Seeing this band live is amazing & quite frankly standing 5 feet in front of Floor & watching her sing was awe inspiring in the most literal sense. On a side note: Kai found me for a drum stick at the end as my dumbass was trying to air drum with him half the show & I think he saw me 😂
Watching this one thing has struck me: Floor is singing a lot smarter now than she used to. As much as I revere the Wacken 2013 concert (which IMO is the greatest live concert video ever shot in the history of metal), when I see Floor sing now you can tell she is pacing herself much better than she used to. Back in 2013 she was still trying to impress the fans and her band, so everything she sang was balls to the wall. Now that she has established herself as the High Priestess of metal and endeared herself to NW fans and the listening public at large, she can afford to pull back a bit and save use her voice more economically. I think this is wise. That way when it comes time to really let it rip, she can open up that 500 H.P. voice motor and blow the roof off. And because she is taking much better care now, we know she will be giving us Floorgasms for many more years to come.

One BIG reason she is doing better now than 2013 is the last two albums were written FOR HER. they fit better. They now pick songs to perform that is good for her. Plus she adapts well too.
Was just thinking the same thing. I agree about Wacken 2013, but by the end of it you can feel her getting stale. Since then it felt like she wasn't trying hard enough sometimes, and now that she's back again everything feels more personal and on point.

Indeed 👍 It's very disrespectful to the band. They didn't want Marko to leave and now they try to move on without him. They are doing their best and sounds amazing! 🔥🤟 If Marko was only thing for you in this band maybe it's time to move on and forget Nightwish. There is plenty of fans who still love them and support them. This is new Nightwish ❤️
I was big fan of Marko's voice and was very sad when he left. But I got over it and happy they are continuening even without him. Saw them couple weeks ago and they were on fire 🔥🤟❤️
I mean I guess it's fair to miss them, but if you don't care about the current lineup and just want to complain about wanting X former member back, then why are you even watching Nightwish videos in the first place?
marco has become mia. i believe he sang on theirion's tuonela before he left. we;ll see what he is up to at the july kokkola wine festival near helsinki. his solo album. I took my daughter with me at Tampere show at the end of April this year. Her first rock concert, super cool. She was quite amazed of the show and all. And we met Tuomas and Troy at the elevator before the show. And next morning we met Tuomas again :). Had a chance to thank him for the great show and the songs.
i remember hearing Tuomas and the rest of members say that they did this concert and it was quite intimate and ladies & gentlemen aren't going to want to miss any of this so much power here around and they just keep the audience entertain and engaged the entire time no hesitation such professional musicians
Floor freaking nailed it at the ending of Ghost Love Score 90 minutes into to concert, she is the absolute Goddess of symphonic metal 🤘🏻🤘🏻
This was my first time seeing them in concert.... My jaw literally dropped and I was literally sweating at the end from all the energy. Floor had ME floored, lol. I would literally give my left leg to see them perform with an entire orchestra in Europe
If they ever do that I will fly there to see that show.
But they said they will never do that.... ( hire an entire orchestra nor choir. Like within temptation and Epica did at special ocasions).

@@allymatne i dont know. Floor said it in an interview i cant remember which one. Too much hassle for not enough result. Maybe they talked to Within Tempatation about their black symphony video concert having a gregorian choir that completely choked. You can see Sharon signing them "louder". They are not used to metal concerts and after all that rehearsal and money then at the one moment it matters the people not used to such venue half of them block. So it is easier to teach a metal person classic music than the other way around.
They should make a special headbang choir that backs up all the symphonic bands: that would work!
I WAS THERE!!!! My section was sitting the whole time but i was DANCING!! I loved Floor so much!! She was incredible!!!!!!!!!!! I wanted to see Tuomas in person at least once. Hes my hero!!!!!!!!!!!!!!💘

I have seen people on Facebook saying this wasn't a great concert, the audience was dead, lacking chemistry on stage, etc. That's not what I see in this video. They look and sound great. It pisses me off that they're not sold out. This is the greatest metal band in history, IMHO. We in the US need to get out and support them better or they won't come back. I'll be in Colorado on the 15th and I can't wait!
I was there and my feeling was there were times when “energy” was low in the crowd but it was during the best moments. I definitely found myself just staring in awe that it was real and how great they sounded.
what effect does COVID 19 have on concerts? Do you think we want to be less crowded? Not ass to butt with pushing non-stop?
I had so wanted to see NW on this tour, but with Covid still hanging around I decided to wait until the next tour. It is sad that people in this country really don't know much about this band, I'm 63, and into rock, and have never even heard of them before my son introduced me to them. I find it hard to believe that such an awesome band is virtually unknown in this country.
It was probably a larger arena for what they normally do with in North America. Most of those shows are in clubs. I was at the show and they sounded fantastic. Yes, the place was half empty but these tickets were on sale 2 1/2 years ago in the middle of a pandemic.
I was at this show! My wife and I drove 14 hours from Kentucky to see it! I have to wonder how many people bought tickets 2 years ago, before the pandemic, and got a refund. Also, I think more people that were thinking of possibly buying tickets and going were afraid it would just end up canceled again due to COVID rising around certain areas of the country again. Personally I thought as a crowd we did the best we could with the size to be enthusiastic. At the end when they were taking their bow, just before they walked off stage, I was struck by Tuomas as he appeared to just have this look of great satisfaction and of feeling humbled by us the fans, screaming our appreciation and thanks to them! Edit to add I was in the 8th row, and it was amazing to see Floor and the rest of the band up that close!
I saw the at the legendary Wacken show. The absolute joy they have onstage with eachother and the fans is a spiritual event. They have never sounded better
One day I'd love to see nightwish perform with a full choir and orchestra! I think that would be an incredible experience 🖤

My wife and I flew over 1k miles to see them in Lowell. We had second-row seats right in front of Floor. It was a night we will never forget. She caught a pick from Emppu and Me and Jukka shared a bearded brothers moment at the end of the show. Thank you so much for posting this. Now we can relive this night anytime we want. We can't wait to see them again!!! \m/
If you flew in from Alabama I think i was sitting next to you! Awesome show on second watch though I agree the sound quality live was better than anything I ore the poster recorded.

I was there in the back in section 121. What a show and I was singing just about every song. Finally got to hear here sing in five years. I cried, I screamed, and I cheered.
It may sound odd, but Nightwish's music just makes me happy....
Listening to music that makes you happy & feel good is good for your health & mental well being.
It doesn’t sound odd at all! I mean, it's normal for music to make people happy, but symphonic metal in particular: the aggressive but upbeat guitars with the powerful operatic voices soaring over it, it's uplifting. A lot of people say this. And Nightwish in particular is able to write songs that are joyful without seeming shallow or trite: Alpenglow, Stargazers, Last Ride of the Day, Endless Forms Most Beautiful... Not to overshare, but their songs like Ghost Love Score have helped me through tough times when I was struggling with depression.
yes me too! everyone that i was near at this show seemed super happy, myself included. i have never experienced anything like this before, i wore a pink bow tie and everything because i wanted to remember this night forever. nightwish just has that ability, to make you feel things you never thought you could feel! there was a man sitting in front of me who discovered the band around the same time that i did and he said something similar, that nightwish just makes you feel so inexplicably happy. music is an amazing thing.
It doesn't sound odd at all.😊 I feel exactly the same. Listening to them, watch them perform live and see the interaction between them onstage always lifts my spirits and makes me happy. 🥰Can't wait for my very first live experience in December. 😁🤘🤘

Expectations being this high its save to say they nailed it. Storytime was great, She is my Sin was amazing, Look how happy Floor is 29:40. Dark chest of wonders was great. 30:20 I love the silence, Floor is so beautiful to listen to. She's like clear blue warm water light up by dancing sunrays. Especially on the word 'bride'. 58:00 is very special, the way it builds and Floor just brings it home. 1:08:03 Goosebumps.. A 'wow' moment. The purest vocalist I have ever seen. Again; I love the crowd calmly listening to the siren. 1:30:45 Floor and Tuomas synced up there, lol. Yeah, I loved every second of that. How are they this good? So consistently too. 1:50:08 And at the end they bow to you!. That had me in tears a bit ngl
She truly is a siren! One of the best voices I have ever heard in metal!

We were there! Thanks for sharing! To all the detractors: the sound was a lot better live than recorded, and I don't say that to detract from XplicitConcert's efforts, which I greatly appreciate. If Floor was not feeling at her peak, I couldn't tell. She was amazing in person! They all were amazing! The venue was perfect for someone like me with bad feet, a bad back and constant tinnitus! I was able to sit in the stands, dead center and eye-level with the stage and enjoy the show. They can only do so many venues in North America and I am grateful that they came this close to my home! The turnout was not bad considering I have never heard them on the radio and never even heard of them before COVID. UA-cam and music reactors have opened my ears to a lot of great groups that don;t get radio play in the USA!
It doesn't matter what they were or who has left. This is who they are and they are amazing. They came, they rocked and they kicked ass!

Great as ever, but I still miss Marco. Both his personallity and his voice.
Yup, I don't know if I will ever get over his departure. I hope he is happy and doing well.
Without Marco the band sounds a lot weaker - the energy and the voice added a ton of power in "I want my tears back" and "Greatest show on Earth", without Marco those songs sound way weaker.
Also Floor's changed her singing style so it's more efficient - but she's lost the power and edge she had before sadly. The way she sings now is healthier for her, but the trade off is that it's not as powerful as it was during her 2013 performance where she was going all out.
Now the band sounds like Nightwish-lite

Troy has really stepped up since Marco's departure. I wasn't sure if they could pull off some of the songs without him but Troy is the real hero of this tour

Troy has been doing a wonderful work but Marco is Marco and it's been so hard getting used to listening some song without his voice. The same with Floor, she is amazing and beyond fantastic but still I need Marco 💔
I can’t thank you enough for this. They are the one band I would give anything to see in concert, but they didn’t come to my State sadly. I was at this show, was absolutely amazing. Didn't feel like they played almost 2 hours. I had such a good time and crossed seeing Nightwish off the bucket list
this was the best night of my life. it’s every teenager’s dream to see their favorite rock band live, and i got to live that dream on may 7th. cannot tell you how much i cried when they came out!

noooo!. I had no idea that Nighthwish was playing in Massachusetts, let alone Lowell. Tsongas Arena is about 12 miles from where I live. Must go and cry in a corner. After I watch the concert on the tubers🙂

The end of Shoemaker was the highlight of the evening for me, Floor completely nailed it.
First of all, brillant quality, second we all miss Marco`s voice, but the Bassist Jukka is one of the best oldschool bassplayer i ever heard. He play what he has to do, like Emppu. I hope he sing sometime a little bit back vocals.
jukka is rock solid on bass. one could argue that kai/jukka is an upgrade over jukka/marco. but is the upgrade going to introduce prog like time signatures?

@@dclxvi3719 Total for the concert? Not entirely sure. They didn't have the entire venue sold out, but the seats on the floor level for the most part were - just a few sections in the very back that weren't full. The venue can seat over 7000. I'd suspect there were probably 4000 there? Just a little over half full.

Thank You for posting this! I was supposed to be there but my mom was hospitalized and I couldn't go. Tried selling my floor seats but no one bought them in time. 😢 Hopefully I'll get to see them next time around.
