They used to say Africans are useless when i was young. I had a friend who worked with some. Recently I went to Kenya and ended up in an Indian shop to buy some house material with my mother. We got the same racist type of treatment I've experienced with some whites in England and that in Africa. Not saying all Indians like that but that element exist among some of them. 🙄

Kenya treats and recognizes the majority of its residents with respect, as do most African countries. I hope the rest of the world, including India, extends the same consideration to their marginalized Siddi community, which has endured centuries of discrimination. I aspire for India to promote respect and inclusion for Siddis, addressing historical discrimination and fostering understanding to contribute to a more equitable society.
That's the problem with African
Weren't the Indian community driven out of several African countries - like Zimbabwe? ☹️
Plus Uganda.
Discrimination.. Not more than other Indians. They have separate houses, protected, etc. Yes, other Indians will have difficulty to consider they're Indians because 99% of Indians are Asians in terms of race. Lot of people accept them as Indians after meeting them.
Many were driven out of Kenya too. This person is full of c rap

Beautiful thing to see 2 countries healing and thriving after the age of colonization.
Do you know that the US government assassinated a Kenyan of Indian origin, Pio Gama Pinto, in Nairobi, 2 days after the 21 February 1965 assassination of Malcolm X in the US? Pio was sharing ideas from Kenya's liberation struggle against colonialism with Malcolm X. The plan was to broaden the US civil rights movement from black nationalism in the US, to a Pan African agenda, file a formal complaint at the UN etc

Amazing post and shows how broad Firspost is about delivering the news. It is funny as an African from Burkina Faso I did not know that Indians were strong in Kenya until 2002 when I worked with a smart Indian in the Finance Department of British American Tobacco. He was born in Kenya with parents born in Kenya and I learnt it that way. We all citizens of this world. That's why I love Kenya indians
I learned about Thomas Sankara I think in 2010 when I watched a football game between Burkina Faso and Ethiopia. I randomly looked up Burkina Faso. I was so shocked that I never knew anything about the great leader. For almost a whole week, I read everything and watched every video I could find on him. Then I shared it with my friends from across Africa. It shows that we think we know a lot about our fellow Africans, but we don't know enough
@@panafrican.nation Very true. And if these leaders are not part of history books or teaching in school, they are lost forever. Besides Mandela, no leader has had that much impact on me like Thomas Sankara in modern history. It just happens that the same military prep school he went to, I went there too. It is quite funny and eerie. The day it took power to bring the revolution in Burkina Faso, the first shot we heard was exactly 9:28pm and we were sitting in the basket ball court of the school when it happened. In all Burkina Faso there were no much learnt leader like he was. He was well read, well versed. Selfless to the core, can you believe that as a Prime Minister he was biking to work. He refused to get luxury cars for the ministers. We would have all been better off with him. Unfortunately. Blaise Compaore who came after him corrupted so much the country and embezzled so much that you cannot even believe. Thomas Sankara was in power for 4 years and he did not even take a dime from the country. It has been a huge loss to our country.

These are the same Indians that pay their African employees half of what they pay the Indian employees in the same job description group, on grounds of 'the Indians need a higher pay because they have a higher cost of living', which really means, ' The Indian employees live in Westlands and Parklands while the Africans live in Kayole, therefore we can afford to pay the Africans less'. A few years ago, there was a big scandal with Diamond Trust bank regarding this very issue.
And then when you point this out to our mentally colonized (black) Kenyans, they'll tell you ati, at least the Indians are providing jobs..
And don't even get me started on all the ones who want Indians to 'integrate more into Kenyan society' by having them marrying us more...
I'm telling you, we black folks are our own worst enemy.

Everyone needs more than their salary to be financial stable. The best thing to do with your money is to invest it rightly, because money left for saving always end up used with no returns.
