When flying formation, everyone but the person with the camera needs to concentrate on flying straight and in formation. Even so, it's scary to play with the camera. You'd best not touch it, or not look at it when doing so.
The one picture I have of me flying at altitude was someone with a camera taking blind shots while flying. A couple turned out, most did not.
