sadly OnePlus has become mainstream company. I still have the OnePlus 5 for over 3 years with no single problems.
I just bought this phone from Tmobile a few days ago.
It's a great device. It's fast, it has a strong signal 5g and LTE signal, it's smooth.
I don't care about wireless charging ( I did not use it on my phones that had it). The camera is fine for me.
It's a nice phone. I went in to buy an S21. However, I started playing around with the 8T+ and I bought it.

there's a reason i'm still on my OnePlus 5t: its still runs fast. the battery still lasts.
My 8T+ went from 0% to 52% in 11 minutes and 100% in 28 total. A complete insanity.
I currently have a 7t and I really want to upgrade to the 8t, I like the "t" series of oneplus
I recently bought it but maybe wait and get the 9t to benefit from a decent camera that will likely improve with software updates. It'll likely have the 865+ or 888 chip
Mine arrived today. The charging is stupid fast. Crazy. And it came with the wireless OnePlus buds and a case. Insane.

Yes, OnePlus has developed a great fast-charging system with the energy conversion happening in the brick and now by splitting the battery in two along with some software tweaks. So we can get super-fast charging when we need it and not worry about too much extra battery degradation.
I would still say that fast charging like this is really only necessary when you need it, otherwise, just charge slowly, at 5 watts and stop at around 80%. But it is great when you have 15 mins and need an extra 50% to get you through the rest of the day. For many of us in COVID world, fast charging is way down our list of important features as we use our phone less, and many work from home. So the lack of hype is understandable although kudos to OnePlus for great innovation.

@Waqas Ahmad Khan you mean 8t does better with highlights? Look at the board out side, it blown out totally on other phones. Look the lights inside they are handled well on 8t
The phone's pretty good. Got mine yesterday. At the end of the day Yes some photos won't look as good as the pixel 5 or Samsung galaxy se but that's not going be an issue unless you have them side by side to check every now and then

Certain apps like Netflix won't install from google playstore. So is this One Plus 8T+ certify or not ?
If they could put the pop-up camera on this from the 7T Pro so the display could be uninterrupted and the SD Card slot from the Nord in this phone, they would have the perfect phone.

the macro lens is for shots an inch to a inch and a half away. You don't use the macro lens correctly. You cannot take that close of a picture with the main lens. Now having said this.. is it useful meh....
Finally happy to see everyone bashing the 2 useless cameras, the worst OnePlus phone with the most useless cameras is the OnePlus nord.
Well if you zoom in on the really small text under “Never Settle” you will see that it really says Never settle on the flagships 😂. So this doesn’t apply to anything under the Pro models.
I am making the switch from a phone with wireless charging to this phone, and I agree. I think wireless charging is convenient since you can just put your phone done and it charges, but it's so..so slow, and faster wireless chargers have a lot of other compromises due to the heat it generates. There is also the absolutely confusing list of different kinds of standards and speeds that I've found, and other propriety tech. I was sold when I found the phone allows for using regular USB-C PD chargers up to 27 watts, and that the Warp Charger, which used to be a completely propriety charger before, can now charge up to 45 watts (which matches a lot of smaller USB-C capable laptops).
The less propriety tech that Oneplus uses, the better, honestly.
ive had the oneplus 5t with tmobile since it came out. its been getting noticeably slower and glitchy, with the battery draining faster and faster. so i called tmobile and asked if they have any upgrades available. THEY GAVE ME THE ONEPLUS 8T FOR FREE!!! im so stoked!!!
Still undecided about this phone I may just hold out until next year
been an apple user all my life and just got this phone for my work phone... let me tell you this is my go too. I rather have this phone as my daily than my pro max

I bought a phone from Aliexpress it was lenovo z5s globbal rom it has google apps too, everything but Netflix app won't install, or update it keeps saying google play certified needed. So now you know the question.
Just bought the one plus 8t + camera is good but not perfect that's the only thing I'm used to iPhone but can barely tell the difference in the pictures tbh highly recommend this phone it's so fast it's just crazy
