I own two Eart Guitars and the pickups are decent to good. I agree with you assessment of these guitars. I don't know what amp you are playing through, but it makes both guitars sound like crap. So folks believe these guitars sound way better with a decent amp or better sound recording methods. Thanks for the review Robert.
One thing no one ever answers on any review is the thickness and width. At the nut and 22,23 fret. Fender usually has 43mm and 57,58ish. Can you give that comparison? I don't like narrow necks I have bigger hands
Thanks. I haven't made those measurements but I believe both have Fender-style width and typical "modern" fender thickness. I'll measure next time I re-string.
Nice comparison. They do both sound very good and the Eart guitars seem great value for money for the specs you get. I have a HSS Fender Player-Plus strat with the noisless pickups, which i like, and it would be interesting to hear a comparison with your two.
Hi! Excellent comparison. I am interested in this guitar but saw another UA-camr say he had to return his because he could not set the tremolo as floating without the strings buzzing against the frets. He seems credible and experient since he plays very well, as you seem to be. Have you tried this with your Eart? I am deciding whether to buy this or not. Thank you!
Thanks for your feedback. I keep my S-style trems decked so I can't comment on that. The trem hardware seems quite similar to a Fender Player, so I don't know why it wouldn't work.
Thanks for your reply. From what I understand, there wasn’t a lot of quality control on these guitars. Some were great and some weren’t. In his review, the strings touched the frets when setting the tremolo to float, making the guitar unplayable. He had to return his guitar. Maybe yours does not have that problem, but it would be good to look into in terms of quality assurance. Keep up the good work!
You could mod out the Eart for a couple hundred dollars and it would instantly be a $3,000 guitar. It has stainless steel frets too if im not mistaken as well?
Pro's will still pay for the player series, as it is a proven work-horse. But on every price level, Eart makes the better product. IMO. Also, they make a single-cut $400. guitar that can rival Epiphone's and possibly Gibson's.

@@twowaymuir Thanks, I’ve been working hard on recording since this one.
So heres a question. If you swap the Eart pickups for SDs, which guitar is the better player. Youre gonna be close to even in cost?
@@scottbryant9425 Really close. The only separator is that the Player electronics are better, for example a Traditional 5-way switch vs. PCB.

Thanks. I have an SSS strat with DiMarzio noiseless pickups, I can try that comparison. Of course if Sweetwater wants to send a Player Plus to me...

@@voyagemusicstudio2758 I think I just saw that video. A luthier can figure that out guaranteed.
eart best qc
@@gitstudy6919 Mine is great for that for sure!

@@MrMfalzone For sure. I added an SD humbucker in the Bridge. It is really rocking now.
@@MrMfalzone Yes it does have stainless frets, they are great.
Used player vs new Eart and the headstock. I know what I'd pick. That said if you could find a used Eart at a good price....
Agreed, but possibly the only exception would be early Players in 2019 or so that had issues with the fret ends.

That is the key for sure. The DMX-9 appears to be unrivaled at $600. I will have a comparison video to a CV Strat next week.
The Eart sounds really close to the Fender. The Eart wins!
It is indistinguishable for the single coils and looks and feels great, it is a winner for sure.
Too expensive.
Maybe - for a good option see my Ibanez AZES40 review.
Eart all day every day no difference especially with the extras on the eart. Your paying for name with fender
