Mox v darby had a heLL of a match! Mox has had a string of really great matches for months now. Im not that familiar with darby but he impressed th heck outa me! Go AEW!
Untill cornette nwa tapings are finished then no. But it’s good to hear jr has his groove back, was a tad worried about his magic fading but now Tony is there is all gold.
Jeez, I don't know what I like best about this match. That brutal avalanche Paradigm Shift that looked like it legit killed Darby and the ref's reaction to it was absolutely cringe inducing (in the best way possible). But that coffin drop into a sleeper hold was just so smooth too. I genuinely thought Mox was just going to roll out of the way, but he just caught Darby in a submission hold, BUT then Darby rolling through (while Moxley is still choking him) to force him to break the hold or else be pinned was such a stellar sequence. Mox with that star presence and big time energy looked like the most vicious, baddest man in the building. Darby showing you have to practically murder him because he just wouldn't stay down. This was some great wrestling. Congrats to both these guys. I definitely want another match between them down the line.

Me & my son was front row at the event. At the end they gave him the AEW banner that goes over the gate in front of us. Good memories and to be able to rewatch us on UA-cam is awesome too 🙂

This was everything I wanted in the first match between my top 2 favorites in AEW. I absolutely loved this match, and I hope we see Moxley and Darby wrestle again in the future.
AEW is doing a phenomenal job with Darby, Bringing the fight to Mox, pushing him to the limit. Even though he lost he's still getting people invested. You want to root for him and cheer him because he is fearless and will fight you to the death and maybe he has earned Mox's respect. And Moxley is Moxley, intensity, anti-authoritarianism, ferocity, elements that make him an evolved SCSA. All this together makes this match fantastic. Maybe even perfect.
To me they just making established dudes who have won titles all over, look weak. Jericho should have wiped him like nothing and so should have ambrose. They relying on their 4 dudes to get everyone else over Its just not believable that these lowbies can hang with the likes of Chris jericho, jon moxley, Kenny omega.. I get what they trying to do and that's cool but to others it looks bad not anywhere near believable or investable.

After the first couple of month after the shield debut i always felt that mox is the best out of the trio. He always had an idea of what he wanted to portrait in the wrestling ring and you could feel it. True passion for a very unique style of wrestling. Glad he finally gets his stone cold- attitude era like approach in a professional league. He is the star of AEW.
My favorite thing about AEW outside of original characters, organic storylines and logical decisions... it’s how people aren’t buried in these marches. Like Darby Allen doesn’t walk away being destroyed. This match elevated both of them to higher then before!

I posted on a video somewhere on youtube, about how I felt Moxley was a shoddy wrestler, this was a few months back. I have completely changed my opinion on him since joining AEW, he has been incredible, such a transition of character and ability.
I've always had the opinion that Moxley has lacked in CZW (Compensated by his tenacity in his deathmatches) gotten good in WWE but limited him and finally getting free to do his best after WWE.
