- Follow as I pack for the 2019 O'Fallon Crazy Quilt Retreat!
I'll be traveling by car on this trip, but I still prefer to keep my packing somewhat light. I packed one bag and a folding fabric storage bin for this retreat. I'll show the supplies I packed and some thoughts about portable lighting to take along.
I will also be taking my Singer Featherweight sewing machine and a small plastic storage box filled with items I've stitched to share with everyone else at the retreat!
This retreat, unlike many others is simply focused on time to stitch together. To the best of my knowledge, there are no formal classes or outings planned, just 4-5 days of uninterrupted stitching time from early morning to late at night!
A retreat like this is also a chance to renew friendships with others that I've had the pleasure of meeting through the years and to also make new stitching friends! I can't wait!
Because of the retreat, I will not be posting any new videos in the coming week. Hope to be back on track by the middle of the following week!
Happy Stitching! Let's go create something beautiful!
Wow! You have this down pat! Hugs, treen 💕💕💕
Thank you for sharing your video.
Great to see how you organize your trip necessities! Have fun at the Quilt Retreat, wish I could join you!
Wow! You have everything packed for a forever retreat. This is how i need to pack for my RV trips. Thank you. We often go to Loveland, not far from where you are at the time of this filming. Are you a crazy quilt coach?
Hi Lisa ... can I go where you're going ? lol Can't wait to go to a crazy quilting retreat someday. Thanks for the tips today.
Your nice book of embroidery stitches in design, is that you who make it with all the drawings??? It’s so gorgeous! I call you an organized lady!!!
Yes, I am the one who drew all the drawings in my stitch book! Thank you!
Can you tell me where to get grid templates and embroidery stitch templates. Thank you for this useful great information.
Hi Lisa. I LOVE your site ! I’ve been in love with crazy quilting since I was a child after my aunt made us one using all the leftover cotton scraps from the dresses she used to make us. I don’t have any “ crazy” friends near me so your site is a comfort for me. I was wondering where you got the large needle book that you showed in your Packing for a Retreat video ? Also, where do you buy the stencils with all the little holes for marking ? I have never seen them before. I live in Northern Canada so I’m not close to any big shopping areas
Thanks so much Barbara! The needle book is one I made from a class. I'm not sure if it is offered anymore. I'll see what I can find out. The templates with the grid of holes are from Jukebox Quilts in Fort Collins, CO. Here is a link to them:www.jukeboxquilts.com/shop/c/p/Embroidered-Crazy-Quilt-Seam-Coverings-and-Templates-x25101148.htm
Hope this helps!
Did you forgot a threader???
I don't use one!
