I throw that EXACT same line with my Ghost Widow and 3D Offset...but I throw a bit slower and ball drilled very short pin straight up. Nice to see that line doing well...

@@TheHouseBowling I meant my comment in a good way, not In a bad way. I love, love, love my hammers. Like love them to the point where I have all of them drilled different, from weak to super strong. I honestly can't remember the last time I threw reactive, and I have good reactive balls, i.e Hellcat, DGV, Frequency, Pitbull Bark, Hellraiser Blaze, Hellraiser Return, Medusa. I'm kind of a DV8 nerd, and love my balls but all of my highest scores has came during league when I used my purple hammers.

I just bought a new purple Hammer urethane and I can’t say enough how much it’s improved my game. Last winter league I was around 190 avg. so far this winter league after 6 weeks I’m 206 avg. I trust this ball to come back EVERYTIME! I love this bowling ball 🎳!

@@chadrupert4456 I know there's 3 purple hammers 2 urethane and one reactive and he's this reviews about the reactive not the urethane and I have just bought the reactive because I threw it 5 times and got 5 strikes and fell in love. Think I'm gonna get it drilled with the pin about an inch or an inch and a quarter above the ring finger. The Hammer Ocean Vibe me and my buddy shares pin is like 3 inches up and to the right of the ring finger and it had ridiculous hook and flare on it and since the Purple reacrives meant for medium to heavy oil I don't want to make the ball super aggressive it's already good and the one I threw had the pin just above the ring finger about an inch so I think that's what I'm going to go with but Hammer is confusing they have 2 urethane purple hammers an overseas one and a normal one I don't get what the difference is between the 2
Is your league a sport pattern or house? I just got a purple hammer, and alot of the bowlers at my lanes talk crap about guys using urethane.

Would this be a good ball for me when I see heavy oil? I throw about 17.5 mph, 450 rpm, 2 handed and my purple hammer urethane would just glide when I bowled on heavy oil. And based on my statistics, what ball would you recommend for heavy oil? Edit: I’ve always been on a house shot, no sport patterns.
Please bring some more tips for 2 handers. Especially form and approach
What's your measurements on your strong reactive and on your shined up weaker reactive? Because I just bought one and I can't decide where to drill it and when you resurfaced it from 1500 what'd you do wet sand it with 2000/2500/3000 grit or dry and do you feel it makes much of a difference? I know 1500 grit would grip sooner so I understand resurfacing it to be a bit shinier. But let me know your layouts on both balls also going to talk to the pro shop about it I just don't wanna regret where I get it drilled at you know I'm broke spent everything getting this ball shoes and going to have to spend $50 more to drill it.. but I don't want to get it wrong so if you could tell me both thr strong and weak layouts and the differences between them and how you feel like the out of box throw compared to 3000grit resurfaced?

1st thing I do with a ball is change the surface to something I can recreate Then I adjust it for the house.

Love the videos! Is it better to practice on 1 lane or 2 and why?
Depends what you practice. If you are practicing your release, form or approach. One lane is fine. If you happen to practice on a day where they oiled the lanes, take two, practice your shot and try to score high. Changes balls when the lane transition starts. That's my personal opinion.

I know I'm not packy, but you don't wanna buy a ball just because you over hook the ball. You would want to learn the proper technique before buying a ~200$ ball

I wouldn't call turning the Purple Hammer into a resin ball an "upgrade."
Simply slapping the LED core into a resin shell does not greatness make.
The Purple Hammer Urethane is renowned because it "is" a special formulation of "urethane."
This gives it unparalleled versatility and dependability across every oil pattern today.
However, this resin version might work well on House Shots as a ball down option when the urethane version is simply too early and strong.
I see this as a possibly for myself. Start with the Purple Urethane and once the shot breaks down, rather than move inside, ball down to the Purple Resin and stay put.
"Urethane Gods" forgive me, I think I am going to get one...
Great vid! btw when you say your a slower speed player, how fast do you typically throw? Im a two hander too and I throw around 16-17 and I think its too slow and want to throw it fast cause I see all the pros throwing it 18-20 most of the time. So whats the average ball speed on tour and should I try to throw it faster?
The speed on TV is recorded off the hand, not down lane like at most centers. The difference is around 3-4 mph faster off the hand.
I throw it around 16-17 the pros speed is based off of the hand not the down lane monitor that you see, so most pros probably throw it about the same speed as you!

You still throw it faster than I. You might match up with a weak resin like the gold/red/black rhino or urethane. What do you have already
@@coopergates9680 Have a nova, gb4 pearl, and an all road + my spare ball. Love my nova and gb4 pearl. Have them both drilled so they can be smooth and with a slight hand change I can make them snap. Looking for a 4th ball but dont know what to get. I mainly bowl on the house shot and will be doing highschool bowling soon. Ik you dont need alot for a house shot but I was thinking of a phase II, track stealth (shine it up a bit), or a ufo alert.

Packy, I know you described the use case for this ball, but I'm not seeing it. It kinda reminds me of the idea for the OG Web tour solid, but it's much higher RG than that ball so.. it's what? A 2 piece orange vibe? I never get to higher RG stuff like this. might be good for righties , I guess
What are the two layouts specifically? Is the weaker option still too strong for wood lanes?

@The House Bowling -- Thank you! I know you must get bombarded with people with the same question of "LAYOUT????" as with most bowling videos. I think everyone understands for the most part that layouts are subjective to the bowling style and #s for that bowler, but there is just so little info out there for 2 handers and PSOs that are willing to deviate from the standard chart layouts from 2LS for example that we look to content creators like you for this info so we can have different starting points for ourselves when working with PSOs. Any info you are willing to share like this in the details section of your videos on ball reviews, or just as like a notation on the screen would go such a long way to the growing 2 hand community. Thanks!!!!!
I enjoy bowling videos they help me out a little bit but may I ask what’s the difference between polyurethane bowling balls solid bowling balls Pearl bowling balls and hybrid bowling balls do each have a different curve and power to each one?
Each have a different shape than another those materials are what make up the cover!

So basically this is the hammer scorpion lol maybe slightly stronger. They made a reactive purple hammer already which is the scorpion with the LED core and reactive cover stock. The scorpion is my house shot killer ball. If the purple hammer reactive is anything like scorpion it’ll be a killer as well.

Nice looking reaction on the house shot. You actually only missed by very little at the arrows. I would say that the ball there did not look like 3000. It was too shiny, more like 4500+. Still, good looking. What is the out of box finish ? 2000?
