what i love about cleo is the super specific scenarios and stories they often use in their songwriting that they bring to life with Luke's vocals. You just never know whether hes singing about heartbreak or getting caught smoking weed or just simply thirsting over a Scooby Doo character, because every time he brings the same emotional charge and poeticism to mask the true meaning of the lyrics
Incredible song, that progression in the chorus catches you off guard with the second chord. Great breakdown, lyrical cadence is spot on and creative. And that little skip in the second verse? Woah. These kids know what they're doing. I think they're in their early 20's?
Loved watching this ur review and expressions during had me tearing the place up this one gets me amped thanks for this. Been lucky enough to catch them a handful of times they rock even more so live and they even opened for mine n their favorite Highly Suspect where I met friend band Ready the Prince hoping to catch them.live again with Zig Mentality for what I'm sure will be a show for the ages they're the reasons I've picked up guitar again jus listening wasnt enough had to jam along too!!!!! Thanks!
Hey! I've seen em live and we've been in contact for the past couple of years. The drake is up there, but I'd recommend listening to calling it off into bernard trigger. Belly button blues rips as well. Yo actually, the drake is about a hotel that they performed at when they were starting out, a hotel called the drake. From what I know from the band, the song's about how the two members were bullied in school, and then had those who bullied them come watch their shows.
I’ve been listening to this band for a few years now. They’re amazing. They have a new album coming out tonight actually. Definitely check out City Kids, Friends, Family Van, and Good Grief
this song is great:). my favorite is hometown. I know them from spotify, where they make a boom. How? Easy , the vocal write an email to some lady from spotify, pretend to be a fan and how great cleopatric is :) .I hope they will even be better in future.
It's The Drake, from State Farm... Loved the heavy groove and I agree that there was some angst being tapped into....I found it very 90's-like in it's overall feel....
I love Cleopatrick, The Drake is one of my favourites, but it’s not even the best in my opinion. Some others are Good Grief, Hometown, and some new ones I.e. 2008, No Sweat, a couple of others
i personally think that this song rocks
