Hi All! yes this is an older project but I thought it would be cool to see all three parts edited into one video... hope you like it. I'll be posting a Q & A video for this project on my second channel Jon Peters Shop Talk ua-cam.com/channels/kYTN9S9PX_pcy4oPYeIDDw.html next week. Questions like where does the water drain and what happens in the winter. If you have any questions, leave them below and I'll answer them in Shop Talk. Have a great day, Jon
Wow the amount of recording an editing that went into this video really goes to show how dedicated you are not only as a maker but a content provider on UA-cam. Great project, well done Jon.
Excellent video and outstanding work. It's so refreshing to see a UA-camr who uses professional grade tools, employs traditional woodworking & joinery methods, and does it in a workmanlike manner. I'm a general contractor and have been working in the custom millwork industry for 30+ years and it's very rare that I see a project video with literally not a single thing I would change. For all the people out there who want to get into this sort of thing, take a lesson from Mr. Peters.
Jon. You’re straight and to the point with your builds. And durable projects. Definitely a role model. No fancy tools. Just gets it done. Thx for sharing. 3yrs...I’ve been w you longer than that!
This is a valuable addition to my woodwork collection ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxbnOKZBE4evMO5V2vroHeCjq6d_MV6wJO I still will rate this woodwork plan as the best in my reference library. It always seem to stand out from the rest whenever you go through the library. This is a masterpiece.
Man, this one took me back. I tore my ACL a few summers ago and can remember being laid up on the couch for a few weeks spending a lot of my time watching the original project videos for the patio build. Glad to see it’s held up over time!
I’m not sure which impressed me more, his amazingly proud work or that he built this whole thing in tan pants. Lol. Looks great! Not many people would build quality like this anymore. I applaud you. 👍🏻
Thanks William.. yeah it’s really doing pretty good. I’m going to post a video next week on my Jon Peters shoptalk channel and will take a closer look and answer some questions. Probably need to refinish the top in a year or two
I remember that build Jon & can't believe that it's been 3 yrs ago now! Time really does fly by........ Nice to see how well it's holding up.............. :)
Nice work! It was nice to see someone actually put on enough stain and then wipe it off the way you’re supposed to. Most people on YT wipe it on dry and wonder why they get streaking.
Jon thanks for putting together the videos of this build i can't tell you how many times i have referenced back to the build to get ideas for my own outdoor kitchen. thanks for sharing keep up the great quality work..
as usual you do inspire people to bring home your ideas. i made the box bed and the nightstands thanks to you. and this kitchen is the next project. if it was as easy as you make it look...... Thanks again for showing us your work.
When a calligrapher reaches a certain excellence they get awarded the title Master Penman. They need to make something like that for woodworkers. I would totally nominate you.
amazing work once again!! thanks for reposting it, i hadn't seen it before.... these are so densely packed with great ideas for a novice like myself, i find that i need to watch them multiple times to pick up on more of the techniques and to help them settle into my brain. what can i say, i find i learn better with repetition
What a shop. I am going to build a new shop this year I hope or at least the beginning of next year. What I would do to have the equipment you have. I am retired now and I ran a shop when I was working and sure miss all the cool stuff I had to work with. It is taking me some time to purchase new machines as they are most expensive. I will never have the quality of machines you have but I will have enough to do some pretty work in the future. I love watching your videos. :Thanks for all you do , Jerry
What a neat and a fabulous job you did. I do not have the luxury of owning the great tool collection you proudly put into your project. I’m inspired now to start on this project with the limited tools I got. Glad I got your video handy as a reference point. Thanks 🙏 for sharing this. Good Luck with all your future neat projects..
Thanks for your video and this nice job. I love it. For the diagonal supporting part on the back of doors, the top side must be away of top hinge, transferring mass torque to the lower hinge, I mean, reveres ly you have done. Thanks again.
Three years since the build. This would have also been a good time to look over the unit and inspect/learn what time/use does to the outdoor kitchen so that others can learn from the test of time with that design/materials/environment. I always enjoy that with my own projects. Thanks for the video.
Very nice, and quality work. It was hard to belive me this video was came from the land of pocket screws. I have seen real wooden joints, it was a real pleasure to me watching the whole video. Thank You.
Hey man, I'm super junior to woodworking, and I just have to say how awesome it is to watch someone like you, with all the skill and knowledge build something out of wood. There was something almost soothing about this video haha Anyways thanks for sharing ! I'm going to check out some of your other videos. Cheers !
Oh man. So fantastically done Jon. Attention to detail EVERY step of the way. This video was so oddly relaxing to watch man. Keep Reppin Jersey Bud. Dirty Jersey out!!
Boa tarde John ! Acompanhei seu novo trabalho, do início ao fim ! Aí eu me pergunto... Porque o ser humano, ao invés de tirar a vida de outros seres humanos, não realiza trabalhos lindos como o seu ? PARABÉNS John... MUITO LINDO !
Have you ever worked with incorporating a stone look to your tops by using epoxy resin? Good way to avoid warping and create look of granite or marble . A couple new products avoid fading/yellowing that previously had been a problem for outdoor projects.
The best part about this project is that you didn’t use a single pocket hole screw!!! Well done sir! Looks Beautiful! I was searching “outdoor kitchens” on YT to get ideas to build one to put on our deck outside the screened porch I have been building for the past 45 days (staining the floor today and it’ll be DONE!!). I really like this design. Simple and somewhat “portable” in that you could take it with you if you ever moved. No warping of the countertop boards since you used some pretty wide plank boards? What species is that for the top? White oak? I was thinking about heading over to a local granite place and buying a remnant since I was worried about the longevity of a wood top but if after 3 years yours is still looking good, I might go the wood route.
You are a good man my friend. Enjoyed the build. Should have videoed my build. I used cement blocks as my base since it wouldn't rot out over time n floor was flat stone left over from patio n walkway projects. Love the channel.
What sort of stain is that, oil or water? then what did u finish it with? I also want to do an outdoor counter/sink and I can't figure out which way to go. It'll be under a covered patio in TX humidity

Endlich ein UA-cam Video, bei dem man bemerkt, wie lange man für ein solches Projekt wirklich benötigt. top 👍
This is the most professional builder and most professional equipment he has I do carpenter work too but his tools awesome 2 thumbs up.
Glad to see that it has held up so well, Jon.
Great build and a no nonsense video. Looks like it held up well.

Always a pleasure to watch you work Jon, caption or not. A true talent.
You, Sir, have an amazing gift and talent. You truly are a perfectionist and you are an inspiration.
Аплодирую стоя! Талантливая работа! По инструменту отдельное восхищение!
I would love to have the skills these Carpenters have. Of course it always helps when you have every tool and every little Gadget
Wow! He is a wood worker, so of course he has many tools. He is giving good ideas.
I’ve watched many of your videos. I even made my own motorized TV cabinet based on yours. This video is awesome!
What did you seal that outdoor countertop with to make it last outside in the weather cuz in the video it doesn't look like you have a cover over it
This was one of your best videos. The music fit the project and you just letting the work speak was great. Look forward to more.
It was a great video years ago. Great to see it again, and it's holding up well.
Thanks Man! ... I do tarp it up over the winter so that definitely helps out.
Nice video, can you share the paint on the counter top table?
Jon thanks for putting together the videos of this build i can't tell you how many times i have referenced back to the build to get ideas for my own outdoor kitchen. thanks for sharing keep up the great quality work..
Wow, you’re a very talented man and you make this look extremely easy. Keep up the great work.
I like your mortice & tenon joints, precise and neat. Oh, I'm jealous of your workshop, too. Nice build.
Great job!! Countertop is beautiful. Thanks again,
Rod
Thanks Rod !
Loved it the first time. Loved the cooking show. Loved the upgrade. And loved seeing it again. Awesome video as usual.
