Do you love cleaning? Not all of us have a natural tendency to clean but it CAN be learned. Thankfully I am not the hot mess I was in my 20's! What stage are you in? Where are you on the sliding scale? *Comment your top 3 disaster zones so we can try to focus on them over the summer...together!* BTW, I am taking a bit more time with the family this summer so videos may not be as consistent on a specific day but please know that I am still working hard behind the scenes with the time that I have to bring videos that I hope will help us grow and feel good about our space.
I haven't watched this video, but I wanted you to know how much I enjoyed your video on GOHQ. So far you are by far my favorite new person. I have several of the things you mentioned under control, but I love the idea of thinking about the things you like about your home and how to make the home you have better. And I love, love, love the prayer at the end. Thank you so much!
I sincerely appreciate the feedback. UA-cam can feel lonely and stressful but your comments fill me with hope that God is using my struggles to help others. We are a real community of kindness, support, and love !
Hello Terri...just want you to know that I've been thinking of you and praying for you, especially yesterday...I felt a nudge to pray for you specifically. I hope all is well with you. I appreciate the prayerss that you pour out for all of us. Have a blessed day! 😊❤
Oh wow! God is so good. I was actually having a minor surgery then. I am doing very well and go to get stitches out soon. Thank you for thinking of me and listening to the spirit!
I came home from a 10 day trip and then work, various appointments, exhausted, etc. I needed this video! I have 3 terrible hot spots to take care of today. Plus a short virtual work shift. I'm motivated to get up and get started. Thanks.
I have Skylight Calendar. Not sure it works on teenagers but it working for my husband. It has a chore list. If I have to tell him something more than once, I put that chore on his list. It is saving from nagging and arguments
In the stage of little kids/babies. We go between hot mess and tidy, and that's mostly okay for now. We have some good systems that work well (laundry, dishes), and some areas that need work.
I am exhausted from watching a 1 yr + soon to be 3 yr old since last night...spending the whole weekend which is amazing but my body is hurting! Moms are super heros! Cleaning for 5 hours straight is easier for me now than putting a 1 yr old to bed...over and over again. Oh, my back!
Did you come up with some simple steps to improve those areas? Sometime cleaning helps me get through things (and sometimes avoid dealing with things) because it keeps me from thinking about stressful thoughts. Please remember to reach out if you ever need or want to chat....I am just a friend around the corner! Needless to say, we are praying for you, your family, and your team of healthcare providers. Thank you for having the courage to open up.
@@TodaywithTerriK I've asked a friend to help mevon Tuesday. I was able to get trash picked up. I did move a few piles into boxes and have the boxes close to the recliner. I can sit and sort these into donate, trash, or put away.
Task bracelets (also known as chorecharms), really have been helping alot. They are not the only tool I use to focus, but they sure are a game-chanher for me. I mentioned them a while back as an experiment, and I love them! I call them focus bracelets. I use them for my morning, afternoon and evening routines. And for all categories. Not just cleaning.
@TodaywithTerriK That would be very cool! I saw another video the other day-either a yt short or tik tok, not sure which. The video creator demonstrated how she now uses this method for building her business. I just started this morning with a trick to keep track of which routines have not been started yet and which ones are i n process...like, while I'm still in my morning routine: all un-started morning bracekets are on my right wrist, and the in-proces ones are on my left wrist...or, vice versa if you're right-hand or whatever works best for you. I also push them up my forearm bit as needed so they don't get in the way while I'm working on my tasks
Ok. Completely off-topix, but our female cat recently had 5 kittens and they just started exploring tgs house tge itger day...well.. I'm in my quiet time right kiw, and 3 of those little smidgets have decided that underneath tge couch cushions is a perfect hiding spot....sooooooo....new rule in my house will be...always lift up and check underneath the couch cushion you are about to sit on lol
Found a solution n that has helped. I got a big enough cardboard box to fit mama and babies together. Cut out one end for easy entry and exit, put ahold pillow on the bottom and a blanket on top of the pillow....for a bed. The mama and kittens love to be in the kitchen with me when I'm busy in there. Their favorite spot is an area carpet right in front if the stove the sink. Do, I've bern keeping the bed in the kitchen, and the kittens love playing or napping in it whole I run around thd kitchen. Mama will USUALLY nurse them in it if I'm in there working. It makes it much raider to avoid stepping on or kicking anyone lol. I keep it in the li ing room when I'm in there.
I don't mind the speeded up bits, but if you go to the settings button on the bottom right of the video (looks like a gear wheel), you can change the playback speed to slow down the video and make it easier to understand:)

Good idea. I’ll have to look into that.
Wonderful, wonderful video ❤
Thank you very much! I appreciate your watching and chatting with me.
Watching from Slovenia! Love your amazing channel
I just love being able to connect with new friends from all over the world!

Entry, Livingroom, Hone Office are my major disaster zones! Especially now that I'm dealing with a rare throat cancer that has spread to my left lung.
Praying

HEELLLLOOOO New Hampshire!!! 😎
Mine is still a hot mess, but with relatively tidy patches 😂

Ah, baby kittens! Sounds dangerous to sit but so precious too.
@TodaywithTerriK lol yup! And constantly looking down as I move around the house lol...but they're ao adorable!

Having understanding this video. The sound when you talk was rapid fast and hard to understand. Love your videos.
Sorry about that! Some parts were sped up because the video was so long but I felt like it needed to be said and not cut out.
