Great stuff.............. honestly, i think this is one of the best sounding synths, period, from any era / price range. There's just something so delicious about those oscillators all having slightly (or not so slightly) different settings.
This is not a demo, it's a great piece of music! Nils Frahm couldve build a set around this track. I should switch on my perfourmer more often... Thanks for sharing!
You can look at it an way you want but the per4mer with a space echo is just a heavyweight combo that is undefeatable! Man that synth can sing and that beautiful sequence made it happen. Really good...like really really good! Thank you
Are you plugged into a space echo also? I’m just curious.. or is it just running straight into an amp. Also, i know nothing about this kind of stuff?? Are you pre-imputing the sounds from a midi into the synth?
No matter how many synths come out with all sorts of modern features, I can never get passed the sound of the Perfourmer; I am drawn to it and keep coming back to your videos to get my Vermona fix. Time to buy one!
could you please make a video, about how you program the perfourmer, wich polymode ect.. and what notes do you give the perfourmer? are this accords? or single notes?
Hey Danny, for this piece I was just randomly triggering notes on the Push 2, which I use as sequencer. So the sequenced loop is just a hell of a lot of single notes triggering the Performer in Poly mode..
Keith Haggerty, I’m using Ableton and a Push for sequencing! The interface of the Push is both intuitive and fun for building long sequences. It’s easy to play chords and record the midi notes, or use it as a regular sequencer and program single note stuff which I like!
I’m really interested in how you compose your sequences like this one. The rhythms are just the right mix of random and repetitive. Is it all programmed or do you use a rhythm generator / arpeggiator? Excellent music!
In this piece all notes are programmed. The different octaves and filter settings of the Perfourmer’s four voices, in combination with the long sequence, makes it a bit hard to hear how it repeats. When I programmed the sequence(if I remember correctly), I was just tapping around pretty randomly on my Ableton Push, and then afterwards changed the notes by hand until it sounded good. So it looks like a cluster of short notes in the sequencer. Hope this makes sense!
@@MikaForsling Thanks for explaining - I find understanding the process makes the music even more engaging. Your syncopated rhythms are inspiring! ASCENDING is one of my favourite synth works on UA-cam.
It’s starting with something like soft creamy ice cream melting on hot summer day, and ends up with high power open envelope and filter, enjoyed every second of it, cheers
That's a lot of nice gear you have there :-) Sounds great. That Vermona is properly the best sounding synth I have ever heard. I'm considering getting one.
One of those precious moments where you flow away on the streams of the analog vibes. Lovely! Your head bobbing really emphasizes this feeling, knowing you are out there flowing too 🌈
It came along a single Roland tap switch when I bought it and now I use a CHD controller for sync and programming (which I don't really like). The CR-78 is a real pain to program and it never gets as intended, but that´s a big part of its charm..
May I ask how you wrote the sequence for this :)? It sounds so alive! Kind of like a random arpeggiator with probability on the steps or something. Love this piece a lot!
Hey, thanks a lot! This came up when I was playing around with note repeats on the Push. So all the notes where played by hand(with repeat on) and recorded into the sequencer!

This is so magical. I could listen to this all day.
Guy sells all tables and chairs to buy synths. Sad.
Haha, that's a great comment!
Sounds like Pantha du Prince
I felt in love a second time.... Mamamia.
Great Sounds and Great organic groove
Love this! Why didn't I find this on all my previous searches for Perfourmer videos?!? :-) Great stuff!
The fuck ? Awesome man !
How did you sync them?
dammmn.... :)

so lovely

Yes, the signal are going through the echoes, and an sequencer are triggering the notes in the synth via MIDI!
So lovely. Thanks. Subscribed.
this is quickly becoming my favorite live hardware performance channel
Great. Is this some generative stuff Ableton played?
Its just a pretty long sequence playing from Ableton so nothing generative going on!
Me again... this is still so good ;-)

Your drum programming is pure fire! Wowza
I wanted to leave a comment, but no words can describe the way I feel, so I'll just say THANK YOU!
That’s lovely to read!
HUGE & beautiful man so good

WOW. This was intense. Thank you!
That is why i like the perfourmer.Very nice!
Yes, it´s an great idé with four synths in one and it´s really easy to create an organic sound.. Thanks!
awesome. Just frigging awesome
Just a quick one, could you please tell me what works best for you to sequence and play on this beautiful sounding machine?

@@MikaForsling thank you very much for your reply, I also have a push so this is extra helpful.
Your music is gorgeous

Great sequence and playing !!! Love the Perfourmer ...more than the Matriarch... great vintage warmth in it🙌🏼
Just repeated the performance , amazing ! 🔥🔥🔥, got me into vermona man ✊🏻
Hands down one of the best demos of the PerFOURmer I’ve seen. Could listen on repeat for hours. Picking mine up tomorrow :)
Hey, nice you're getting one as well and thanks for the words!

Awesome!
wow. Master performer. Chapeau.
Magnificent !
Beautiful.
Well done!!!
epic!
You are right.you got good arp sounds from the unit
Nice!
Are you controlling the CR-78 with a WS-1 switch?
It came along a single Roland tap switch when I bought it and now I use a CHD controller for sync and programming (which I don't really like). The CR-78 is a real pain to program and it never gets as intended, but that´s a big part of its charm..

are you also using the DRM1 in the track?
Hi Alex. Nope, no DRM only CR-78 on this one.
Didn't this guy learn to take off hats inside!
