4:25 before this performance Jin sang 'Epiphany' and it's really beautiful, he's playing the piano and singing while Army sang with him, it's such an emotional performance, and i love how Jin's outfit had flowers it's matched with the Song, it's about a man who grew flowers in his garden for a woman he secretly loved but the woman died before he could help her 🤧
Them deciding to just stand still & do the stage, shows the level of their genius. The combined beauty of this song, their passion & emotion is hypnotizing.

I mean I agree the song and emotion and passion is hypnotizing, and I'm a massive ARMY, but I think it's a stretch to say deciding to stand still is a level of genius....literally most slow ballad songs have singers who stand still because they don't want to detract from the singing etc.
@@udontknowme9405 she means to say that even without any fancy stage or choreo,they were able to enchant so many ppl with just their voices...standing still. Its their geniusness to captivate millions of ppl even without doing anything. Ppl die even if they just breathe,but here they sang a whole song with conveying each n every emotion of the song to the audience perfectly...which is hard for other artists.

@@udontknowme9405 To do choreography to this song would be wrong on every level. It would detract from the meaning of it. What @Alokita Verma said was true yes! But more so is the fact that if they were to move around you wouldn't be able to see the pain in their faces, the loneliness, yearning and at times...loss of hope. I believe almost EVERY ARMY has connected to this song in one way or another at some point in their life and we know BTS have. So to SEE them share that with us, is special. Also... This a story that was so beautifully written, by an ACTUAL genius, and was then geniusly performed by the makanae line. I stand by my statement! Borahae 🤟🏻🤪💜

The truth untold live always hits different... but that The Truth Untold live in brazil that jimin started crying gets me everytime 😩 i literally cant hold my tears in that performance.
This was when they were starting the tour and weren’t going as crazy with the song. There are so many variations to that ending. Jimin’s high note as lib, also a low note ad lib, V doing the ad libs instead, Jimin crying so JK took over his part, JK laughing at his mistake and covering it with fake tears 🤣. You could literally watch every version of this song, and it’s never the same.
Their discography is a treasure full of jewels, all unique ans special.

Jin is my bias, too. I simply adore his voice and Tonight, Awake , Abyss and Epiphany all make me cry. But then again I could listen to Tae, Jimin and JK sing endlessly. I love them all!
Jin is my favorite vocalist too! Other than JK, he also has a stable voice. He is rarely out of tune nor his voice cracks on their live performances. When Jin sings live, I just knew he would kill it. He should stop eating CDs!
4:33 Wow, if you didn't know that Jin's song came before this performance, then this just proves how clever the concert has been put together, because at the end of Jin's song the time comes to a stop.
I love jungkooks ad libs toward the end of the song, they really add a depth to the emotion of the song- and he sounds so good with the other members too

This song is based on a fictional story Big Hit created.
It’s a story called 'La Città Di Smeraldo' that takes place in a small town in Italy in the 1500s-1600s. The story's about an 'ugly' man who hid in an old castle alone. because of his looks he received lots of hate & cruelty while growing up. He never opened his heart to anyone. Whenever they tried to approach him, he hid in anger. His happiness was to plant flowers in his garden.
One day a woman appeared near the man's castle. She jumped over the garden fence and stole a flower. This angered the man at first. So he watched his garden all night. But when he fell a sleep, the woman took another flower. This continued for several nights. The man pretended to be asleep and watched the woman steal a flower. He started becoming curious about the woman. He began waiting for her. without realizing he kept waiting for her to come and the next day seemed a little brighter.
Following after her one day he realized that she was selling the flowers that she stole from him to make a living. The man desperately wanted to help the woman. But he was afraid she would be terrified by the way he looks. He knew she would not love his 'grotesque' appearance. He came to a conclusion that the only way he would be able to help her is to let her continue stealing flowers from his garden. The man decided to make a flower that doesn't exist on the planet. So that the woman could sell them at a expensive price. He began to make the flower in his castle.
After many unsuccessful attempts, the man made a flower that didn't exist and filled his garden. But the woman stopped coming. No matter how long he waited she never came to his garden. He eventually found out that the woman had died.
That's so tragic.

Anthony, please check out Jin's live performance of Epiphany that precedes this. That's why Jin was up front. He had just finished his performance and was waiting on stage for JK, Tae and Jimin. Of course he has on the same outfit so it's pretty easy to find. The live version is much longer than the video and to see Jin perform it live is such a treat.

I thought I'd seen them all but if he's done a reaction to the live performance, I must have missed it. I wouldn't say perfection because Jimin couldn't sing his highnote (I was so sad for him 😭) but yes the rest was absolutely perfect, from Jin and V's emotions to JK's adlibs (Jimin also did his best and the last line was so emotional he was half crying) 💜

So glad to see you react to this. My top 10 varies from day to day and minute to minute, but this song is ALWAYS in it. Also it’s definitely one where their live performance surpasses the official recoding, great as that it. Their ability to stand dead still and convey so much emotion is astounding.

There is one performance of this song when Jin's voice croaks on his verse, and JK starts giggling but tries to cover it like he is crying. 😂 The whole stadium notices and starts laughing at JK. I always felt sorry for Jin because he must have thought they were laughing at him, but that performance is priceless because of JK💜💜💜
Jin did the same thing when Tae had problems during the the Truth Untold. And you know what extent that nut took it to. Absolutely hilarious! (BTW I love Jin. He's my bias.) I don't know who did it first but JK and Jin sort of operate on the same wave length. I'm just glad Jimin never got involved because he gets so uncontrollably tickled. And I don't think poor Tae had a clue, either. Gotta love them all!
