I'm just saying what the fishermen are feeling, and they are all as passionate as myself. You can hear it when they talk in the harbours up and down the country.

It’s east to be wise after the fact Barry. Like you said I’ve learnt from personal experiences as I’m doing my own boat up outside under a a tent. So smaller mixes and go hotter than 2% catalyst. Too much left in the bucket and keep the handles my friend. Good video as always and you will be soon putting out to sea 👍

Oh, you're so right. Foresight would be a grand thing🙈😂😂😂 but at least we learn from the mistakes😂😂😂😁👌
It was 2% of wax, not Catalyst. I'm not sure if I said it wrong .
2% of Catalyst would do nothing in this Scottish weather.😂😂😂💧☔️🙈😂😂😂
Theirs news about launching, which we'll keep you up to date soon.😁👌

😂 I rewatched the video and thought you hadn’t actually put catalyst in as you don’t show it on the video. But looking close and I mean close you can see at 7.44 the catalyst dispensing bottle on a tub and at 8.25 it had moved so you must of put some in the mix 👍😂😂😂 I’m now off the get a life 😂😂😂😂😂

Gday mate good vlog ,yes fiberglassing can be done in certain temperatures if its to hot forget it ( ask me how i know) if its to cold the bloody stuff takes forever to go off , I was doing some home repairs and decided the barges would benefit by a layer of glass over the timber well i mixed up the resin had all the glass cut to size added the hardner but dropped it by one ml because of the temp . got a small ammount done and it went off . In all the years i have glassed ive never seen this go off and get so hot ever it turned purple it got so hot ,next load i dropped by 2ml bloody stuff took all night to go off grrrrrrr . They like little boats like mine to have an epirb bout the same size as those poachers you caught i would have rammed em or at least asked them to show there catch anyway here a manual activated one is about 329 dollars it floats but you have to turn it on when your boats sinking the water activated ones are about 600 + i havent got one yet never had one and if i cant jump over the side and touch the bottom im out to far😂 i have more safety equipment on that bloody boat i dont have room for my fishing gear anymore (boffins) I can say that work would not pass my standard id send you back to the bench and make you do it again 😆mitred corners barry pride in ya work man hahaha only joking when you do a full stripdown i know youll do it better anyway take care and CRACK ON MAN .

      Hi Crisp bud.
      I love your messages.
You must take so long typing them out!🙈😂😂😂😂
Yeah, I've done that myself with the resin.
The trouble with Scotland is the weather's so changeable.
4 seasons in one day at this time of year pal😂😂😂
You saw by the vlog, one day warm sunshine, temps we're creeping up,and that same night, -5 outside, cars all frosted up, then by 9am, peeing down with rain again🙈🙈🙈😂😂😂😂
I've never seen weather like this winter/ spring last, so long.
Even the old timers have said the same, and they have far more experience than me.😁👌
Yup, I totally get too much safety gear.
That's what I'll prep my Barry B for next year, I can tow that behind me with all the gear aboard so I can manage to fit creels on the Lynsey B😂😂😂😂😂😁👌
Yup, I totally deserve a slap on the wrist for those butt joints. 😂😂😂 not pritty at all🙈🙈🙈😂😂😂😂😂
I 'll try harder next time, buddy.😂😂😂😂
Hope you have a great weekend, champ.

Hi Barry, could you put the frame under the heat lamp? You migh have to move the lamb unless you have a spare heat lamp.

      Hi Aidan.

That setup is just for a single lamb bud. Once we get more pets, my brother in law ( the farmer) usually makes a pen for them with a few heat lamps. They are certainly well looked after, feed every 4hrs etc etc.
Fingers crossed, we don't have too many, but just like fishing, we'll never know until it happens 😂😂😂😁👌

@@onemanandhisboat Hi Barry, I think you may have misinterpreted my comment. I was suggesting putting the frame for the boat that was not drying due to the poor weather under the heat lamp to help cure the paint👍👍🤣🤣 You've probably got the job done by now. Barry,
Does the MCA have 'Fishermen' in the group? If not, that might be a big reason for all the issues, like the Scupper Covers that you mentioned.
    Steve

    • @onemanandhisboat
      @onemanandhisboat  8 місяців тому

      Hi Steven.
      You AWESOME MAN you.😍😁👌
Thank you for ALL your support sir, truly, truly grateful. ❤️👍
The MCA "used" to hire, ex professionals, time served merchant navy, ex fishermen, even ex naval architects.
Unfortunately, they have all retired, and the " new" kids on the block are Joe bloggs of the street, with zero experience of the sea boats or life in general.
They do a course for the MCA to make them inspectors ( which cost them £80,000 per candidate)
And pass with a piece of paper that has no fiber in the real world, yet these are the people that can stop you from going to sea and earning a living, which I may add, we are all soul traders, self employed! Yet the MCA think they can rule the roost.
Fishing groups have had meetings with the head of the MCA, AND even the Transport minister, and nothing has changed!
It's an agenda to get rid of the inshore fishing fleet bud.
They just want the half a dozen big players to keep control of and make money off, the rest of us, they don't give a damn.
But they don't know fishermen....we'll fight to the very last man/ woman! And it's coming bud, hopefully soon.💪😁👌
Hope you have a wonderful weekend

Depending on who listens, or what they take out of it, that's on them.

It sounds like a big player has the ear of this MCA mob, usually this means getting the ear of some bloke with no knowledge but signatory powers and getting them to put rules in place that benefits them but shaggs small operators.
