    Good view of the basic strategy. I cut the old one off with a knife, no need to pry it off. Yes, it's wise to do this before the old one breaks and the engine starts steaming.

      Haha not far from the truth. I could have used a ratchet or breaker bar on the alternator pulley nut to turn the belt on but the fan was already in my hand 😂

      My uncle had a bumper sticker on an old RAM when I was growing up that read "IF IT JAMS, FORCE IT. IF IT BREAKS, IT NEEDED REPLACING ANYWAY". Word for word. I'll never forget it.
