I have definitely found a home w/ Demon Hunter. No matter the mood I'm in, it's like I can hit that home page button to find something from them, from acoustic songs to raw songs to gritty and hard songs... and then Ryan Clark's vocals, doesn't matter if it's Demon Hunter, or his New Wave band NYVES or his Goth Wave band Low & Behold... his vocals can and usually are HAUNTING. This was actually my first time hearing this song somehow, and I LOVED it! It's coming to the gym, for me... I'll be fit in minutes, LOL
It is so exciting watching you experience this song. I had it on REPEAT for ages and still adore it. I love that I can sing the harmony as well. Thank you so much for the review. They have a bunch of new singles. "Freedom is dead" has the punk metal feels. "Silence the World" has a featured artist and its beautiful. "Master" is SOOOO good. Don't even knowbhow to describe it.
I absolutely love this song! I think this album, Storm The Gates of Hell, was my introduction to Demon Hunter in high school. Ryan Clark is one of the best vocalists and songwriters in metal imo. This album starts off slapping you in the face cuz the intro song is extremely heavy and aggressive and leads right into Lead Us Home, no pun intended lol!
I've been listening to them since the beginning. I saw them live. Pretty much my go to band. This is one of my favorite songs. But they have so so so many excellent songs. If you listen to their entire body, where he can hear them, progress, mature, and get better. Even though the early stuff was incredible. Ryan Clark has an amazing voice. Even better live if you can believe it. Thanks for doing us.
You've gotta check out Theocracy! Don't let the name scare you! Talk about Ballads! They helm from the state of Georgia. They are probably the best hair metal band around these days. If you check then out at the least, let me know what you think!
This was the 2nd DH song I ever heard... The first was One Thousand Apologies... I was hooked ever since. Thanks for being a DH fan with me. :) Someday you need to check out Phinehas' "The Fire Itself". It will blow your mind.
A bit late to this video, but I came across your channel recently because of Babymetal. I saw you have reviews for this band so I wanted to add my few cents. This song was my gateway into heavy metal, that chorus specifically so I feel ya. Sad to say for how many may feel, but these days, I have “moved on” from my Christian life and Demon Hunter was a huge part of my life at that time. I realise now how spoiled I was to have them be my gateway drug. A lot of popular bands today are just scratching the surface of the creativity DH had. These days I have found my new home in the form of Babymetal, but Demon Hunter will forever have my respects as a metal head. 7 solid albums, from their debut to Outlive played a huge part in my life and influenced my taste in music.
Oooh yeah - if you liked this song, you'll love "Sixteen" from the same album. The structure, the vocals, the instrumentation, all very much on par with the vibe of "Lead Us Home." A more complete song in many ways also.
Regarding the strange view count at the time of requesting this sometimes happens with songs from older albums when bands take forever to post them to their official UA-cam channels if they do so at all, and considering the video post date was in 2020 and the source album (Storm the Gates of Hell) came out in 2007 you can see the discrepancy here compared to videos of the song from other people around 2007. Regarding this song it's actually a pretty good song, with the chorus absolutely being the hook. Would I give it a 9 like you did? Probably not but it's far from a terrible song to be sure.
No but I've been told by a LOT of people that I should be a DJ. According to them I have the "gift of gab" and I have a nice tone of voice. PLUS, I have a face that's perfect for radio.

Same feeling, bro! Demon Hunter feels like home. Songs for every day, every mood, every feeling
The chorus always gives me the chills. Love it.

I am a huge Demon Hunter fan, and the live version of this song from the Live In Nashville album is even better in my opinion.
This is a video of that version. ua-cam.com/video/D0VsXUyOaUQ/v-deo.html I may be biased. I was on the front row during this concert.
Thanks for hitting this! I really like when you hit Demon Hunter.
Awesome reaction. The very last "lead us home" at the end still gives me chills since 2006.
Thanks for coming back to these guys. Great video and I appreciate your insights. I made sure to watch the whole video before liking and posting this.
Brings back memories. Storm the Gates of hell is great album

I was not sure if I like it or not, but right after listening the chorus, which you pointed out, I got to know which is the correct answer. haha

Best album they ever did IMO every song is 🔥 fire!
The score doesn't surprise me after your reaction, and honestly, I think it's spot the heck on. This was a good 'un.

Are you on the radio

I likewise have said "radio face"
Artificial Light is the worst DH song for me because I heard it over flip-phone in the lead up to the album release.
