Josh, I was wondering how big of the scales on that fish because I remember hearing back years ago that they used to use scales from fish like that and like tarpins as guitar picks because they were strong And they were renewable and then bio regretted if after a while is it possible that they can still be used as guitar picks? would your dad be interested in having a platinum marijuana guitar pick Or several?

We need to remember that there are things that blossom in season that can really make it harder to make a difference in the environmental health.

The stingrays are not my favorite. I miss the old albino tank. It's such a beautiful tank, and I feel it's wasted on the sting rays. All they do is sit at the bottom 😢 Anyway, sorry about your fish, Josh, and happy birthday to your wife.
@@ivoryfrommthe blue pool pond was never supposed to be a tank. It's the main sump for the rescue. Also the rays barbs have punctured the pool a few times.

I just think along. no judgment or anything like that. but I watch a lot of UA-cam fishing videos. What strikes me almost everywhere is that almost no one actually sets fish aside for a few months and so on. and then only when I can or does do so with my own fish stock.
I feel you gang. This week i broke down in tears about my tanks. I just lost a few of my cornerstone favorites after a few long years of keeping them, which wasnt that unexpected but still very sudden. One of them, much less impressive and expensive, was the first Platy id ever bought, the tank just doesnt look the same without him. In an attempt to make myself feel better I thought id go out to a chain store and see if there were any sick fish that needed healing, It always makes me feel better to bring them back to full health, but luck wasnt smiling on me. The ich seemed to clear up in just a day or two, and then she was gone. Its very sad to hear about the Platinum, but in a way it makes me feel that much more comforted. Sometimes it doesnt all go as planned, but im happy to know that im not alone, and i hope you know that you did more for that animal than any carer ever in his life.
The price of the fish should be completely irrelevant. I certainly hope we're not caring about certain fish over others being that this is a rescue, and a non profit, we shouldn't even be mentioning how much this fish "was worth.."
When it's one of your prize fish, in your personal collection. It certainly matters. My viewers like to keep tabs on certain fish. Just like the albino goonch I recently purchased for my collection.

Putting a price on the value of life is a sticky road to go down morally.

Have you ever seen a snow white arrow for sale? Very few in the USA, now 1 less. Not to be mistaken for a albino, or a high shine usually sold as a platinum. Anyhow price is subjective based on supply and demand. That's just what I've seen them sell for in recent markets

Not a waste if they are breeding the rays to sell and offset cost of running the rescue. I do like the albino set up more though lol
