen those too and I’m always like nooo lol
Jeffree Star is one I couldnt beleive how he thought he has porcelain skin lol
Truth
a lot of people confuse or mistake light olive/golden skin with truly pale/fair skin
Was snow white supposed to be an insult? I had a coworker call me this, I would take it as a complement 😂
As! This made me smile! 🥰 I love when people give genuine compliments!! The world needs more of that! 🤍
I’m far from fair skinned lol but I loved this video! I think ppl forget or don’t realize that anybody of any color of skin can be insecure about it. I believe all healthy skin is beautiful and people should love the skin color they have and use videos like this to learn how to enhance their natural beauty even more 💗
Well said. 😊
Literally this. Im so tired of being called pale and told to tan. I burn i dont tan… its the British in me and its honestly embarrassing when people point it out
Korean makeup techniques never let me down with my fair skin ❤ I should’ve embraced my skin tone decades ago
It was so awful for me in high school being pale as well, sorry you went through that 😔
People used to call me these things also but I loved it (?) haha I love old hollywood beauty so I thought my skintone was beautiful and actually wanted to be paler, Dita von Teese-esque. Twilight saga fever when I was a teenager made me appreciate my skintone (and even my dark eye circles 😂) too. People always talked about how attractive they were even if they were so pale
I was called a vampire all throughout middle/high school. People can be so rude. 🙃
Always found it sad that the very people who would be appalled if someone made a comment about a dark skinned person think it’s perfectly ok to ridicule a fair person. Racism is racism. And colorism is colorism.
I'm an olive skinned dark haired mom. My q2yo daughter is extremely fair so I'm trying to learn fair skinned tips to help her. Thanks!
Thank you! I’m so glad to know that it’s helpful 🥰🥰
As a MUA this video was soooo helpful! Great tips and great products you recommended! The undertone tip was awesome as well so thank you!
Fellow Irish woman.....burn, blister, and peel! Now I am queen of skin cancer but still have my freckles!
As a ginger...I am saying Thank you for this video!!! I used to hide it as well but I met my husband and he actually hates when I "tan"!! You are beautiful btw!!! ❤❤
Also...I would love hear about your top like 10 favorite foundation matches!
Very good tip! Thank you for sharing! 🥰
Just the fact that you created a video about fair skin and make up, without watching it, deserves a like!❤❤❤
Thank you! 🥰
I always go with a neutral undertone as well! Would love a dedicated video on foundations with every finish you have and their shades to help us fair skin girls out and including clips of you applying them!
This is a great video idea Ash! 🥰 I will write this down, thank you! I always love getting new ideas on what subscribers want to see!
Yesss!!! I just made a comment asking for the same thing lol
Hi!! I’m so glad this video helped!! 🥰 the Gucci bronzer truly is fantastic! And it is true - some of us need a pale bronzer! 😅 it takes all kinds! 🥰
Subscribed! !
I find myself doing a lot of these things already, so it's cool hearing others doing the same.
Such a lovely look for a Fair Princess 👸🏼
The lower lash hack….👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
My best fair skin beauty tip, especially when I don’t use self tanner and rock my natural cool Casper white😂:
Rice Water!
Used for a few days, it dramatically reduces skin redness and evens out all the purpley/blue blotchiness.
The starch in it also makes it amazing as a toner before makeup, and somehow seems to melt my pores 🤷♀️
How do you use it?
So glad I found this channel! Fantastic tips for fair/dry-skinned gals.
I recently discovered that good old zinc oxide sunscreen makes a fantastic makeup primer. It may be because of how fair I am, but it evens my skin very well and blending my eyeshadow and concealer was a breeze with it
This is a great video and super unique and clever I’ve never seen a fair skin girl do a video like this and I so appreciate it!
I have always tanned and spray tanned all my life and now at 29 im starting to love my fair skin thank you for this video
Also, I think skin care is really important.
Thank you so much Tamara! 🥰
COULD NOT agree more. I'm a pink undertone, but when I go with a cool light undertone I'm a ghost. I always go with neutral! xo
Neutral is the way to go!! Thank you for watching my beautiful friend! 🥰
Thank you!!! This is the makeup channel I have been looking for
What a fantastic video!!
Thank you! 🥰
Thanks for the undertones tip, I never thought about it and I always just buy the lightest shade. I will definitely start checking for the undertone. Thank you!
Finally a reference with actually! pale skin 🙏🏻
I have about the same complexion and eye color as you, just with light freckles and naturally dark brown/blackish hair and I love it and all but finding (especially lip) shades that don't clash with me is an absolute nightmare.
I`m currently looking for my perfect classic red lip since I cut my hair short for the first time and feel like I can pull it off more casually now without feeling super extra 🙈😂
Clothes wise we can never go wrong with black basics and Jewel tones 🥰
This was so helpful. I love being fair and really enjoyed this video.
Thank you so much Tanya! I'm so glad it was helpful and enjoyable 🥰
Manicure, rings look very good. The ring is so pretty.
As a fair skinned redhead, I appreciate this video so much! 💖 How do you find the Westman Atelier stick foundation?
Thank you Justine! I'm so glad you enjoyed 🥰 I have to use the Atelier N shade and I like it but because I'm so dry I have to prep my skin really well and use it only on 'good skin' days LOL
Try adding a little bit of green concealer to foundation if your foundation is too orange or pink
You have the most beautiful skin color Ive ever seen. Like a Celtic fantasy painting.
I don’t know how you do not have a million subscribers! You are amazing! Love your videos!!
You're too kind, Amber! 🥰 Thank you so much!!
You've saved my life! (Makeup wise) 😄 I have so much trouble with makeup application and having fair sensitive skin makes it even trickier. I like a more natural look and yours is just so gorgeous and fresh! Can't wait to learn more and start embracing my natural born paleness 🥰
Omg! So gorgeous! It’s so nice to see that makeup can work on us fair complexion beauties!!
Pale skin looks good in any color its a perfect pallet for a huge range of beautiful elegant colors.
What a great video and a beautiful makeup look. Thanks for the helpful tips!
I will say, in regards to lip color, I think the reason you specifically are able to get away with bright shades is more to do with your contrast than fairness. You seem to have medium contrast (same!), which gives a lot more wiggle room. But maybe you've already addressed that more recently, I'm new here, and thought I'd leave a tip for the low contrast girlies (soft seasons): go more nude! It will still look bright enough on you.
Thank you so so much for that video! We truly can't put makeup like anyone else and no one really showed me ❤
I agree love yourself !
You have just saved my life! Embracing that fair Skin care routine but looking great all at once ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
So much effort for us and no effort at all for people with medium skin tone 😃
I love this so much. I’ve really embraced my natural pale skin these last few years and fell in love with it. Which started after finding out I had some precancerous moles at the dermatologist. I used to HATE my pale skin, tanning sometimes twice a day.. but now my wedding day is coming up and I’m struggling to embrace it because my body has so much redness. Do you have any tips on pale body makeup?
Look up Alabaster tinted body lotion. It really helps make pale skin look luminous and not red. :)
Looks good. *I also like brown mascara
Gucci 01 and Guerlain Light Cool are now on my to buy list.
~Happy New Year~
🌿🕊️💕🌍
Wow i loved all this info btw!
Awesome video, very beautiful. I'm so glad that you're embracing your fair skin and teaching others to do the same.
I’m exactly the same with the undertones. Looking at my wrist I would say I veer to the cool side but neutral foundations look so much better on me.
I’ve learned so much recently about undertones vs overtones (never knew about overtones!) and I can’t wait to share in an upcoming video because it has changed my life!!
I’m so fair that my eyebrows and eyelashes are basically clear. It makes eyes more challenging!
I wish you still did videos, you are really good at it!
I love the speed at which you talk. Can you do some fair skinned more extreme eye looks please?
Being goth is my best fair skin beauty tip 😂
I'm getting older now and am looking for ways to not show off fine wrinkles, so you've given me some ideas ☺️
I have albinism so im pretty fair 😅. Thank you!! As someone said, the tutorials are often made by medium skin. So again thank you!! 🎉❤
I really enjoy your show. Your skin is gorgeous
Sisley has great foundations for pale skin. The tinted moisturizer in light and the Phyto Teint eclat in porcelain are gorgeous❤✨
Thanks for sharing!! I have been wanting to try Sisley for awhile and haven't gotten around to it, I will be adding these to my Christmas list! 😊
Ohhh thank you!
Hi Mimi! Welcome! 🥰 I’m so glad this video helped!
Or if the product turns your skin red, it could be an allergic reaction. No make should make your skin turn red like that.
Thank you so much! I'm very fair and can't tan. You're so awesome!
You're so welcome! Thank you for watching!! 🥰
Anyways, thanks for this wonderful video, fair skin is beautiful and this helps people embrace it and take care of it 💞
THANK YOUUUU and greetings from Egypt ❤❤❤
I know this is completely off topic but I love the color of your eyes and how bright they are 💕
Thank you so so so much for the video.
I love this video…as a fair gal.
ohhh..just found this. I'll be sure to watch and I HOPE you have your products listed!!!
