Good advice on numbering your catches! I've been looking for a better way to keep them straight
Why aren't creator making videos about this device describing it correctly? To me, it appears that it slides so you can add additional increments if the fish is longer than the green portion. You would slide until the tail of the fish is flush with the black portion of the device and then add the measurement between the gap from the head of the fish back to where the black starts. That gap would be added to the overall fixed measurement on the green portion. Hard to explain by writing it out...

That is a great simple idea to take pictures identifying your fish numbers. But that is the first time I have actually ever heard of it being done like that on any of the other CPR videos I have watched. Good stuff.

I’ve only ever fished tournaments from a bass boat. A video explaining the rules of a catch photo and release tournament would be interesting.
Good idea. I’ve always taken a picture of my fish finder between catches. Currently most of the bass tournament here are hawg trough only. Sure it will change over time

Your Awesome Chad. I might not fish tournaments or Kayak but I will put this measuring board on my buy list. I love how many times it takes to get the Gerber knife out! I have many Gerber multi tools I’ve collected since in Service and never leave home without them!!!!
I like the finger idea but when ur catching 50+ bass a hour. Its ezyer to tak a random picture of the ground

#Ketch has made a outstanding #CPRBoard, great method on identifying different fish in your pics. I normally try and upload my fish as soon as I catch them if my signal is good.

FitzYakin Doubt it. It doesn’t fit in the Hawg Trough holder from YakAttack that mounts on the BlackPak.

"Hawg Trough" has now blackened their marks & numbers for easy viewing, PLUS added flotation strips in the grooves underneath the device as STANDARD.......all for the price of only $19.99. It also measures up to 30". I know, because I just bought one from "Fishing Online". There is no way I would pay 50 bucks for a measuring board.
Then DON’T. And HAWG TROUGH HAS NOT blackened ANYTHING, Fishing Online did. Break ONE and you are almost to fifty bucks. Just sayin’
I'm just curious. Exactly how is it that you know someone actually releases and doesn't use the same fish twice?
Because every fish within 3/4” of another is compared to each other. That’s why the photos have to be all taken the same way.
Chad you made the fishing fails compulation 2017 on "fishing compulation" channel lol. At around 3 min.
Seems like it would be easier to submit the first fish then delete the photo before catching another. Is there a good reason Chad that this would be a bad idea? I haven't fished a tournament yet so I'm not sure what good protocol is . also keep in mind I would be recording each catch with a GoPro for backup info if needed

Chad what happens in a KBF tournament if an angler catches the same fish twice? I know this doesn't happen often but for the first time in my life this week I caught the same fish twice.

Saw an article yesterday of a guy who carried a cut off bass tail during tournaments. This guys would place the tail on the caught fish with his hand over the end of the tail extending the length of his catch with his cut off tail. If you ain't cheatin', you ain't tryin', right?

Nice but I personally don’t need more equipment on my kayak... a simple tape mounted works great just mount it on the yak with whatever way works. That’s an easy way 👍

My opinion, without a doubt, is that the Ketch board is the best out there.
