Nice work except for a few things: 1) Eye protection, even just having some dirt fall off the underbody into your eyes is very unpleasant. 2) Some inexpensive air tools or even an electric impact wrench is worth it's weight in gold when working on this stuff. Those bolts would go much, much faster. I invested in some air tools and a 29 gallon compressor when I did my strut and spring replacement and it paid for itself fast. 3) You still got to use a torque wrench at the end, even for a chassis brace. A bit of blue threadlocker is not a bad idea either. Those bolts you had trouble removing were torqued down tight for a reason. 4) When you use music in videos it's best not to set the volume louder than your speaking sessions, it gets annoying having to turn the volume up and down as the video goes on. Anyhow this has me now thinking of getting one myself for my '06 and putting it in while I'm changing out the old bushings for poly.
Jeff Umbach yes you’re right eye protection is very important and I’m investing in better tools to make things easier. Thanks for the tips and thank you for watching 🙏🏼
I’m getting the TRD brace set, which I’m guessing is the Japanese equivalent to the FSport brace. I know how much more responsive these make the car and am super excited!
Yes they’re pretty much the same thing with different name. You’re gonna love how planted it make the car feel 👍🏽 you should get the sway bars as well, I highly recommended them.
Eydrian Flanegin The bolts come off super easy. You don’t need WD40 to remover them. Here’s the link and they’re cheaper now. www.ebay.com/itm/233369350919
Great video!! really considering this brace and this makes it better. Can you tell there are improvements? Did you find it to be worth the $? Thanks and enjoy your lexus
Kalvin Gaskill yes! The rear feel so much planted now with much less body roll compared to how it was before. I will be installing F-Sport front and rear sway bars this week. I'll upload that video sometime this week. And Thank you!
awesome! That's what i want to do as well. Also look into the "Cusco Power Brace" for the rear differential of the car. only $150 and looks like a nice piece for rear end
@@SlowWhip I am looking to just buy the bars for now sir. I read the front apparently arent worth it? what is your opinion was the front sway bar a noticeable difference?
@@shadow36057 The front bar worth it for it. Most of the guys who said that ended getting the front bar. They were meant to install together. Your car will feel more planted and stable when taking corners.
Justin Lopez Yes it will fit AWD models as well. You should be fine because f sport spring aren’t too low. I’m gonna install f sport springs and shocks soon.
Justin Lopez yes I definitely will! You should install f sport sway bars as well. They will make your car handle better and stop learning when taking corners. I made a video on them if you’re interested.
Torque wrenches exist for a reason and even a cheap Pittsburg one from Harbour Freight would serve you well here. It's not just the risk of not being tight enough and something working it's way back out but overdoing it past factory specs can break some expensive stuff, especially around aluminum parts.
I just got the brace :) and after watching this, it'll probably be on within an hour. thanks
xoarz Super easy to install. Have fun! 👍
@@SlowWhip did the bolt come of easy? This will be my next mod.

Where do you get it from?
I would've heloed ya bro.
I just ordered the f soirt sway bar kit for my awd. Do you think this oart made a noticeable difference?
Ty Gaw Yes you will feel the difference when talking corners. You car won’t lean as much as it used to when taking corners.
cool video man, keep up the good work.
WeaponsFree86 thanks a lot man! 🙏
Was it difficult with only jack stands supporting?
Emilio Olvera No it wasn’t! It was super easy, just put the car on jack stands and you’ll be good to go.
Wadson Motoring so no problems since you’ve put the brace?
Emilio Olvera no problem at all. It makes the car drive better, specially when taking corners.
Did you find it easy to remove the bolts? Wd40 was not needed? This will be my next mod. Oh and how much was the price? Ebay link is dead.

Kalvin Gaskill Cusco Power Brace is a good idea. I'm gonna check that out 👍
My IS350 has some underbody panels.
Will chassis brace be in the way of these panels after installation?
Tsuchiya Keiichi what kind of underbody panels? It shouldn’t be a problem.
do you recommend this brace and the sway bars?
Yes! I’ve installed both front and rear F-Sport sway bars plus this F-Sport chassis brace. They work amazing all together

Will this fit awd models. Do you have any clearance issues? I have a steep drive way to enter and im lowered on f sport springs

Wadson Motoring sounds good! You should make a video showing the height of them and clearance distances with the f sport brace👍🏼

Just picked mine up today! Cant wait to install it!

I pm’ed you on Lexus IS Freaks
I just saw it

You need to wear eye protection when you work under the car!
I have safety glasses now
"Make sure you tighten it until the ratchet snaps" what a tool.

Your rear tire is dead.
At that time my tires were pretty much dead lol
