Paul, If your taking a vote, I would say this is the best sounding bikes you’ve had on your channel in a long time. A joy to watch and hear on the open road. Cheers on a job well done. Dan 👍🏍🇨🇦
Of all your rides that I've watched that is the sweetest sounding engine yet to my ears. Sound just like the one a friend of mine had back in '71, beautiful.
G'day Paul, l went up one tooth on the front sprocket of my 2022 Royal Enfield 650 and normally it was doing 4000 rpms at 60 mph and since the new sprocket at 60 mph it's dropped to 3600 rpms with no drop of take of speed and better mileage out of the fuel, your doing a fine job on the BSA, cheers mate, Neil 🤠.
These test rides are my favorite part. The engine sounds so healthy and crisp. Just a blip on the throttle and it revs right up. Not only does the engine have several new parts but also remember it has no carbon build up at all. The valves and piston tops are all clean. The bike sounded the best it has this time. Maybe the gearing change?? It still has a ton of low end torque. The owner is getting a brand new A65!!!!
In Canada with our extensive highway systems I've always considered 17/18 tooth sprockets as sidecar sprockets; 19/20 as scrambler run about sprockets; and 21/22 as highway sprockets. She is certainly better than she was, that's for sure.
hahahah that dog knows you well !! bet the dog waits for you , i get him this time ! nice ride on the bsa love to own a bsa a10 or a65 im riding a bmw currently , paul get that dog a chew be your best friend !
Funny thing...a friend and I were discussing engine sprocket change overs on his BSA just a few days ago. I suggested a 20 tooth sprocket might work well for his requirements... now I'm sure. :)
hi Paul the bike sounds and runs great that gearing has made it a lot better, and i must say i like bike but the dog doesn't like the bsa so much he might be a triumph lover lol.
What no stop at the Castle Cafe in Llandovery cant do that . nice ride bike sounds very nice i will say one thing about the audio it picks up the slightest metalic noise and enhances it
that is one leggy beezer now paul. i was thinking ,had it been used with a sidecar with the lower gearing at some point in its past, its a corker now though ,brilliant resurrection 😊👍
Much much better now. I've been thinking about going up one tooth on my SV1000, from 17 to 18 teeth but am unsure about chain drive chain clearance on the swinging arm, as I have a jackup pair of tie rods on the monoshock. The bike steered like a lorry beforehand. It's doing an indicated 80MPH at 5,000RPM with the standard 17/42 setup, which seems a bit busy for a 1000cc V twin. Mind you, with the 20MPH speed limit, is it worth bothering ?
Poor reliability , oil leaks , makes me wonder how much incompitence played a part in british bikes getting a bad name.seems to me compitent mechanical maintinence makes all the difference .It did with my t 140v triumph.(always regretted selling it) .bsa sounds great 👍
What a transformation! Its no longer a dogs dinner...apart from the Lab's. Did the bike arrive without a left hand side panel or will that be the "capping stone" as it were?
I only came across your videos when you first got this bike in and have followed with great interest along the way. I love the rebuild videos but find the ride outs boring, i just skip to the end to hear the results.

@danielmcneil3004 Have to agree with you there, other than the exhaust there were no other noises at all, a job very well done.

Even from my armchair that bike sounds happier.
The owner is gonna be delighted.

Crisp and relaxed in the same time - congratulations.

I like the steadiness of one carb .Sounds much better at low end than dual carb English bikes.

My thoughts exactly. Sounds sweet and quiet compared with my rattly A50!
I really enjoyed that , Thank you for sharing 👍 and I bet the owner can't wait to get back on her again .
PMSL. Overheard Polish dog owner asking "Why for you keeka my dog, then call him fuck off ?" :)
A nice ride! And good to see some overtaking
We're down that way on the bikes at the weekend, some top roads and scenery, the bike is sounding great 👍👍
Beautiful. It looks and importantly, sounds wonderful. Amazing job Paul.
Well done Paul. Great job. Sounds lovely. I've had many BSAs, ( I still have a few😊), but my 1970 A65 Thunderbolt was the best. I wish I still had it!
That calmed it down a bit 👍 great result bedding in nicely, another job well done.
love the rideouts/ it sounds more relaxed at 50
Great job. The bike sounds much better. I imagine it's now a pleasure to ride.
Wow even the dog likes that bike 🤪
Ship-Shspe & Bristol-fashion !

Have put a 21 tooth gearbox sprocket on mine could still do with a bit more but is much better. Happy days
Great job. Thanks!
Great work! Now it has become a really decent machine! Thanks for the video!
lovely burble

Amazed....Is that the same bike?
Cracking job....go have a beer
Well Smooth-
That F-ING Dog ! lol
Surprised you didn't take 2 teeth off to comply with Drakesfords new 20mph default speed for prams overtaking you!
What no stop at the Castle Cafe in Llandovery cant do that . nice ride bike sounds very nice i will say one thing about the audio it picks up the slightest metalic noise and enhances it

That sounds well now Paul, good job ! If you do that 15 miles probably enough heat cycles to retorque the head down ?
and a Cortina Mk 1 :) Id love one of those.
I'm jealous. To do the ton maybe 21 tooth This gearing seems ideal. 20 mph not too tricky

Fantastic, is really sounding good. Glad the owner is getting a brilliant bike back. Did doing the fork oil make much of a difference?
Thanks, the forks appear to have [some] damping now!

That’s one really good bike now.
From the sound do you think it’ll pull a 21 or even 22?
What a transformation! Its no longer a dogs dinner...apart from the Lab's.
Did the bike arrive without a left hand side panel or will that be the "capping stone" as it were?
Paul mentioned in a previous video that it had come to him without that side cover.
@@russparker71 Thank you.

Each to their own!
Indeed
I like the ride outs because i can pretend that i still own a motorbike!
Foreplay Is boring... But the other half likes It.
D'ye mean tickling carbs?.
i job well done love to have a ride on that sexy machine i might have to get me one.
Had an encounter with a dog recently not unlike this but it didn't end well for me and I ended up on the deck. Bike OK me not so
I haven't 'liked' your comment, for obvious reasons. This dog was run over while still a puppy - it obviously didn't learn from that.
From yet another shiny rip off to desirable riding bike. Dog needs a boot up the Khyber.
fair play in the day they were shit
Bloody dogs, I hate dogs.
