Apparently the more likes and subs a channel gets, the dumber the content becomes. So be sure to NOT sub or like this channel if you want continued good content! Ha! Just kidding, Ryan. Q: Does the plunger solenoid remain energized to hold the valve open as long as there's a call for heat?
Very interesting. Thank you for the explanation. I was curious if the function of the gas valve could be temperature dependent? I notice with my furnace that initially the gas valve turns on and then it shuts down after about 15 minutes. Then the control board does a few retries, and sends voltage to the solenoids, but the value never turns on. I've verified that the limit switch and rollout switch are closed and I have replaced the flame sensor so I am pretty sure everything else is working correctly.
Why many times the valve keep passing gas to the burners when the heater is off? This means that gas is building up inside of the heater and when the heater starts again people can smell gas through the vents.
Just like anything else that is electromechanical, these parts still break even with the redundant system. Sounds like it's time to replace the gas valve.
Thanks for a very interesting video!! Filed for future reference
Thank you very much for undressing a gas valve and showing us how its supposed to work.
Why such a good video only get so little likes. But those stupid ones get millions of likes
Thanks.

@@maxwellsilver3115 yes it stays energized during the entire call for heat
Interesting! Keep it up 👍
Thanks. Open to suggestions
How long do they last? The rubber gasket will age and leak eventually? Should we concern if furnace is around 20 years old?

Generally, temp is not an issue unless it were outside and very rarely stick closed from frozen moisture in the gas.
@@LeeBuilt Hmm, I've got a real mystery on my hands. I think I will buy an new gas value and install it anyway since I can't find anything else wrong.
Tear a part a blocking valve next!
Been too long since this video? Does he even film anymore?

I walked up on a faulty gas valve . it released some type of honey like fluid . What do you suggest that was ?
Where did it release it from?
@@LeeBuilt I’ll upload the video
@@LeeBuilt I mean vídeo name is :
Gas valve releases it’s fluids
