This track came about in 2014. The vocals are performed by Man Without Country & Susanne Sundfør. We wrote this for "The Inevitable End", but couldn't find a place for it there.

Signs of life - introducing «Lost Tapes»
Upon renovating our arctic chateau here in the desolate north, we came across an old sea chest containing an abundance of rare B-sides, exclusives - & even some previously unreleased tracks. We thought the only right thing would be to make these «hard-to-find» tracks available for those of you who prefer to stream music. So therefore we’ve created a playlist called «Lost Tapes». The Playlist will be updated as we go, make sure you subscribe. All obscure tracks will eventually see the light of day.
Why nobody says about that lyrics? They are touching me to the heart. So deep, sharp and veiled at the same time. They have came in right time. At current period I am rethinking my life and realizing "there is nothing wrong", "what I did was right". Thank you, Röyksopp!

There are so many loose parts to the lyrics, you could easily indulge in the desire to cherry-pick any sentiment and assign your own self-pitying interpretation to it... While there definitely is a story being told through the words, it appears likely that the lyricist also wrote them with a certain sense of ambiguity in mind...
Please Röyksopp, keep making music! You make my heart vibrate like nothing else.

I don't think I've heard a track in a long while that's touched me as much as this one. At each level of the arrangement, more of my emotions unlock until they're running wild like a pack of wolves. The Lost Tapes are a timeless treasure for the future.
I've been running from my feelings for so long.
I literally get drunk and go for half marathon runs.
This album and especially this song made me finally meltdown in the middle of one of these runs.

Good description.. i always get an otherworldly feeling from their music..it's haunting ..like someone is trying to convey a message from behind a veil of something unseen, and i get a slightly "desperate" feeling, like i need to decipher it with an urgency.. Very strange mixture of happiness, wonder ,surrender and longing.
Susanne's voice is perfect.

I've discovered soooo many artists during last 20 years (I'm 32) , it's literally beyond comprehension. To be honest, none of them made such a huge long-term impression on me like these two fellas, seriously. If you had asked me like 10 years ago, I would have said Enigma or some other legendary artist. But from this perspective, it's only Royksopp. Even though I'm not listening to them that often nowadays, I'm pretty sure I'm gonna listen to their music every now and then, like forever. PS. Also about RisingUrge: damn, I don't know what this world is called that the track is taking me to, but it's such a transcendent trip. All the best boys!

This song became my anthem of healing and comfort after I escaped a situation that was tearing me down slowly. The words always resonated with me, but it wasn’t until tonight that I found it says, “In the end, they will applaud your fight.” It is indeed very transcendent. If you are reading this and you think you are in an inescapable place know that you are not alone. You can get through this.
Everytime, Röyksopp manage to make music that effortlessly transcends the auditory experience, I can feel every sound in my veins - I am not sure how to explain it but their music fills me up. I hope one day, after this pandemic is finally over, that I can have the privilege to see them live. Incredible.

Yup melody a.m. was the pivotal album.
At the beginning of the song I felt how melancholy touches my soul, but after the minute 3:04 I felt like those bondages from the past disappeared. One of the best songs I've heard in my entire life.

The bass tone is crazy... soooo deep.
It is such a pity, that this track did not find a place in the regular version of The Inevitable End, it would be a perfect closing track of the album and brilliant way to say “goodbye”, I am pretty sure I would cry, when I heard this track after listening to the whole album :D
but anyway I am happy to hear they’re more tracks with Susanne, maybe you could release “Save Me” with regular 4x4 beat, as you played it in your live show.
