OnePlus uses Snapdragon on all its phones, while Samsung uses Exynos in almost every country but a bunch. Apparently OP is getting closer to a real 'flagship' status in terms of both price and spec but they still lack in higher storage options or micro SD card slot, which is a big turn down. Yes it would be preferable to have better performing model across the board , it would even be better for samsung not having to tune two devices with different hardware , it must cost a fortune in extra time and money for two SOC`s . Personally i think the exynos vs snapdragon thing is a little over blown , in day to day use exynos works just fine , and despite it not being as fast as the snapdragon in synthetic speed tests , it is still fairly fast in day to day . Unless you are a dedicated gamer pushing it to the edge on a smart phone , imo there is not too much to complain about general operation , but on principle ,we should of course all be getting the same performance if we are all using and paying for what is being sold as an allegedly " identical device " .....which clearly they are not .
As I suggested on Twitter (and tagged you by the way), a more apt comparison is between the 8 Pro and S20+, NOT THE ULTRA. The Pro and + have similar specifications, especially in battery and screen size, and both are available unlocked in the United States for $1,000. (the S20 and S20+ are currently $200 off on Samsung's website).
I personally have returned my Exynos s20 Ultra and I've ordered the Oneplus 8 Pro. I'm yet to receive it, but I don't regret that decision to return one bit.
@@Vishnug3_ op8 pro can charge with 30 Watt's wireless charger only if you have OnePlus wireless charging station. It costs 70$. With other wireless charge stations you can charge your op8 pro only with 5 Watt's. And op8 pro can charge your phone wireless only with 5 Watt's.
After 8 years with Samsung ( two Note models and various S models), I've gone for the OnePlus 8 Pro. Pre-ordered but deferred by Amazon nearly two weeks. Looking forward to getting it next week. Being in Europe, I'd be getting an Exynos processor with the Samsung and I'd really prefer the Snapdragon. To be honest, the OnePlus 8 pro is somewhere between the S20+ and the S20 Ultra. But the price and about 50 other reviews, especially this one, have made me jump ship. Add to that Samsung's abysmal update policy! I will miss not having expandable memory, which is why I went with the 256Gb option (I'm a memory junky!). The wireless charging has never interested me as you still have to plug in the wireless charger. With the Samsung you have 45 watt fast charging but only a 25 watt charger in the box. Honestly? WTF?! Please, this is not an attack on Samsung. They make very fine devices but let's face it, their prices have gone through the roof of late. This years OnePlus top offering is still cheaper than last year's S10+.
To your statement on wireless, you only have to plug the pad in once, after that you just drop the phone on the pad every time , not to mention the constant stabbing your usbc charging port with a cable daily will eventually wear it out, and that is now doubled if you use wired usbc phones. Edit: regardless of the galaxy price, the one plus really should be a lot cheaper . when you look at a detailed spec page of which many get glossed over in these reviews, the galaxy does actually have many more features or alternatively the one plus has far less imo. the devil is in the detail. but certainly the exynos is a big down point, which I would not overlook either.
Why is the front facing camera so terrible on the Oneplus though? as if there's a fog or something. Also that color filter sensor is pretty useless. Not sure what were they thinking.
And I don't know why they added useless 100 times zoom in s20 ultra. It cannot be used at all. On top of that we cannot use 120 hz at qhd in s20 series. Waste of buying phone for that price which is limiting the experience.
What is the warranty like in the UK for Oneplus? I really want to buy the 8 pro but is the repair service in the UK any good? I am buying it for my mom so if she drops it or it breaks etc, is the UK good for getting the Oneplus repaired?
I wish the camera on the One Plus was on the side somewhere, not in the middle...using custom cases is horrible if theres a huge hole in the middle of a face or whatever it might be.
I'm very happy with my Oneplus 8Pro 12GB/256GB. My best device I ever had. After many many years I swapped from Iphone to this device. I have to say that the Samsung not worth the price.

Samsung stopped updating s8 after 2 years and it didn't get the oneui2 - that means that probably the ultra will not be updated after 2 years.. I go for the 1+
Great comparison Saf. OnePlus 8 Pro all the way, the price tag on S20U is insane, and it doesn't seem to overpower OP8P in any task what so ever. More the other way around. OP8P worth every penny.
As a previous owner of a S20 Ultra I can safely say that the UI experience with the Oneplus 8 would be a thousand times more pleasant. That shitty Samsung UI and it’s still buggy camera forced me to return it after a day.

S8 plus here - I think I will change the letters but keep the number ;) Honestly, I am not a fan of what Samsung is doing with Exynos, both my current S8 Plus and S6 Plus before it ended up with annoying burn-in and updates were, in Samsung fashion, very late and done after 2 years. Things like Good Lock weren't supported here (nor will they be apparently) so customization is done via launchers. That being said, I don't like the "proprietary" direction of OnePlus either so we will see how that pans out in the future. For now, 1+ seems like an obvious choice.
9:04 why samsung why did u remove that dual pixel auto focus 😥😥😥😥 now even my 4 year old s7 edge can focus much more quicker than something which is worth 6 times more 😭😭😭😭😭
The only thing that bonds me with Samsung is Samsung Pay. That feature alone makes life easier for me. I don't take a lot of photography, but I just like a phone that is practical e.g. Tweeting while I'm on a WhatsApp video call, watching Netflix while I'm checking the web or Facebook statuses or forgetting my wallet in the car and still be confident enough to pay with Samsung Pay even when the vendor is using the old card payment machine.
Of course I go for the s20 ultra recently I saw and other vlog there is a recent update regarding the auto focus.samsung always depends on the update for a better performance.🤙🤘🔥

So far not decided.

The prices are not solely based on the production costs. A huge part is the willingness of people to pay these prices. It's like with these earbuds. Do you actually think they cost so much to produce? No, it's the willingness of people and the fact that they fall for viral marketing like the "sorry, I don't speak to broke" (still can't grasp that most not realize that this is marketing)
Hi Sir.
I have just pre book OnePlus 8 Pro but heard there is lot of issues in Display n Hardware...what is your opinion and Suggestions???
That intro was Super Stylish Saf! 👌🏻😁
S20 Ultra. Nobody talks about all the other extra features that One UI comes with that Pixels and OnePlus don't have. I had 4 one Plus devices and they're all been great but I always missed all the extra features that come with Samsung

Not to mention the problems with the heat and lag in games if u play games.still even if you don't play games the exynos variant is not worth it.

OnePlus uses Snapdragon on all its phones, while Samsung uses Exynos in almost every country but a bunch. That fact on its own makes OnePlus the WAY better phone imo, not to mention the fact that it has a much brighter, higher resolution display at 120Hz and a MUCH BETTER processor at a MUCH CHEAPER price.
Omar these are most of the reasons I have gone from excited about the S20 ultra to disappointed. That and the camera issues. Without a doubt I would look to get the OnePlus instead.

Well OnePlus only have to update flagships so it should be easier, but yeah, OnePlus is better.

I don’t understand why people are complaining about the OnePlus price at £799. Your getting a top phone, what can hang with most of the other top brands out there. What more do people want.
Exactly! Especially when you consider they are fine with the exhorbitant rates put up by Samsung and Apple for their flagships. People just love to complain.
Great Video! LOVE the Intro music. My wife was sitting next to me when I started the video and she started to dance a bit lol!!
Which camera did you used?
Greetings from Germany, we like your Videos.
Apparently OP is getting closer to a real 'flagship' status in terms of both price and spec but they still lack in higher storage options or micro SD card slot, which is a big turn down. They should have at least provided a 512gb option for those who need bigger storage. For photography/videography enthusiasts like myself, even 256gb feels not big enough to store all that big ass videos and apps these days.
if you want faster finger print unlocks for the ultrasonic sensors
Search for "Optimize battery usage" in the settings search bar and then filter threw all the apps, then look for "com.samsung.android.biometric" and turn off battery optimization.
this makes a huge difference.....the finger print scanner should never be optimized , it should always be running in the background.
quick tip for snappier unlock
turn off :screen transition effect off"
go to settings, click bio and security, click on bio preference , click
off
DO these tips and youll find that the ultrasonic is so much faster , its day and night.

agreed. I'm getting a little tired of everything being compared to the S20 Ultra. :/
@@petehelme7714 consider the fact that s20 ultra has 2 versions and one sucks. Then you'll find reason in these comparisons
Could not have said it any better. These expert YT have lost the plot with comparing the wrong phones. Like you say it would have been more fairer to compare Oneplus 8 Pro with the S20 Plus. Also it would better to compare the S20 Ultra with the P40 Pro Plus & Oneplus 8 Pro Mclaren Edition (if it comes out).
Hey mate , this oneplus 8 pro 12 gb 256 gb variant is available @ some 780 USD and oneplus 8 with 12 and 256 gbs is like somewhere @ 655 USD in INDIA . Which one should i Buy - normal OP 8 or OP 8 pro . Is it really worth to spend some more 130 USD on pro version , Please suggest 🙏🙏
Oneplus8pro is clear winner🎉🎉👍👍
Can you do an Oneplus 8 vs Oneplus 8 Pro camera comparison? I miss your old videos with the camera comparisons, you still had the best comparisons.
I just hope that Samsung does something about the exynos chipsets next gen for God sake it’s the only reason why i don’t like the s-series
Unless you are a dedicated gamer pushing it to the edge on a smart phone ,
imo there is not too much to complain about general operation , but on principle ,we should of course all be getting the same performance if we are all using and paying for what is being sold as an allegedly " identical device " .....which clearly they are not .

@@_Juizyy_ Why are you telling me exactly what I put in my comment? And reverse wireless charging in OnePlus 8 pro is 3 Watts and NOT 5 Watts!
To your statement on wireless, you only have to plug the pad in once, after that you just drop the phone on the pad every time ,
not to mention the constant stabbing your usbc charging port with a cable daily will eventually wear it out, and that is now doubled if you use wired usbc phones.
Edit: regardless of the galaxy price,
the one plus really should be a lot cheaper .
when you look at a detailed spec page of which many get glossed over in these reviews, the galaxy does actually have many more features or alternatively the one plus has far less imo.
the devil is in the detail.
but certainly the exynos is a big down point, which I would not overlook either.

To really check on the people who say they are first.
you'd still have several people who have pictures of blank comment sections. In the time it takes to click on a video and make the comment, *at least* 10 other people have also loaded up the video and see that there are no comments. Everyone makes their comment saying they are the first to comment.
