Hey man just wanted to take a second to thank you for taking the time and making this video, it’s the most comprehensive video I’ve found on the expand it pole saw attachment thus far and for those unaware the expand it attachments also fit the Ridgid model #r01201 (both Ryobi and ridgid are made by TTI which Milwaukee is also However the quik-lok is a proprietary and will not work However the Ridgid will accept the expand it accessories….Actually originally it was marketed as attachment capable but now there is zero mention of it anywhere like it’s been scrubbed from their descriptions, so somewhere along the line for reasons unclear Ridgid decided to no longer advertise it as attachment capable….I think possibly they could use that to void the LSA “warranty” or deny warranty claims on them altogether if used with attachments so be aware of that (I can actually see them completely revising the LSA for OPE or dropping it to a 3yr warranty or something but who knows…Sorry for the really long winded way of thanking you and letting folks know that the expand it attachments do fit and work very well on the Ridgid string trimmer
I purchased one today for my Stihl FS 120 R 2-stroke String Trimmer and the attachment head fits right on to the end of the FS 120 R shaft and I can even use the extension shaft with it as well.
I am a little confused. Do I need buy two items? One is the chainsaw and the other is is the extension shaft? Or it is just a combo I can order? Thank you.
In the future, cut the hung felled tree from the bottom up, no wedge cut, justs s straight cut. The tree will fold keeping together. Once on the ground cut down from the top.
@@SolelyRyobi No worries, I actually burned out a power head😭 (under warranty) using the 10" expand-it pole saw felling two trees 🌳🌳after limbing them... Not too bright on my part, as I also own the "14" Ryobi chainsaw 🤔(always use the right tools for the right job🤓). I was too lazy to take it out of the truck 🤤. Needless to say I had to finish the task with the 14" chainsaw I didn't want to get 👀. Loyal Subscriber
I have not actually seen this item in the store but I am planning on purchasing this 10" pruner along with the 40V Trimmer kit #RY40290VNM. My question is, how it the pruner head powered? Is there wiring that runs trough the extension poles?
Remember to use the quick links to jump around in this long video. And let us know what Expand-It tool is your favorite!

Appreciate the video my man I just pickup one up last week
Glad we could help
I like the way it cuts. Can we buy more pole extenders?
That's what she said.

Mine is bouncing like that now with a new chain which I don't understand because I was cutting bigger branches than this. This thing is a beast!
Nice review for the pole saw and a nice bonus 😛 -- how *not* to cut a tree (or limb) that has partially fallen and is hanging up.
For sure a few things in this one you should NOT try at home 🥴😆
Where can I buy the extension shaft separately, my friends?

Yeah, that was a rookie mistake. 🤦♂️

The expand-it power heads have the motor in the handle next to the battery... it has a drive shaft in the pole/extension pole, not wires
I love your channel great video than you😅
