I went to Ridgid's 24v platform in early 2007. First job was a high 2 storey deck, 16' off the ground and 12' d x 30' w. Never had any issues, everything worked as advertised. Fast forward to 2020, I now have both the 12v and 18v platforms. Plus the rolling tool storage system.
The lifetime warranty? Have no issues whatsoever. I have had 24v and 12v batteries replaced, turnaround, 2 days. They rebuilt and upgraded the 24v hammer drill, 2 week turnaround and again all under warranty. I have an authorized Ridgid warranty shop in town and have never had any issues. My first battery that went, I went back to HD. Huge mistake, warranty denied. Took same battery into repair shop? Had a new one 2 days later. I have the 12" compound mitre saw with rolling platform, numerous shop vacs, a handheld vac, couple of radios and stuff I've forgotten. Shop is black and orange and will stay that way.
Man that Milwaukee is a beast!! Awesome video Al. Great you mentioned Ryobi Man Caver. He gave me a great shoutout today as well. Glad we can all help out so many people on UA-cam
Yep us little channels need to stick together!!!
I appreciate you doing this. I've been on the fence of which tool set I was gonna get this week
TTI is the real winner here... 🤣
David Gibson 😂😂😂 truth
What big company is Ridgid on?

I don’t know why I keep watching these videos. Milwaukee wins every time. Milwaukee all day.
I use various Milwaukee tools all day every day to build houses and pole buildings. The outlast any other tool by far and can also survive a hell of a fall
Its just fun to watch. Lol I do the same even when I know the outcome
You do know they're from the same company right? Milwaukee is TTI's professional grade line and Ridgid is the prosumer line...It's like comparing a sedan from Lexus vs. Toyota....
Milwaukee vs. RIDGID is like Lincoln vs. Ford.... same manufacturer, different line of products, different build quality.
You can buy a Lincoln Navigator and drop $20,000 more and you get a vehicle with more leather and wood grain accents, or you can buy a Ford Excursion and get the same vehicle with less bling. Both vehicles will get you where you're going.
Milwaukee is trash
That last bolt test was great. A truth strength plus stress test. This pretty much sums up what is the better tool without having to do any other test. Thanks and Subscribed.
Well thank you sir. I have tested almost every Impact driver on the market, and the Milwaukee Gen #3 has the most power for sure. I haven't tested the Hickoi gen #3 yet, so we will see.
Thanks for watching
I agree. The last bolt duel told the entire story
I live and Milwaukee work in the HVAC field.Milwaukee tool is the way to go always.
It's not just you. Ive done a lot of these tests with the Octane and feel the same way... Under powered. great vid
Hey thanks man, that means a lot I watch her stuff all the time.
I always thought this channel and Ryobi Man Caver's channel had the same kind of vibe. Keep up the good work!
I love my m18 surge, but find myself using the m12 surge more than any of my impacts, got to like the size/weight of it with smaller battery in it, plenty of power for everyday stuff, great video
Damn ridgid was at least 2 seconds behind every time, great video!
Thanks man
I still think the Rigid is an excellent tool if your in that line of tools. Plus Rigid has some excellent deals for the tools they put out. I think Rigid is an excellent tool line. So is Milwaukee. I use mainly Milwaukee but I think Rigid is an excellent tool brand.
Couldnt have said it better. Plus you cant beat rigid's customer service and they have an excellent warranty program which you cant beat as well.
@@tylervanhouden7657 when you're under pressure to get things done in time, and you know you depend on them tools, shit happens. Milwaukee takes the fucking lead.
😖😤... I hate to admit it.
They're the same tool though. Both of them are made by TTI.
Michael Hagood they are under the parent company TTI but are definitely not making the same tools.
@@ADirtyScrub may be the same parent company but they have totally different QC and parts used are not the same at all, mc donalds makes a double QP and also a double cheese burger... are they the same? no.
fantastic video, thx .... keep them reviews coming.....
Thanks man
Sooooo glad my brother from Minnesota is back and rocking!!!! Awesome video Al!!! You ROCK!!!
Nice video, Al. Ridgid just had a killer deal on the 3ah and 6ah battery starter kit, if you put the 9ah battery in the cart with the starter kit,it came out to $109 for all 3. I’ll be watching out for the octane tool deals now
Yeah that's what I got, than I just bought the impact for 100 bucks
I heard something about ridgid deals around the 4th of July, is that true? Do you know anything about that?
Lol torque and speed are not the same thing
Your very 1st test sample shows cut n edit, screws in different location (4:14) just out of curiosity. Looks like Rigid settings was changed based on light position (4:07), don't know what it suppose to be for max torque and speed as I don't have one.
Milkw@kee is nice but on the pricier side, Rigid has lifetime warranty when bought from an authorize seller and you must register the tool/battery in the alloted time.
Rigid has a more ergonomic fit for smaller grips when holding tool that I like compared to Milwaukee.
I feel one should not base performance solely just on speed to get the best out of it. All should be consider; price, warranty, rpm, ipm, torque, dimensions, battery type, weight, availability of tools, etc.
Other than that, it was fun.
That's because my camera stoped, so I had to change batteries and start filming again, and I'm just not that got at editing so it was a little choppy. That's all, thanks for watching
About if you switch the drills Milwaukee on the left side
Does it matter what tool you have? As long as it gets the job done I’m happy
That is very true, I just like to put them up against each other, Its fun.
@@Impact-OG exactly. Thanks for the reviews and entertainment
Milwaukee has been marketing hard lately. While all these test are great none of it really matters for the guy using the tool - what you wanna know is will it last a decade or more. The big thing is can you still buy batteries for your ten year old tool?
Nick J in certain situations a powerful tool can be the difference between a payout in the same day and having to wait a weekend
Well when you take into consideration that the Milwaukee in this video was faster at driving a screw or bolt in yes it does matter. If for example you're building a deck you're going to be finished much sooner. For every screw the Rigid drilled in he could have been on or finished with the second with the Milwaukee. It's about efficiency.
I just started getting into tools a little over 9 months now. I started from scratch. I’m in the constant plumbing business so tools are an essential piece of my line of work. Anyway I didn’t have any tools whatsoever when I mean I started from scratch I mean I started from scratch from a screwdriver and channel locks 😂. And everyone started telling me once you start buying your tools Dewalt and Milwaukee is the way to go. Anyway one of the guys that I used to work with gave me my first impact Ridgid drill. The was my first piece of “real tool” that I own so I stocked with it next I bought my sawzall and I decided to get ridgid because I was in a budget and I got a real good deal for a brand new sawzall and a battery. Anyway my impact drill was given to me and it locked like it was put threw hell and not including the work I have put in it. All my buddies majority own Milwaukee and I can tell the difference not so much in power but in speed and size. But Ridgid has never failed me. I have put my sawzall and drill to work full 8 hours a day and they are still going strong. So it all depends on the person. Like I said the most difference I have seen is that Milwaukee has faster and more compact tools vs Ridgid but Ridgid will give a run for its money.
Oh yeah I love Ridgid!! I have some Octane tool videos coming out soon so stick around man, and thanks For watching
This review was very entertaining.
Well thank you 😊
@Making Stuff and Breaking Stuff with Al, think this Milwaukee has more actual torque and driving power than Makita XDT14? Also, how is the trigger modulation?
The trigger on the Milwaukee sucks, it doesn't always work and you can make it ship if you pull kind of fast. Same with the drill too the gen 3 tools.
Making Stuff and Breaking Stuff with Al that’s a bummer. I’m looking to replace my DeWalt dcf886 which has the perfect trigger modulation. Only problem with them is that the hammers inside are light so you don’t get the torque. Any recommendations for something with torque and a decent trigger would be great. Thanks!
It’s all about the SPM (smacks per minute) with impacts because it’s the impacts that drive the screws in not the rpms
There is WAY more to it than that. If that were the case this driver in the video which is over 4,000 impacts per minute would smoke the 1/2" milwaukee impact at only 2,100 impacts per minute.
WOW! Very well done & presented comparison. I have the very same Ridgid Octane impact driver. Yes, the Milwaukee is faster, has one extra ball for pure strength & power & did good; however, the Rigid is fairly impressive as well. I use mine as a DIY'er & an occasional money maker so, I can't or shouldn't complain. Up the game & make it even better RIDGID!
Thanks man it's nice to get a positive comment ever now and than 🤣🤣, I like them all that's my problem too ask my wife I have way to much stuff 😀😁😂🤣🤣
Is the Ridgid octane battery also considered high output? If not, it would be worth seeing what a regular 6 a.h. in the Milwaukee would look like.
Yes it is, they dont even have a 6.0, they have 4.0 and 5.0 but the 6.0 is octane.
If I were driving screws like that all day everyday Milwaukee for the DIY’er save the $100 get the Ridgid.
for a second thought the drill press was a new ryobi job site light
Hahahaha I wish, they need to put out some thing like the Milwaukee rock light, that would sell like hot cakes.
When it comes to impact drivers, blows per minute means more then anything else (personal experience)
I bought a 12 volt Milwaukee driver and hammer drill. I have 18 volt makita and dewalt and rigid. The smaller Milwaukee are little beasts and they are light weight. That #3 mode is powerful.
I wish I had all those Ryobi tools that drill press in the back looks awesome I'm so addicted to the Ryobi tools I just love them so much I think it's the green color really like your show was the first episode I seen it looks very informative I'll be sure to scribe and follow you or whatever good showing good job
I cheaped out and got on the Octane platform, It's good for price and lifetime warranty but obviously can't compare to Milwaukee products. I'm so heavily invested to make the switch would cost big bucks! I still feel Ridgid is pretty good and innovative with their designs, I love the portable table saw, multi tool, shop vac, jigsaw, 7 1/4 circ saw, trim router, 18 guage trim nailer, saw-zall. All have been flawless and i use all these tools on a daily basis to the max. If I had to drive in a shitload of Timberlocs I would probably purchase a Milwaukee Impact just for the speed.
I feel you man, I have spent a small fortune on battery's in the last year. I mean I just ordered a new 9.0 Milwaukee battery and the only reason i got it was i found it for 110 but normally its like 200 bucks. And considering a company like Milwaukee can make a big battery like that for under 20 dollars so they then mark them up 200 percent!!!!
4:24 literally smoking the competition
You did also put Milwaukee’s large Lag Bolt in the knot of the wood... but yano sure
Yes I cheated hahahahaha, Thanks for watching
and this is the reason why all the people in the trades prefer Milwaukee. This just made my mind up to purchase the milwaukee kit.
You can not go wrong with Milwaukee, They have the best batteries and the largest tool line, give or take a few, some people say Makita but I cant stand the ugly green color!!!
It be kool if u would take them apart to see how there made.🤔👍
Maybe this is obvious but for the Ridgid you set it to mode 3... but it appears to be on speed 1 for the Ridgid?
Got my Ridgid impact driver on Saturday. The Milwaukee was only $10 more but I still went with Ridgid for their Lifetime Warranty.
Foreals tho... all tools fuq up or get stolen but cheaper plus warranty is boss plus tti sells both brands, and seems they pushing hard on ridgid because I got a 5 piece set gen 5 blacked out special edition and dogged them next to default and others, almost 2yrs later I'm still sold on ridgid...
A frickin 9hr Milwaukee battery cost 250... I I got a 9, 6, and hr octane batteries drill, impact and sawsall for 350... umm plus warranty and bluetooth it's a no brainer.... I like Milwaukee but I ain't giving a left nut for half the selection of tools they offer... unless I'm in commercial pay with a company card.... lol
Yeah I herd that rigid has been known for dicking ppl around on that warranty.
Lifetime warranty , yes but don’t forget to register your ridgid tool online.
Great made products don't need warranties. Remember that.
For Rigid been branded for a home user, diyer it does everything the professional Milwaukee can do but just a tad slower, thats more than what other manufacturers can put down.
Yeah especially DEwalt, lol...
I scoff at the notion that Ridgid is branded for a home user. They produce specialized tools that no DIY'er would even consider. You just dont see your average weekend warrior with a drywall screw guns, rotary hammers, planers, routers and hole hogs lol. Those are PRO tools!
I mean for half the price basically the ridgid is a hell of a deal
@@minnesotaman3 No LSA on the Milwaukee, either. Saw that VCG video on the Milwaukee impact driver collet problems, and when they showed how much it cost to have an out-of-warranty Milwaukee repair performed, I just about shat a brick!!
@@certifiedyaminspector-dadd6224 but Ryobi produces more tools than the pros do and it's definitely home DIY quality.
Milwaukee Fuel is the most powerful brushless motor for tools.
even though they might be slower than other motors.
I have a kolbalt and it keeps up with the Milwaukee’s that I use at work and I also think it is designed better
I really don’t care about weight. I own both platforms. Care about getting a job done
I like to talk about the weight becasue guys to work over head all day doing sheet rock and stuff it make s HUGE difference. I use my Makita for that, it is 2.2 lbs with battery, Maybe I am just lazy but I think weight wakes a big difference !!
What's the cost difference between the two drivers and their batteries? They both do the job, but the Milwaukee is obviously faster. Is the cost premium of the Milwaukee worth the time it saves?
You know that's a very good question, the price is pretty comparable it really boils down to what brand you prefer. Thanks watch a man
I’m not 100% certain on how the impact wrench works on the inside but wouldn’t higher RPM equal higher blow per minute also?
You would think so but I feel RIdgid just added a couple more buttons and called it a new tool because its just like the Gen 5x but different buttons !!!
Rpm has nothing to do with power. Think of it like a street bike is faster than a diesel truck but not more powerful.
Matt Boyd
It absolutely has to do with rpm(Gearing) If both can drive the lag down without shutting down then the one with higher rpm will win. Now push both till they cannot drive any deeper and the one that is geared lower or more powerful will win. All things have to be equal to determine which has more power.
@@mattboyd5024 what? that is completely false, rpms in fact play a role in power when a machine requires revolutions to generate power.. That's a horrible comparison and way off topic considering the fact of weight ration to torque and power etc. So generally speaking the bike can put out more power than your diesel since it doesn't have to over work or compensate itself to reach it's target "power". low numbers doesn't generally mean less power.
I'm starting to look into switching platforms. My craftsman c3 tools are all showing their age and I don't want to start buying replacement batteries for a dead platform. I like the rigid for the warranty and the tools are a little cheaper than Milwaukee. But Milwaukee has so many tools. I'm so conflicted!
Milwaukee is one the top construction grade brands, and next step up are premium brands like Hilti and Festool.
Ridgid is a mid-grade tool, somewhere between home owner grade tools like Ryobi/Porter Cable and construction grade like DeWalt/Milwaukee.
Milwaukee's value is in their power, performance, and reliably. You pay more for Milwaukee, but you're getting a better product.
Ridgid's value is their "bang for your buck" especially when you get their kits when on sale. Right now for about $560 you can get 5 of their Octane tools, 4 octane batteries, and 2 chargers.
Similar Milwaukee kits are on sale for about $700 and only has 2 batteries and 1 charger.
You also have to remember that Ridgid offers lifetime on tools and batteries. Milwaukee doesn't offer that, so I'll go with Ridgid.
But the fact that ridgid is better than dewalt lol
i am a dewalt fan, have tons of their tools, but when replacement time comes,, i'm getting milwaukee
IDK why I thought the Dewalt impact is better. Most Milwaukee tools I've used are noticeably heavier than Dewalt. Milwaukee barely has anything made in the USA, despite the name- and neither does Dewalt, but Dewalt isn't carrying a US location for a name either..
@@sly9263 pretty soon even babies will be made in China
woofman stick with Dewalt. I use my tools hard every day. For 25 years. I promise you Milwaukee will not hold up. I use Milwaukee warranty 10-1 over Dewalt! I should say since Milwaukee changed owners tti.
@@benredmond8271 i don't work anymore thanks to being crushed in a car 6 years ago, 7 ruptured discs, i have a combo kit, every tool works perfect except the impact driver, after 6 to 8 screws, it gets really hot,, i have to put it down until it cools off enough to hold it, i don't know why, i take care of my tools, i'm getting a brush-less version soon, mine are 20v, my wife got me a 20v impact wrench for christmas, works perfect,, i've talked to others about my driver,, they all say it's odd to run that hot,, all i can think of is that it's a fluke,
@@woofman4796 babies are made in China didn't you know that they come wrapped in plastic you got to soak them in water they expand like a sponge. Hahahahaha
I’m in-between dewalt-ridgid & Milwaukee for my next tool line whats everyone’s recommendations?
I feel like the Ridgid Octane line pump up there numbers, because in testing there is no way thay it has the power it claims you know, I feel that Milwaukee has the most usefull and versitail line of tools. And the Pack out system is HANDS DOWN THE BEST MOBLE TOOL BOXES ON THE MARKET.. Dewalt I feel has gone down hill, but there flexvolt line of tools is very good im my "opinion" So I would wait if yo can till this fall after thanks givin there will be some KILLER deals for tool kits.
Making Stuff and Breaking Stuff with Al awesome thanks i was leaning towards Milwaukee or ridgid
I have both Mil ..corded Rid cordless. like'm
all. chose ridgid cause of lifetime. my Makitas lasted decades batteries iffy at times with cracks was time for new stuff. now I'm retired but doing kitchens and baths in my home
Yeah tha lift time thing is very nice, But I have hurd thats its kind of hard to get stuff replaced, Or at least in a timely manner. I also like them all that is my problem ask my wife, hahahahaha
Left my multi out in the rain it crapped out they did repair it took 2 weeks I brought it back to Home Depot and they sent it out from their rental department
Thats strange so my gen x 5 impact out torqs the octane with a 4ah battery! The guys at my job have fuels while i have ridgid brushed and i keep up with them!
I've come to notice with tools that testing a single product is irrelevant you generally invest in a platform not a single tool I find that all tool brands have some tools they do better then other tools .. I own rigid or aeg and my boss owns Hilti because I am poor and he is rich .. but still some of my tools out perform his and some of his out preform mine they no cordless router on hilti or reciprocating saw either bit annoying for him .. rigid was what I could afford and as a platform all the tools do the job there supposed to .. unless you want to buy 10 different tool brands and 10 different battery packs individual tool tests seem fairly irrelevant
Well before this video even starts, you have two of the best and evenly-matched tools in your hands, so do I think the Gen 3 Milwaukee will win? I don't know I hope not cuz I'm rigid guy but hey even I know they have her limitations
Milwaukee is miles better then rigid
@@micjubba709 Well, thank you for your Insight and opinion, but not everybody else out there can't afford to have Milwaukee Tools across the line, so I stayed within the TTI family and bought the Ridgid, and I have been a very very happy with my Ridgid tools oh, and by the way, Milwaukee does not have a job Max
Ridgid and Milwaukee are made by the same company, but I would always choose the Ridgid because of lifetime repair warranty and lifetime batteries.
They are owned by the same company but they aren't manufactured in the same facility is what they say
Yup. Exactly
As I can see one arm is pressuring more than the other. Milwaukee his hand is wavering more than rigid. So there is more pressure applied to the Milwaukee. This happens with all tool testing, but both are good in different ways.
Ambos son TTI, pero uno es Fuel (brushshed) y el ridgid es de carbones. Tendrías que comprar ambos brushshed
Not a very good test I'm not interested in how fast it drives, how long do the batteries last comparatively? What if I drop them? What if I'm using them in the rain? So many other variables to decide which is truly better
I have both of these impacts and actually really like them both. The Milwaukee is definitely fast and powerful but I actually really enjoy using the ridgid too. For working in the garage, regular house projects I generally grab it first. Unpopular opinion but truth.
More torque doesn't necessarily mean the ridgid is going to be faster. It runs at significantly lower RPM as well as having less BPM so that's more than likely the difference in speed right there. Both tools are great and I just bought the Ridgid Octane a couple days ago myself since they have the LSA.
OK so the Ridgid has higher RPM'S at 2,400 and the MIlwaukee only has 2,000. You would think that the ridgid would be faster but its not. The Ridgid has 3,500 BPM were the Milwaukee has 4,300 so 800 more thats why it won!!
@@Impact-OG The Milwaukee puts out less inch/lbs of torque than the ridgid unit but has higher RPM and BPM output. Therefore yes, that's why it won. If you multiply the torque of both units by RPM, the Milwaukee is faster still and also puts out more BPM.
I was torn between these 2. Looks like I’m going to Milwaukee. Time to buy batteries $$$! Thanks for the vid..
I have had loads of all the brands - i’ve burnt out dewalt drills and broke their chucks but only after ridiculous abuse.
The only time I have ever felt that something failed earlier then it should have was with a milwaukee sawzall which is had to open and re solder a main battery wire. Also had an early failure on a dewalt nail gun but we were shooting finishing nails into concrete, which it actually did for a thousand nails or so 😂 bent the nail rat which i replaced for 15 dollars.
All the tools are pretty darn good at least the dewalt, milwaukee and makita stuff - ridgid stuff competes but it’s cheaper for a reason really.
Why do you mute the volume??
Both are great tools. Milwaukee is more prone to snapping off bolts if your using something like a 1/4 inch tapcon going into concrete. It also is prone to splitting finish wood if your not super careful. Yes it puts the screws in quicker and can do something's the ridgid can't but it seems if your a diy er or work with smaller screws/drywal or thin plywood the ridgid is the way to go. The ridgid is a little weaker and can't do all the Milwaukee can but if you don't need the extra power having it can split your wood, or strip your screws in less than a second between getting it all the way in and then stripping it. Milwaukee is great if your a mechanic trying to losen bolts in tight spaces or work with framing or concrete with slightly larger bolts. Yeah you can turn down the power to 2 on the Milwaukee but it just isn't quite as powerful as the ridgid which is like a 2 1/3 on a Milwaukee and surprisingly that extra little bit makes the ridgid do things that the Milwaukee will not on a 2 and the ridgid not strip things out as easily as a Milwaukee on setting 3. If they could tune the Milwaukee or give it 4 settings that would be perfect.
Ridgid is a lot more affordable tho
Ryobi HP vs Ridgid Octane impact driver please.
I dont have the Ryobi right now I lent it out to a friend !! :( pick again
Maybe what you could do is have the Ridgid do the same test as you did in your IMPACT DRIVER BATTLE ROYAL. The viewer could just insert the results and compare it with all of the other impacts you tested there.@@Impact-OG
I want a comparison video of a Milwaukee pipe wrench vs a RIDGID pipe wrench, the ridgid will win I bet
Yeah it would. Does Milwaukee even make a large pipe wrench??
Why is no competing with the brush Bosch impactor with the Milwaukee fuel.
I can do that, you want the Bosch against with one?? Ridgid, milwaukee, makita, dewalt??
Milwaukee fuel
Did this guy play Sherman on American Pie?
Impacts per second is key to speed
Rigid currently got bought out by a different company. A much better company than before when it comes to quality. I would like to see another video like this in the future, I feel like the results will be much different.
Rpm doesnt matter, it’s the torque.
It works great and is easy to operate
Witch one? They are great Impact drivers, just go with what line of battery's you are in.
Thanks for watching
What is the exact model of The Milwaukee

The 2 are good brands. You get paid by the hour you buy Ridgit. If get paid by the job you Milwaukee
The milwuakee is a freaking beast !!
Ridgid mode 3 is the one where it starts fast and slows down to avoid over driving the screw.
Also mode and speed are different, you can do mode 3 speed 1, mode 1 speed 2 ect. It has 9 speeds (it took me like a month to figure it out)
If you do the mode where it starts slow then speeds up as you drive it I guarantee it wins that things a BEAST
It’s funny because they’re both made in the same factory. TCI in China.
You know whats even funnier?? Everything is made in china!!!!!
Warranty?????? Cost ?????
Is that Work for concrete?😪
Ridgid impacts have a lifetime warranty that includes the battery though. 10 years and I’m on my 3rd impact and 5th battery all for the price of 1. Milwaukee has a 5 year tool warranty and 1-3 for the battery.
The Ridgid is all Torque, lol , I thought it would have made a difference with those Big Lags though, but nooo....👍
Look at when he squeezes the trigger. You can see that the Milwaukee is on a higher setting than the ridged. I don't think this is a even comparison and I do have Milwaukee power tools.
Those bar meters on the batteries are voltage meters, so when the Milwaukee has 3 bars, it has measurably less voltage than the Rigid and it still beats it.
@@White000Crow unless something's changed there isn't voltage bars on the Milwaukee when the trigger is pulled. It shows what power setting is selected. I've got to push a button on the battery to see where it's at voltage wise.
William Lafferty the voltage meters are on the batteries but it still give indication of what voltage is being supplied to the tool. A full battery is closer to 20v while a battery with one bar is closer to 15v, in a linear fashion.
Jefferyl22 lithium ion batteries are supposed to provide full amp/volt till dead.
boatsnhoesrnice they do provide stable voltage for the majority of their use. The bar graphs are a voltage meter tailored to the battery curve as this is the way they measure battery life. I have designed a few charging circuits for these from scratch, including the voltage meter chips.

Enjoyed the video.
what is the difference in price ?
well ridgid has lowered the priced on the Octane tools, it use to be 129.99 now its down to 79.99 and the Milwaukee is still at 129.99 bare tool only.
I had to borrow my friends rigid circular saw crap couldn't go thru a 2x6 I need to add a Milwaukee saw to my collection
Rigid is for a homeowner.
Milwaukee is for a professional.
Hahahaha thanks for clarifying that. It doesn't really matter what tools you use as long as you can get the job done, I have seen guys with thousands of dollars worth of tools but didn't know shit you know...
@@Impact-OG
I'm a electrician and I am on huge commercial jobs day in and day out. I've never seen a rigid impact on the job site. Only rigid tools I ever see are pipe threaders and pipe wrenches.
Makes sense. Rigid is a mid grade tool company. Not really intended for job site work. Given that, it keeps up pretty well with a high end brand like Milwaukee. For a home user/DIYer I’d say it’s a great tool. Most of us don’t have the budget for professional grade tools if we’re not making a living with them. It’s good to see that the Rigid can at least get the job done, even if it’s a little slower lol.
Ridgid ftw for the price!
I know rigid is lifetime warranty, is Milwaukee too since they are same parent company or no
No
No
@@samaxe3638 well fuck all that then lol
If you have a home shop or even a small business and not in a trade, Ridgid is by far the better choice. Way cheaper and a lifetime warranty over a 5 year warranty is ALWAYS better. And no shipping tools off to get repaired or replaced and waiting weeks, just go to Home Depot to get a easy replacement. Been a woodworker for over 30 years and have built literally 1,000’s of project (big and small) I’ve never once in my life had to drive a 8” or longer screw or drive a gigantic lag bolt in anything. Just switched out all my hand power tools to Ridgid Octane and couldn’t be happier and so are my 2 employees.
If you’re building houses or doing major renovations or in the construction industry, yeah for sure buy more powerful (and expensive) tools.
Yeah I sold all my Milwaukee stuff, they piss me off with there crazy prices. I am not switching over to RIdgid. Thanks for watching man
You do know they're from the same company right? Milwaukee is TTI's professional grade line and Ridgid is the prosumer line...It's like comparing whether is Lexus sedan is better than a Toyota...you're suppose to compare the Milwaukee vs Dewalt vs Makita vs Bosch vs Metabo....Ridgid vs Porter Cable vs Craftsman vs..other prosumer brands.....Ryobi vs. Kobalt vs. Craftsman vs. Wen vs HF
Yes I do, only 10,000 people have told me that hahahahha, and go look threw my videos I do have a lot of those head to heads, thanks for watching
0:08 when u act gangster 😂😂😂
Why would Any serious builder want to pack around a 4 lb impact hooked on your belt?
I dont know. That's why Makita is my go to impact, at 2 lbs it's one if not the lights 18v on the market. Thanks for watching
It turns out that with all the impact vs videos whoever wins in the first test is always the winner. When I saw milwaukee kill rigid in the first test I figured that was it
Not always, but Milwaukee is the king as in power!! I have tested every impact driver on the market but festool, and nothing can beat it, in the speed test.
Its funny so Milwaukee says it has 2000 in lbs of torque, and Ridgid says it has 2400 in lbs of torque, so someone is lying about there specs hahahahahaa
Thanks for watching and stick around I have a couple fun impact driver videos coming out, me and my friend do a Makita shoot out and Milwaukee VS Matabo HPT Multivolt!!!
@@Impact-OG can't wait. I'd love to see the festool impact I've never seen it before.
...220Nm vs 73Nm?
It just a fun video, and the Ridgid claims that is has more torque then the Milwaukee. I am not sure were you are getting those numbers, but here in MN The box says 2400 inch lbs and the Milwaukee is 2000 in pounds of torque
What's the pricing difference?
Albertico Hernandez for those specific tools $90 for the Milwaukee and $50 for the Rigid with Rigid it’s the best bang for your buck, Milwaukee is better performance, but with Rigid it’s a life time warranty on parts while still being a decent tool
nice f150
Thanks man the engine just crapped out and I switched to a Ram 1500 bighorn.. Love the Hemi 5.7
I dont understand why tti would rate rigids impact driver at 2400 inch lbs which is more than the milwaukee
Holy smokes...
you forgot ridgid is less money gets the job done and lifetime warrenty
For weight, ridgid makes a compact model. I will take the lifetime warranty and battery exchanges over a few in-lbs.
I bought rigid. Within a year one drill trigger stuck in on position. 2 other drills smoked. Also got a rigid oscillator tool, trigger stuck. BUYING MWAUKEE !
yeah sometimes you get a dud. I dont know I have had Milwaukee stuff crap out on me too. But over all I would say that Milwaukee is made a little better.
Thanks' for watching man
