I love my Spartan 300. I Use the General Cable in my drum, and it works perfectly. I love the general cable because i can atached the bits easily with a Phillips head. I also tighten the auto feed after every use to prevent the cable from spinning in the van.
agree in part , got even the bigger one. cutting tips make it easier to get it down. got k60 with 5/8 n 7/8 is the bomb open whine can get stuck on sharp bends easier but the machine is vastly more versatile.
Been only using K-60, love it also, usually start with small head, then move to bigger and largest if its grease or roots, so never knew how lucky I was that it so easy to swap them. I carry 7/8" and 5/8" cables for any case. Don`t forget to grease it once in a while also needs a tune up once every few years.
I'm a plumber in my 50's and I slide the gorlitz HD in and out no problem, no helper, I also have a spartan 300, but I use gorlitz cables with gorlitz blades
Ridgid k60 and k50 easy to carry into the job up stairs down stairs what ever and there cables are the best can’t believe guys use drum machines thanks for the videos safe travels
Great video. But u forgot to mention the Spartan Cable leader . U can use half blades. U can use a bolt to hold all cables. U can use a Spartan leader that holds two blades. And it makes all the bends. Or use a Spartan 1065
I’ve learned with spartan drain machines I’m a smaller plumber. I’m not a big guy. I don’t have the capability of caring that big ass bitch up a ladder so I do have a 60 but if you’re coming from cleanout on the ground, they’re wonderful and if you’re having an issue getting the cable through, you don’t run the cutterhead, unless you’ve already gone through with the cable as it is normally you can just poke through the clog with that let it sit there a little bit to open up the roots then you go backwith a cutter head where Spartan succeeded is when you’re inside of a home or a business where you have to run the machine through the toilet because it’s not slinging shit all over the freaking building all over the ceiling and everything like a Gorlitz
What about when you have to use sectional in doors, hard wood floor, expensive tile, I watched Kenny Molotov, he lays out a bed sheet indoors to run sectional
Bro, do it! I was brought up on gorlitz and drum machines and when I tried the k60 I was shocked. Not gonna lie the drum machines may be better indoors but I don't care, I'm sectional machines all day long now

It is what it is. Glad you've found a fitting buyer for your Spartan 300. Cheers dude!

The 11/16? Not being a jerk but I don't believe you. If it's the 1/2 one then I believe it

1065 is amazing but it's just too big and bulky for my tastes. If I ever got another drum machine I'd getthe 1065 with .66 magnum
@@pershingplumbing9007 don't its a beast to load, got 4 of them, everybody gets older, save your back
got 3 2001 models n 1 1065 ,
Good choice. The k60 is my go to cable machine if the k60 doesn't get it I hydrojett
You and I are kindred plumbing souls...I do the exact same

very good info, thxs for sharing...

I just did one yesterday. I just put a drop cloth down
When I started, we didn't have feeders, try pulling a gorlitz, after you run a grease line
Dang! Sounds awful
I started with a k60 and despise big mainline sewer drum machines
Hell ya bro
Why is the viegas pro press video comments off. And do you recommend pro press over soldering
Is it? Press is good when the water won't stop but soldering has its place. You ca t replace either of them in my opinion
good video,,,,thanks man
Where your 2' leader?
Do you ever use spear head,?
I love my Williams 1500 with dual cables 13/16 " and 1/2" cables open drum no tools required to change drums. Easy to carry to roof top access.
Not going to lie, I am looking at a k-60. My backs already bought one….

I used to use spartan and switched to the electric eel sectional that thing is a beast
I almost bought that cable set up
You cut clear a stoppage with out a blade, use a whip
Is the a big difference between the k60 and 1500xp?
K60 is 50lbs and the k1500 is 120lbs abs stands about as high as a typical sewer machine. K1500 cables are fatter as well, 1 1/4 vs 7/8
K1500 more powerful and the sp k1500 can clear roots up to 300 ft and the k60 is max 150ft.
How much you selling it for?
Already sold
No 🥺
I'll be sure to not purchase one.
i click expecting to watch a nice plumbing video but it just you whining about why you dont like your snake
I like the behind the scenes stuff actually
The tile is self explanatory. Plus I'm trying to help people make informed decisions before spending 5k on a machine
@@pershingplumbing9007 Yup. Sensible, level-headed, well adjusted people get it. Cheers dude!
