- You can't say "Cuba" without thinking of the white sand beaches of this tropical island. Cuba is home to a ton of amazing beaches, but which are the very best? There is an argument that Playa Ancon (or Ancon Beach) is the very best on the south coast, if not the island.
After spending some time in Santiago de Cuba, we headed west to the city of Trinidad, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. From here, we car pooled with some new friends and headed to the beach.
Not being near a resort, this beach was not packed at all - and offered a ton of open beach to choose from. Take a look and let us know if you think this beach is the best - or where you would suggest is even better!

Yes, we don't travel often, but when we do, we tend to go for a long time and capture a lot of footage. This was a 3 week trip for example. I too am missing this beaches at the moment!

Now that was a nice beach and on a day like like, perfect for chilling out. Too true, very surprisingly quite, I would have loved to have walked down that seashore. We found that when we used to holiday in Turkey, the local mini bus was always so much more cheaper than the taxis and more reliable too. Happy New Year to you both, cheers Alan

We were there about 3 weeks. It was so nice to be able to get away and explore the country longer than most.
