    Thanks so much for entertaining our sunscreen requests! You have definitely found your niche, I always come to your channel for sunscreen reviews. So far, Olay mineral is my face for my combo skin. I just wish it spread a bit easier and it gets a bit oily in the hottest part of the year, it will be perfect for winter. Love 💘

    I've gone through a ton of sunscreens, and my holy grail is Colorscience Flex (Tan). No white cast and finishes like a foundation. It comes in four shades. First heard about it by black derm Dr Alexis Stephens. I'll do some research on the ones you spoke about.

    I love this video!! Thank you so much for trying all these sunscreens. I went with DRMTLGY SPF 46. I love it!!! ❤️ I have oily, hormonal acne prone skin. My day routine; I use Image balancing Ormedic cleaner, Paula's Choice 2% BHA or ordinary salicylic acid (depending on how my skin is feeling). For moisturizer, I used Image benzoyl peroxide moisturizer. The SPF 46 adds the right amount of extra moisture to my skin and doesn't leave a white cast. I have a caramel complexion.

    The Sheer Joy by Bergen Derm is on its way to me. Thanks for the review. Hope it’s not too shiny 😭 Really wish I could do chemical sunscreen but my eczema says nope. Would love to find a matte or even semi matte mineral sunscreen with no cast, but I think it’s a unicorn 🦄

    Finding a sunscreen that doesn't leave me greasy and ashy looking at the same time is such a struggle, lol. And I don't like the chemical sunscreen for a few different reasons. I've been using colorscience sunforgettable powder and I'm pretty happy with it. I do wish they would extend their colors because my shade can change alot depending on the season.

      I like the Colorscience Sunforgettable but I found that it starts to dry out with time making it hard to spread. I feel like the damage that I'm saving my skin from I'm also doing by rubbing pulling trying to rub it in😔

    Second here and paying attention! Yeah I prefer chemical sunscreens as well. I have two tubes of Make it Matte by Black Girl Sunscreen, (didn't buy two but don't ask) and I am also waiting for the matte to kick in. It is easily the greasiest sunscreen I have ever used but I wear it at home to kill them but yeah my combination skin was like matte where?

    • @realistda09
      @realistda09 2 роки тому +3

      I remember when black girl sunscreen first came out I was so excited to try it! I was using CeraVe Ultra-Light Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30 at the time and it made me soo oily. Black Girl sunscreen did the exact same thing. I ended up looking at the active ingredients and they’re exactly the same for both!! My skin just doesn’t like chemical sunscreens. Right now I alternate between Avene Solaire UV mineral tinted and the Elta MD UV clear (this one is combination chemical and mineral).

      That matte BGS was downright disrespectful. I looked ridiculous 😭 And it made my face breakout because of the coconut oil 😒 I used the rest on my body but it felt like it never dried, set or sunk in. So disappointing.

    I literally was searching for Buttah and Bergen SPF reviews on here (as I’ve been doing for 2 weeks lol) and saw this pop up. I’m like “how did I miss Danielle’s?!!” only to see this is a recent upload! I’m so happy!!! 😂 now let me watch!
    As a side note, that Urban Skin RX Shineblock “sheer” one was a disaster. I previously stated that it was okay-NO! I’m thinking I didn’t apply enough on my first try. I need to go through your videos and delete that mess I put. 😂

  • @NycGuy7
    @NycGuy7 2 роки тому +3

    DRMTLGY Broad Spectrum SPF 45 is good for a combo sunscreen. I like it better than Elta MD UV Clear as it doesn't peel. The initial greasiness subsides after 30 minutes or so. No white cast. It eventually leaves a dewy finish (I have combination oily, acne prone skin). However, my GOAT sunscreen is Skin Aqua UV Super Moisture Gel. It has 100% chemical filters, light weight, gel like texture, no white cast.

    The only thing good about the Blue Lizard is the colour changing bottle. It was so thick and heavy on my skin. The cast was very obvious too. I was excited to try it since BL wasn’t available in Canada before. The sheer versions are still not available here.
    I really enjoy the tinted moisturizer from DRMTLGY. It is glowy but not overly so on my combo skin. The best part was minimal transfer on my mask!
    Love your sunscreen reviews 💜☀️🧴

    That Bergen sunscreen looked...dare I say... *actually* sheer??
    I tried the DRMTLGY universal tinted moisturizer and while I really liked it, I think the niacinamide made my face itch for some reason. It was weird. It still left a cast on my skin, especially on my forehead where my skin is darker. I used the rest of It on my cheeks, neck & decolletage where I'm lighter. I think my winter complexion will work better with the "universal" tint. Also I love the consistency of the formula.

    I'm currently finishing up the Cest moi sunscreen you talked about a while back;the one for face and body though it's too little and ashy for the body so I use it for my face and decolletage. It does leave me a bit greasy. I bought the versed guards up sunscreen as backup. They seemed to work out the poor formulation some customers called out a while back. I liked it compared to the Cest moi. I liked the olay mineral but i don't know if i ran out or the dispenser sucked but I quickly finished them and i bought 2. Couldn't afford to keep spending $30 everytime so it was a no for me.

    Can you do a video talking about how you test so many products and keep your skin looking so good? Like for example how do you take off one product to try the next when your doing demos, ---oil cleanser with or without a water based cleanser afterwords? Do you have a stable routine of product that is your day to day and then you'll mix in one product or two?

    • @styleandbeautydoctor
      @styleandbeautydoctor  2 роки тому +2

      Hey boo! I mostly test products that won’t change my skin (ie sunscreen) and I don’t do it often. I don’t recommend the average person to do this though. With sunscreen demos, as you can see from the videos I only apply one on each side. I remove with a gentle cleanser, but sometimes I do need to double cleanse.
