Put me firmly in the "loathe it" camp. We thought we should really check out what all the fuss was about once, so we had a drive up the A7. We parked up & had a walk down the strip. 20 minutes later we were back in the car heading back home. Awful place. And you just know that many of the people who flock there to get as pissed as possible for 2 weeks probably voted for Brexit & would become apoplectic if the Spanish established an enclave on British soil & sent all their chavs there every summer in huge numbers.
SNOB comes from the latin. Means without nobility. Thats you. I & many, 17 million people, voted brexit. All from across the social spectrum. I suspect you're wannabe middle class. But are'nt. Ps. There is a Spanish enclave in Manchester. It's never mentioned. You snobbish little person.
We had a place in Benidorm some years ago. Over many years it was possible to go out of an evening in search of more desirable places & away from the drunken riff raf. Unfortunately it got to the point were it wasn't possible because of the sheer number of immature louts. We sold up & bought a place in another area, life away from the mindless drunks is great.

We must have been visiting a different Benidorm all these years. Often pop up as we live only an hours drive away to watch the acts on at morgans tavern on a Saturday night. Never been offered anything.
My question is : who built and now owns all the bars, restaurants and seedy dives along the infamous strip in Benidorm ?
The Spanish ? I know some places are British owned, possibly not on the strip. This Benidorm story has developed over
the years from el cheapo holidays to manic crowds, together with day & night boozing and a fair amount of drugs. A haven
for older British people in the off season looking for a milder winter climate - they aren’t a problem. I’d stay clear of the
place and try other nearby towns & villages.
Few nights there 2004/5.. concerts in bullring and terra mitica coliseum..(corrs, Bob Dylan, van Morrison..) stayed in big hotel..(tallest in Europe at time?)..was tame enough..suppose everywhere’s got bit crazier just..
People say not for me. Ive been to beni for many many years. Howver i dont go near the strip. Dont like it.i go ro.old town qnd pointe side so different
Love the place but we were offered 'blow' outside the Railway pub this winter. First time I 20 years of visiting. The Indian lads were very upfront and could be caught easily.
Not for me. Give me Tapas Alley and ludicrously priced mini-hamburgers.
Lovely area! Really like that part of the town.
Only go down the strip to go to Palladium to see Wayne&Des.Got asked if i wanted to go into knocking shop.Wife was in palladium,son was with me had to forcefully tell pimp to f off.Got asked if wanted weed on the strip,they got told to stick it where sun dont shine,do the police not do anything to stop the dealers.?

I used to spend alot of time in Calpe & ventured into Benidorm now & again, yet it was always the beer swilling British that spoilt it for the rest.
An absolute embarrassment indeed.

As a family, we love Benidorm the place, it's only the embarrassing drunks everywhere & drug takers we don't like. Without them, it would be a great place.

Thank you for the video. We were staying near Valencia and on the way back to the airport decided to visit Benidorm and have lunch. In my opinion, it's the worst place I have been. Horrible. If we had visited the Old Town we might have changed our minds but the places shown in this video are what we experienced, just not our thing. Good for those who enjoy this sort of place.

I feel sorry for anyone & at any age if they think drinking to oblivion, drugs & any scene connection with either, is living.
I've known many in my life that have participated & everyone of them have related health issues & look much much older than their years.
It screems of a lack of intelligence to venture & stay down that road in life...& what a waste of life each one could have, if only they had the brain to think outside the box alittle.

Strange, been to Benidorm more than 4 times in last decade, never seen the strip I guess a holiday is what ye make it eh ?!!!! Way to avoid and enjoy the sand, sun and temp without the ‘garbage’ that comes in some places 🤷♂️🤷♂️

We go benidorm 4 times a year, love the place, but what is going on ? That strip is getting worse for this drug shit. Where are the police? It gives benidorm a bad name. Look this goes on in every resort. By the way benidorm is huge, it's a city. So much more to it than the rincon, and strip. As you well no..
