Watch "The Trip" part 1&2... "The Bottle Deposit" part 1&2, and "The Lable Maker"... my favorite episodes. Especially "The Lable Maker" ... it's the episode that got me into the game 'Risk'
The series finale does a pretty good job of calling back to a ton of characters the show has introduced over the years, the more you see the more you will be able to relate.
EDIT WATCH THE POOL GUY! there is a reference in this episode which is a call back to a previous episode where Jerry says you know what you're doing you're killing independent Jerry the episode where George says you're killing independent George and Worlds Collide with Susan is an amazing and funny episode. Reasons like this are why you want to watch every episode in order
To answer your question, a fair amount of poppy seeds. They tested it on MythBusters-both Adam and Jamie tested positive, one after eating three poppyseed bagels, the other after eating a whole poppyseed cake. They remained positive for opiates for around eight hours.
ChatGPT informs me that older tests had a lower threshold for morphine detection, meaning you would only need one teaspoon of poppy seeds to trigger a positive result. These tests were phased out in the US healthcare system in the late 90s, which means it's plausible that Elaine could well have been subjected to them.
Thanks for the cool Mythbusters tie in! I missed that episode. I do remember people up in arms about "failing" pee tests because of something completely normal and benign as eating a poppyseed bagel!!😂😂 lol
One of the reasons this episode is so funny is because they were making fun of the city of New York. They couldn't just buy any shower head they wanted because the city outlawed them. You could only use low flow heads. Remember there was no Amazon or anything like that. The companies couldn't sell regular flow shower heads in New York
"if you would have told me twenty-five years ago that some day I'd be standing here about to solve the world's energy problems, I would've said you're crazy. Now let's push this giant ball of oil out the window." I want THAT episode...my favorite line from Seinfeld ever.
Jerry's line in the green room at the Tonight Show where he says to the arguing parents, "...if you could perhaps conduct the psychopath convention down the hall...", is one of the low-key funniest and definitely one of my all time favorite lines from the entire show.🤣 *(I've always thought that "Psychopath Convention" would be a great for a metal band.🤘😂🎸)
The Alternate Side from Season 3 is a classic on so many levels, from George's bizarre job to Jerry at the car rental agency to These Pretzels Are Making Me Thirsty.
One thing that makes this series so great is you can, for the most part, you can put the playlist on random and not skip a beat. Just think…you could watch the series finale and then an episode from season 3 and it would just seem to flow just fine. When Jerry was tearing into Uncle Leo I couldn’t stop laughing. Leo was ahead of his time when claiming anything he didn’t like was a form of prejudice.
Yeah it's impossible to see the line in this episode without thinking of that reel, it might be the most repeats of the same issue they ever showed in the bloopers haha. Even in the aired version, you can see he says it a little gingerly, just to be sure, in contrast to his usual immediate acceleration into an uncontrolled raging delivery 🤣🤣
@@jerodast Jason Alexander said that Jerry Stiller always knew his lines but would make himself nervous & he couldn't get the lines out, & it was the best
Have to watch episode "The Voice" It's the episode after " The Butter Shave" it contains the second part of George being caught faking being handicapped
Don't give up. The second they started I post "The Pen!! The Library!!! The Parking Garage!!" and then they did the parking garage, but I've still been posting The Pen and the library every single time. Wanna team up? I'll add the Gum to my list, you add the pen and the library to yours?
Low Flow Shower Heads have a plastic restrictor inside the head that reduces the amount of water than can flow through them, they were Federally Mandated by the Energy Act of 1992 along with Low Flow toilets and faucets. You can use a pair of Needle Nose Plyers to GENTLY pull out the restrictor in the shower head. You MUST do it GENTLY or you could crack the housing. After you've removed it, just wrap a little Teflon tape around the shower pipe and reattach the shower head. Enjoy a full pressure shower.
Many of the storylines come from real life, like the festivus, which was already a real thing. The government tried to make low flow showerheads a thing in my country of Australia, as it is supposed to save on water, but they suck. I think they must have given up on that idea. The Seven and the Muffin Tops are must episodes.
I don't know about in Australia, but in the US, most current shower heads (and toilets) qualify as low-flow compared to what was the standard in the 1980's and before. Over time, though, the quality of the designs has improved so that they don't suck so bad anymore. They use less water, but they're also able to maintain decent pressure. You always tend to have that sort of issue any time there's a change-over in technology, like not that many years ago when people were making a huge deal about banning incandescent light bulbs, as though that were going to be the end of the world. Instead there were a couple of years where things were a bit messy, then LED bulbs pretty much got perfected, and now nobody even thinks about it. The same thing will be true of electric cars.
There's no official data on how many poppy seeds you'd have to eat to test positive on a drug test -- because there are multiple factors that affect it, including climate, level of cross-contamination with the seed pods (which is where the opium comes from, not the seeds), etc -- but it's true that it can happen. In most workplaces, it's not really a problem bc even if the test picks up a relatively high level of opiates, a medical review officer will review the results and look for other signs of opiate use or withdrawal in the person before making any kind of decision. In the military, though, it's enough of a problem that the Defense Department issued a warning to service members to avoid eating poppy seeds (or a lot of them, anyway) bc it can cause them to test positive for codeine and they could be disciplined or discharged. In fact, actual cases of this lead to what is known as the "poppy seed defense."
The Wink is Genius!!!!!!! Anything and I mean anything season 6 and beyond is Gold. Gold Jerry Gold. Seasons 1-5 are peppered with episodes that I like. Some of my favorites are of course The Chinese Gum, the wigmaster, the kiss hello, the scofflaw, the seven, the comeback. So many more. Seasons 6-9 were side splitting
How many do you have to eat? Myth busters reckon one was enough to fail a 24 hour test. Ps you gotta find the bloopers of jerry still trying to pronounce ‘del-bocca-vista’ it’s hilarious.
"Low flow" shower heads are a real thing. They are usually called something like "energy efficient" or something. They are designed to minimize water consumption in showers. Remember, in many (most?) rental units, utilities are included in the rent, so the companies that own the buildings want to minimize their costs, and a big way to do that is the water bill. It's the same reason some apartments have heating/cooling controlled by the building.
They should've just watched the whole series from the start. There is a couple episodes in the earlier seasons that are kinda iffy, but once it finds it ground and they figure out how to write multiple whacky stories that link together, pretty much the majority of the series has quality content.
The Costanza’s thought they were friends in the “close talker” episode (great episode btw) the Seinfelds were in town and kept making excuses to not accept a dinner invite from the Costanza’s because they don’t like them and the Costanza’s find out.
I don’t know about apartments today, but back in the day certain complexes had shared water heaters so people that owned the complex usually installed low flow shower heads to save on hot water. I’ve tried them before I get their concerns but obviously they heavily exaggerated. Higher power is much better at removing shampoo but low flow aren’t that bad. Biggest issue is not as relaxing as being hit with stronger stream.
C'mon! Starting with the _end_ of Mr. Morgan's arc? Yes, "The Wink" is funny, but introduce him properly first! Also, I get that the big list is kind of intimidating, so I will restrict it to one episode. "The Cadillac." A prominent role for Art Vandelay and a formal introduction to Mabel Choate. Yes, there is an early episode that sets up this one, but barely anyone thinks about "The Baby Shower."
My last apartment complex in Austin required everyone to have the low flow sink, shower heads, and toilets. We would switch out the shower head and apparently we weren't the only ones. Now they do random inspections with very little notice. I have to change it back where every time they do because that's one of the things they check.
Why aren't you just watching all the Seinfeld episodes? You won't have to worry about material for a good long time. You can also double up on them---watch two episodes per video. Lots of other UA-camrs do that with a series.
