The Shellback banshee is excellent. I met the owner at SHOT probably ten years ago. I saw the name of his company and, being a trusty Shellback myself, struck up a conversation. After seeing the quality of his products, I was ready for an upgrade. I've been wearing it ever since, and it has held up incredibly well. Highly recommend.
That’s awesome. Thank you for the comment!
I am getting one in a few days is the vest a one size fit all?
@joeljimenez805 yes, lots of adjustment.
I’m in the National Guard and I took your advice. My first commercial plate carrier and it’s awesome. No regrets.
Army 👍 I was Army too bud. Big Army can be a pain in the ass sometimes but I still loved it...great times. Thanks for your service bro
Rocked a Banshee 3.0 (VERY similar to the 2.0) for quite a while and thought it was fantastic. I swapped to a K19 3.0 but only because of how comfortable it is to wear for extended periods of time. So many plate carriers these days are built to run incredibly slick with minimal equipment and are just generally hard to build out, and if sustainment past a few short hours is a priority something like the shellback is just a much better choice in my opinion.
Nice job!
Dope video bro🤙🏾 what’s your mos?
Wait since when could we purchase our own gear? I'd have killed to be able to wear anything else other than the iotv in Iraq.
It’s completely unit dependent and usually up to BC. Although some salty SM will always bitch. We were able to wear a lot of our own shit in the 82nd in the recce platoon.
My old issue vest had the wrap velcro cummerbund but I also got out back in 2013. Having the buckles under the flap like that seems like a really stupid design not only for comfortability but also for dipping out of your vest in a hurry if you got covered in something flammable or in a situation like a rollover.
How does it look with your night vision IR
I'm thinking about picking one of these up. Side question, what watch are you wearing? Thanks
I like mine so far, here’s the GShock: GBD800UC-8
how do you tighten or loosen the cumberbunds? whats the back of that look like? hooks? velcro? that stupid wire shit?
I've had mine for years
I packed / shipped that box 😂
Do you have a video on how to add side pockets for the side plates?
No but I can make one!
@wolfpreparedness I'd be interested in that too, I just ordered the same plate carrier!!
I would like to see a video of this too
@wolfpreparedness have you made the video yet?
will an IJ fit in it
Yes
I wish my unit would let me run my personal shit. We just got the new msv carriers but my personal mayflower is still nicer
