You should 100% post this same video as a short also. Shorts reach a separate audience and this is fire . I would legitimately post it everywhere shortform content is held
Wow, this video is truly brilliantly made. Not only you are obviously extremely good at using Blender, but you truly understand what and why are you doing, and you also have a gift to present that knowledge to others in a very clear way. I don't know if you are aware of that, but that is a really rare combination of talents. And yes, you also have a will and determination to put all of that into work and create videos to teach others. Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge with others and I wish you all the best!
I like this workflow style of video a lot! Makes me want to hop on blender and try my hand at it Procedurally making a donut with just shader nodes was hell, geo nodes are super cool
Awesome. The frosting was a different material with different normal map but it would look better if the geometry was expanded so it looked like a thick layer on top of the donut...maybe some drips...but that aside, the donut was awesome, the production was awesome and the way it makes GNs kinda make sense was awesome. And so are you.
"Sine and cosine, y'know radial kind of stuff" Yeah tell me a couple years ago about this when I was using quaternary math for this crap because I had forgotten trigonometry exists and the domain was only 2D anyway.
So well explained with these geo nodes animations, keep up the amazing work🤌 Edit : I just screenshot my favorite UA-cam giving me a ❤️reply , this will go to my permanent memories .
I can follow along (thanks to all your previous geo nodes videos!) up until isolating z coordinate for the dough separation and related stuff after that :(
What about sprinkles intersecting after you elongated them? I should probably increase the sphere radius to the size the elongated sprinkles are going to be, right?

He'd need to cut 10 seconds off of it for it to be a short.
@@s0david so speed it up .1%
NO DON'T DO IT!
Shorts are portrait video cancer and should be eliminated!

Amazing work as always
I wish I been more creative with my adjectives, editing wouldn't be worth losing your heart , both figuratively and literally 🙃
So so good to see the 'lazy tuts' back!!! And the visualisations make it even more fun and enjoyable to watch, great job!

Great blender donut speedrun. You forgot the delete default cube strat but other than that it was a solid attempt.

OG CGMATTER CONTENT?!?!?! I'm sure I'm dreaming.
Blender guru is quiet since this donut tutorial dropped

There was a tutorial about donuts in Blender ... had to click it ... was worth every minute!
You spend all of this time with the visuals and then have the most assy sound imaginable.
I know. It's so great.
I love this new format!
"Sine and cosine, y'know radial kind of stuff"
Yeah tell me a couple years ago about this when I was using quaternary math for this crap because I had forgotten trigonometry exists and the domain was only 2D anyway.
The sound effects are great lol, reminds me of a Bill Wurtz video with this pacing!
That was Really Good But I can feel The Amount of Work went for this damn.
“you get the point” aha, very clever mr man, very clever
I like the new style, keep it up!!
THIS VIDEO WAS INSANELY COOL! KEEP KILLING IT MR MATTER SIR! 💪🤧
You are just AMAZING, never cease to amaze me!!!
🍩
This video is just gorgeous in every way.
Andrew is proud of you for this one
Coming hot at the Guru
you make a good point
New strat has confirmed
love sound effects ♥
you're the new donut guru
So well explained with these geo nodes animations, keep up the amazing work🤌
Edit : I just screenshot my favorite UA-cam giving me a ❤️reply , this will go to my permanent memories .
the best blender content creator for sure
Cool. The good-old CGMatter speed tutorials are back 😃
Dude you should do a Collab with Bill Wurtz that'd be awesome
idk, looks kinda like a frosted bagel to me 🤔
BRB, headed to dunks!
Will there be a tutorial for this video? This is freaking cool.
This feels like a bill wurtz video but without jazz choirs and way faster
If only making doughnuts in real life were this easy. It’s be like that one episode of SpongeBob where they made Krabby patties with computers.
I can follow along (thanks to all your previous geo nodes videos!) up until isolating z coordinate for the dough separation and related stuff after that :(
Great animation
Danggg, that was pretty. Also pretty fast. Record timing if I've ever seen one.
so satisfying...
Alternative title: How to NOT make a donut.
y-y-you get the point we made a donut
How is that sphere radius merging done?
merge by distance node
guru is silent since this dropped
The real doughnut tutorial
more of this is good
"The donut is inevitable no one can speed run it.."
big brain move
What about sprinkles intersecting after you elongated them? I should probably increase the sphere radius to the size the elongated sprinkles are going to be, right?
Juicy tut.
eternity of tutorials were just converted into 1 minute 9 seconds video
amazing!!🤘
what happened!? i thought i was in a matrix for a sec.
Tasty Geometry here.

Welcome to another Lazy Tutorial for Blender...! I'm your host, Andrew Price...
This is how people wish their tutorials were like.
Broooo !! Post this a short/tiktok, take that money that you deserve !!
Anyone knows where to find a tutorial for making these types of videos?
But is this Any%? As the frosting is part of the material and not a separate SM itself, like the one BlenderGuru made
Barry Allen would be jealous of this guy... ⚡
We must host a donut Speedrun challenge (any%) every year.
tutorial rn 😡
speedrun realistic toilet paper pls
Awesome, but we need the tutorial 😊
Cool
how to make a minute in under a donut!
i want to see your old typo vids in which it seems like u are speaking continuously + fast + in a single breath !!
I'm hungry
What's the name of the beat
Procedural victory
oh shiiiit
Make a fulledged tutorial on this.
No diss at blender guru :(
why didnt you just add normal torus
Because he did it procedurally with geometry nodes
procedural dognut
CGmatter ain’t normal
To elaborate what @Goat pepper herbal tea said. There's no torus mesh primitive node in Geometry Nodes. There's only:
Cone Node
Cube Node
Cylinder Node
Grid Node
lcosphere Node
Mesh Circle Node
Mesh Line Node
UV Sphere Node
Also, in the video he says "... make a donut out of a point" not "make a donut out of a torus".
HOW?!
hey, bet you can't speedrun a fighter jet
WOW 😲😅
One of the least helpful, yet awesome tutorials
Kono speed da?!
Like ignore the tutorial, to make the animations for this tutorial is mad.
how smart do you think I am 🥺
