Mod Pack on CurseForge:
legacy.cursefo...
In this episode I build the Stuttgart Public Library in Minecraft using a whole bunch of Mods to help replicate it within the game.
I also tidy up the area around my Hotel as well as creating my very first Mod to add a bunch of very useful blocks to my pack.
I'm having a great time discovering the Create Mod in this fantastic Minecraft world. Filled with mods that add new biomes, terrain, mobs and so much more, not to mention the Create Mod.
Join me as I explore Create and build an industrial world inside of Minecraft.

maybe you should call the hotel 'Le Grand Broyeur', as it means the big crusher, and it uses a lot of crushing wheels.
I like it!
@@foxynotailI agree.
I say Mobschwitz
@@DamianMoerschner that’s good too
@@DamianMoerschner its a kids channel hes not going to make an no no german referance.
With each passing episode, Foxy's sanity deteriorates more and more.
I was quite ill while recording this episode and therefore I can only blame the Cold and Flu relief medication for my actions!
Well its his fault, taunting Murphy and his law like that all the time
What's sanity?

Colored light from shaders is actually more complex than one might imagine. It takes more calculations by the game and takes a toll on frames. One shader that works for colored light emitters is Rethinking Voxels, so I recommend checking that out
thank god im not the only one that thought about it
Is it because you need 3 channel lighting ?
Just in time. I just finished watching Mr Breadstone

For turning the windows blue at night: What about a fluid solution? Have a row of Super-Enchanting Fluid (whatever that's properly called) at the top of the inside of the windows held back by pistons on a timer. Night hits, the pistons retract and the Super-Enchanting Fluid flows down behind the windows!
That would be great, but you aren't able to place it, it just turns into xp orbs that give you a poop ton of xp
oh! he could use detectors instead of a timer :D
Couldn't he just use Water?
@@stefanfranke1724it wouldn’t glow
I'd say The Grand Fox would be a fitting name for the hotel.
Resource packs, custom textures, and now you've taught yourself how to make your own mod - your dedication is unrivalled! Thanks for all the effort you put into this series, man, it doesn't go unnoticed.
Also, the library looks gorgeous!
Hotel Transylvania would be funny
It would also be cool to name the library, The Library of Alexandria because it produces incredible knowledge that can't be found anywhere else
But in hungarian to trigger romanians. It would be a war in the comments. :'D
yes!
It would also be copyrighted and sued
@@Sonic_Aim how?
@megalodonyt8150 1.) The Library of Alexandria was destroyed nearly 2000 years ago.
2.) That's not how copyright works.
To be fair, Hotel California is particularly apt. Because the mobs inside can check out (they die) but they never leave. 😉
Absolutely correct 💯.
The mobs are guests. Foxy is just the owner.
Owner can have special privileges to leave and come back
The little voice you do just never gets old, genuinely just makes me smile every time.
great job on the library. the original actually has an entrance on every side, so that would be a cool and fast improvement
Thanks for letting me know!
@@foxynotailIt also has 2 elevators 😂👍 it has a ground floor to where you can find the toilets etc.
I assumed it would have elevators somewhere lol
3 elevators😊
@@foxynotail hi thank for for the amaizing videos, you are real talented, and you learned in like 4 hours what lots of people spend years trying to learn so good job
Things to add in the back yard of the Hotel.
1. Gazebo
2. Small Botanical Garden
3. Benches
4. Small Fountain
These are just a few. Hope they help, Foxy!
At this pace, you're gonna make a full hermitcraft server on your own.
Things die in that hotel, it gives you weird gooey experiences, it is haunted by the death cries of some evil creatures, the owner keeps hearing voices,... It's the Overlook Hotel, obviously. 😅
you were teetering on th edge of becoming my favourite Minecraft YTer but definitely did it with your rendition of hotel california.
love you content style and love your builds! im not usually a fan of the modern style but you do it sooo well!!!!!!!
For the blue lighting, I started halfway thinking of a decoration mod called "architects palette". It adds a lot of decorative blocks, but the most relevant is the moonstone block.
During the day it looks like a slightly brown version of a basalt pillar's rough side. But when night comes around, it changes texture to a messy blue, and starts glowing brighter and brighter.
Downside is that the stuff is hard to make in large quantities, as it requires you to make another block and toss that through a portal.
Okay the detail on the library is really impressive. I can totally see the Stuttgart library (as seen IRL) in there
I haven't watched a Minecraft survival run in years and your create vids got me back into watching them
I am very happy that someone other than me realised how massive the library in my hometown is and also how much it looks like a minecraft building… THANK YOU FOXY!
Maybe you could call it, the Overlook Hotel. In reference to the shining. They are both white hotels that hold monsters inside them. (also the air balloon above it, could reference the "overlock" part of the name)
FYI the backpacks with shears in a mixing bowl recipe is from the Traveler's Backpack mod, and Create has support for the mixing bowl because it's a shapeless crafting recipe. (If you put a backpack with shears in a crafting table then it will shear it down to a standard backpack)
Foxynotail sure has a lot of tales to tell. KEEP IT UP I ALMOST WATCHED THE WHOLE SERIES IN 2 days.
this Library looks so real!
you know its a great day when Mr Beardstone and Foxynotail drops a create episode
I highly reccomend adding sophisticated storage to the pack. It's from the same dev as Sophisticated backpacks, and has a similar upgrade storage system, but for chests and barrels. Can be a bit more useful than a storage drawer in some cases.
I love the mordor joke that was actually great
World's Fair Hotel: "Where corridors swallow souls and shadows hoard stolen lives" (Nugget of Experience).
Also known as the “Murder Castle”, was a sinister creation by the notorious American con artist and serial killer, Henry Howard Holmes
The reason lights don't glow in their particular colours is due to the fact that all Minecraft lights, even with shaders, give off one colour of light. There are some shaders that have features to implement light based off of certain block textures - Euphoria Patches, which is an extension of Complimentary Shaders, actually does a really good job of this natively, and I would recommend trying that shader pack out for a no-fuss method for that kind of lighting.
If you want to go down the technical route, there are shaders that use volumetric lighting methods to make glowing blocks give off light in the specific colour. However, you will have to edit the config to make your modded blocks work. Rethinking Voxels is a good pack that natively includes volumetric lighting, but you may need to play around with the detailed parts of the config files a bit to make everything look nice.
1000% agree with one of the comments that said you should have day/night sensors that when it turns to night the BLUE Hyper Experience flows down the the on the inside of the windows and should make it glow blue. Once day hits it drains out underneath the building.
You should make an infinite Hyper Experience floor in your liquid storage facility!
Maybe you should name it "Overlook hotel" and add a vindicator with the name tag "Johny". I think it would be a cool reference.
Maybe you should call the hotel "Hotel Transylvania" because it's a hotel with a lot of monsters in it
This place is incredible Foxy! To bring it to life even more, maybe some Straw Statues?
Can you make a giant aquarium?
It can have a kelp farm and it's a great excuse to use glass
Very lovely recreation of the stadtbibliothek, i personally love it and really like to study inside it.
The Overlook Hotel, or the Stanley Hotel which was the inspiration of the Overlook. all work and no play make foxy a dull boy
For the lights make a minecart contraption with the lights and make a deployed place it and another one remove it based on a daylight sensor
You can use multiple carts
I haven’t played Minecraft for a while but I’ve been watching your videos and it looks like Minecraft create. It’s pretty cool.
I like the 'Hotel for Mobs' a play on 'Hotel for Dogs' and underrated film IMO
lmao! I love your alter ego singing the alternate song!
Hotel Foxitonia because, unlike the guests at the Hotel California, Foxy’s Sanity never really checked in
Congrats on the Library. I immediately recognized it. Nice Build👍
You should do both (a pool and more forest)
And I think The hotel could be name Foxes Hotel
For the glowing of the you could use schematic cannon to put the lights at night up and contraption with drills remove them during the day.
This build would look so incredibly amazing with a “colored lighting” shader. In fact, the whole world would. It’s a shame they crash my laptop and make my PC fans sound like they’re threatening to explode.
with the amount of building you have to do, I guess Building gadgets would come in really handy, especially to replace blocks (and get the originals back)
I think ‘The Fox Star Hotel” is pretty good
the fact that youve not only made your own datapack, but now your own mod, is very impressive!!! every video, i get more inspired to start a new create world with your pack even more
I think the hotel should he called The Grand Budapest Hotel.
It reminds me of it a bit.
And the annoyance of the farms gantry breaking makes me think of the whackiness of the movie (but also serious undertones. Like the giant crusher wheels)
Perhaps for the blue light problem, try one contraption per window, same hiding during the day idea. Lag would be a potential problem though
Hotel name: Mob-ster Retreat
Also, behind the hotel, why not make a beautiful english garden. Lots of hedges and topiary. Anyways, thanx for the amazing vid Foxy! 😊
Maybe he can also make it like. An enclosed garden with honey or honeycomb farms on the edge? Enclosed so the goofy bee bug doesn't break stuff again.
Foxy, you inner monologue needs it's own channel !
The Mob Hotel (like a Roach Motel) -- they check in but they don't checkout.
Behind the hotel: Shrub maze garden with multiple gazebos in the maze.
For your inspiration folder: The Seattle Public Library building. 😊
Call the hotel “The Den” because you’re the fox, get it? 😎
You could always try the fog effect on the windows to get them to glow blue and you should use the chipped bookcases to a mixed look so its not all the same books
Ahh Stuttgart. Known for its provocative rave culture and high density of undead.
As someone from Stuttgart, Germany (where this library is) I love this :D
the mob farm looks a lot like the Stanley hotel honestly. atleast the main part of it. call it the Stanley hotel!
Anyone else think that when FoxyNoTail argues with himself, that he kinda starts to sound like a madman?
In my opinion, the grand Fox Hotel does have a good ring to it
add on to your glow-block mod, where if you surround your block in a crafting grid with four redstone, you get a block that only lights up when powered. Maybe something like looking at how comparators or observers work on a code level to make it where as long as one block gets powered, all of the blocks touching it also light up. Then all you'd need is a circuit leading up to the roof, with a single daylight sensor set so when the sun goes down, they all light up.
I can't help you on the colored lighting idea, sadly
Am I the only one who finds this library so realistic you can smell the old books and flourescent lights?
The Grand Grindstone Hotel
btw Foxy this series has been awesome
You should call it The Laughing Fox Inn
I think you should have a gazebo on a pond behind the hotel and maybe surround it with trees
The Grand Foxtail
To turn it blue at night, you vould make a contraption that surrounds the building in the floor boards, then glue them all together and attach them to a minecart. Drployers can place monecart contraptions on rail, and when holding a wrench, they can pick them up. You can have a daylight detector hooked up to it to place the minecart at night and pick it up in the day (with a toggle so it doesn't break itself)
A hotel filled with monster like in Hotel Transylvania... But a lot of butchering as well. Could be called "Hotel Butcherlvania." ^^
If you don't have enough light blocks, I recommend the "Simply Light" mod
Also you have to have the right shader pack to use colored light, complementary reimagined doesn't have this by default. A pack that is based off of complementary reimagined does have this, its called Rethinking Voxels. It is a tad bit resource intensive though
You could use those framed wall boards to make backs on the create seat and have some "couches" like in the picture.
Greetings from Stuttgart, immediately realized the building on the thumbnail :D
Haha ich gehe dort immer lernen 😂😂😂
cough, if you want to hide lighting in nature areas, you can put a glow block 2 blocks deep, then some kind of thick looking leaf block to cover it, sense leaves to gather on the ground. you can had a bunch around it to make it look like a bush.
The Monstrum Hotel. "Monstrum" is Latin for Monster.
Great name idea
Love the alternate lyrics to Hotel California 😀
i believe you can also make books with the fabric made from the chaff of wheat and rice. if you harvest them with the farmers delight knife, it gives you the chaff (that's not what it's called but i forget the real name). but if you want the harvesting to be automated, then you can only do it with rice, because harvesting gives you the panicle that you can manually chop up on the cutting board for rice and chaff.
straw! that's what it's called. the nagging voice in the back of my mind figured it out.
Still wishing you would replace the Bush infront of the hotel with a fountain and a good name would be The Luxury Fox Den
it would look nice if he put a garden at the hotel
I look forward to 'Intrusive Foxy's' first musical album.
i know im super duper late, but there is a mod called "copycat+" which adds more create copycat stuff and they have a shape thats a half panel, can be placed on walls roofs floors, and placed horizontally or vertically on all of them
[which would help make the window blocks wide, but have a 1 block center, and half a block on either side]
Amazing build!
Thank you!
@@foxynotail it is actually really cool
You can use rethinking voxels shaders. It's a very demanding shaderpack, but if you have a beefy pc and you are very passionate about colored lights like i am, I'd say it's worth it. I only use it on certain occasions so it doesnt blow up my pc so it's not that bad.
Hotel name idea: Hotel Foxyfornia
27:51 there are some raytraced shaders that do that, but they are either like in early alpha or paid, alternativelly there's a mod called Euphoria Patches, that adds some features to Complementary Shaders, including colored light and it works pretty decently, judjing from my meager testing
The Hotel North Carolina. It's a lesser known offshoot with less budget.
Yo Foxy If you want the lights to be coloured please check out voxel shaders which just make everything be able to have coloured lighting i think
just an idea :D
i like how foxy is so caring about his viewers that he actually looked up the eagle song to listen to it
When making the book shelves it would have been way easier to use the leather from all the backpacks in the hotel
reminds me of The Greenbrier hotel in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia, which was also used in fallout 76 as it has a vault under it.
You could call it "the Railway Retreat Inn" or "Station Suites"
maybe the glass with redstone lamps so the lamps behind only light up at night and make the blue more vibrant?
Finally, a use for glow squid ink!
I think the back of the hotel has been made into a kind of protected forest
You should call the hotel "Happy mobs hotel" bc this will make them fall into a false sense of security which will trick them to visiting the hotel inevitably leading to their deaths
Edit: im also subscribed
maybe you should call the hotel "le ruse pas de queue hotel" as its the closest i could get to the foxynotail hotel in french
I'd say Le Goupil sans queue is more correct. Goupil is the medieval word for fox, the current word "renard" comes from a series of tales titled "le roman de Renard".
There are fancier shaders that can do colorful lights. Especially path tracing ones
If you really want to do the blue exterior "lighting", then instead of 1 huge contraption that encompasses the entire building (which runs the risk of nuking the interior) you could use 4 separate contraptions (1 for each exterior wall) then just trigger them all at the same time. For the contraptions themselves, you could use extended pistons and hide it all under the ground until night time.
/the monster mash hotel/ would be a lil funny
Hotel Name:
Hotel Foxsylvania. (Like Transylvania because monsters but also 'Fox' because 'FoxyNoTail'.)
You should put a little coffee shop lobby area in the hotel also the hotel should be named like "the Manchester hotel" or something
if you put something connected to your wireless storage system next to a schematic cannon, wouldn't it take from that instead of having to gather the items yourself
