- In this video we are comparing Text-R sublimation paper to A-Sub Sublimation paper. We are printing on both papers using our sawgrass sg500 sublimation printer and sublimating them onto 100% polyester. Lets see if one is better than the other.

IJ Plain stands for Ink Jet plain paper. Also, check your spooling settings, may be the reason so slow.

Don’t change your ink when it says low ink - it will tell you when it’s completely depleted .. you can print tons on low ink I have printed 40+ on 1% .. I have the sg800 and there is a way to look in the actual machine to know what the true % is but I’m not sure how to do it on yours

Yep ASub paper does better. I’ve tried both and I didn’t like the TextPrint for shirts only the ASub. Now the TextPrint paper does fantastic with mugs.

I just used textprint for some canteen mugs and there is so much ink left on the paper after pressing. Is there a settin i should be using in print manager

I have been using A-Sub since I leaned about it on a web blog. By the way, I also tried truepix paper and it gets more ink than a-sub paper… kinda same situation as your comparison

The two with the least ink appear to have transferred more of the darker colors. perhaps the vibrancy you see is just contrast.

Hello my sister the sg500 and is have an issue when printing text in black, the black isn’t real dark. It’s more of a charcoal. Any suggestions? Can you take the other color cartridges out and leave the black?

I keep mine on
I probably should but I don’t. That’s probably the best thing so it lasts the longest. It does it’s self cleaning and maintenance on its own that way. Maybe I’ll start keeping it on. You can clog the heads if you leave it off and don’t use it for a long while.
A Dubb, please help. My Creative Studios doesn't offer different paper choices. All it shows is Trupix paper! How can I add TextPrint paper as an option in my Creative Studios and print manager?

There is no cotton option in my substrate selection why and how do I get it
my ink is printing out the colors i want on the truepix sub paper, but when I goto heat press the image the black is green and the red is a light rd/orange color.... help me i already went through the starter ink and half way through my new ink i just recently purchased.. how do i print out the correct image color????

Sub A paper type A is looks the best..much more vibrant.
There should be a paper profile you can download from the manufacturer. I will try and find the profile/driver link. LC
I wish I would have known about the easysubli ink for sawgrass 500 because I’ve already put the sublijet ink cartridges in the printer and you can’t convert. I haven’t used the printer yet. Am I able to take the cartridges out and replace with easysubli ink

Yeah that's crazy... idk to me it still seems like the shirt in the top left is the most vibrant of the 3. So ima go ahead and say Text Print R... from this point of view anyway

Hello! Love your videos! I hope you see this! I really need help. My sublimation paper says Sublimax R (with a circle around it) but on the instructions it says to select Profile A on SG printer manger? Can you tell me which one I should pick or are these two different settings?

Photographic is for photos, vivid is more for solid colours like logos and vector images.

why went i transfer my on my light shirts or white i use light transfer but it show the white box on shirt instead of just the image please help me. i have a sublimation and a cricut which i use for this and a white box which is the white paper itself all gets headted and it shows the box
The one that didn't have as much ink, probably had more chemicals sprayed on it while they were making it. So the paper couldn't soak in the ink.

Can someone tell me, why my A-Sub paper is not sublimating… I have an Epson sublimation printer, with sublimation ink… and I’m sublimating on white polyester shirts! Is the paper defective- do I have to press longer (I’ve been doing 400 at 40 secs).

Flip the paper that is in your printer to the other side. All printers have a little drawing showing what side to put the plain side of the paper in.

Which one of the sawgrass would you recommend? The 500 or the 1000.
1000 for sure, you can print up to 13X19
But isnt the a sub good for cotton?
Are you using a “Bypass tray” for that length of paper?
8 1/2 by 14? No. You can use that with your standard SG500.

the reason why it prints so slow is because you are using creative studio :( - try to fix your artwork in photoshop and just use print manager ...its a hassle for sure
How do I get photoshop to talk to print manager?
@@adubbproductions no - design and size your art in photoshop for example size it 11x17inches (so on and so forth)...open print manager and then open the file from print manager...also, you can print directly from photoshop (and it prints instantly)but I havent found a good color profile yet...but yea I have experienced the same struggle with mines but now its operating smoothly (even with the cheaper inks)

I bought from ebay “no brand” sub paper one is yellow on one side white on the other the other is pink one side one on the other. Does this sub paper not work?????????!!!

Contact the seller and ask them for instruction. The paper should have came with instructions. I’m super i can’t help i have never used such paper.
