Dunno if you saw it,,but a while ago Paul B was doing a update on his P & WE layout he closed a gate at an industry & as he panned away the gate swung back shut on its own. The gates are not spring loaded. Great vid Rob.
Magnificent catches of the model trains coming by and pass, i like it 5 stars. Thumbs up. Keep up the perfect work, my friend, i just liked and subbed your channel, Greetings from Portugal to the USA.
As usual, another interesting and fun update Rob! I didn't get to watch the whole video with my morning coffee, so I just finished it now. The army base will be really cool, it's something that I always wanted to do but never had the room. Everything on your layout is shaping up nicely! When I helped my buddy, Joe Leahy, build his big layout we just had a basic idea of what we wanted to do. The track plan evolved as we built it, something similar to what you are doing. Anyway, have a good week and stay warm 😅!
Broadway Limited may derail because of the tight assembly tolerances with the middle axle. That axle needs more movement than the two outboard axles so that the trucks don't rock. When trucks rock about the middle axle, derailments occur. It acts like a pivot point.
Rob on the WLE engines, put the small WLE on the nose and stripes on the rear. That would look neat. On the calss lights just plate the area of the class lights over. Are you going to have grass coming up in the Guage of the track?
You making some good progress...gotta exorcist that demon spirit out...imagining your mountainous plans around the coal mines; gonna look pretty cool...use the small herald on the nose...of course you gonna have a big Army Base somewhere; like the idea...I winged/sketched about 70% of my layout as I was going along; turned out just fine...
Hey I have some more of those Mrc locos.. They have good gears to my knowledge. They also have decent bodies. I don’t know if you would want them for parts
Looking really awesome, love the Hudson coal branch that looks so cool and realistic.
