I can never catch in the Brisbane river 😅 but I went to nudgee beach after watching your videos today and my friend caught a nice bream on the wave minnow!
@@CharliesPrettySigma Hey mate! That’s fantastic news your friend was able to get a nice bream on the wave minnow at Nudgee beach - very well done! Nudgee is a good spot often overlooked by a lot of people. If you can master catching bream at Nudgee you will be able to catch them anywhere. In the Brisbane river you need to pay attention to the tides, moon phases, wind and find the bait fish and where the predator fish are sitting. It takes a lot of patience and persistence but there are some opportunities to hook BIG fish in the Brisbane River. So it’s worth learning. I’ll have to do a few more Brisbane river videos with some tips. Cheers mate & good luck with your fishing 🎣 💯
@@drdonjuan9 Hey mate. Yeah, it was a great little session. Thank you. Lots of fish around at the moment with all this rain stirring up the water and bait. It’s going to be a good summer for fishing I reckon. ☀️ 🎣 💯 Have a Nice day mate!
another cracking video mate, i had so many questions at the start of the video because i struggle with plastics in the river but you answered all my questions throughout the vid. I'm gonna get a td black for chrissy but im getting the 2-6kg because i wanna use it for snapper with light plastics otherwise i wouldve gotten a 1-4.5. i should really try the brissy river around the rain because i wouldnt mind the kind of luck your having😂 all the best mate
Hey mate, thanks heaps for the good feedback. I really appreciate it. I’m trying to be a bit more descriptive in my videos and give some more tips as it’s not always easy to get fish in the Brissy river. The 2-6kg one is perfect for snapper - great choice mate! I have used a TD black 2-6kg rod for the Holt Prawn bream videos at Nudgee. It’s the Deepstriker 703MLFS (7 foot 3 piece)
@@nigiessquidgies all good mate, i cant wait but most bcf's and anaconda are out of stock for it but im getting it delivered anyway. how much less responsive is a 3 piece rod compared to a 2 or 1 piece do ya reckon?
Hey mate, the best times for flicking soft plastics in my experience are 1 hour either side of the high and low tides. Once the current has picked up and the river is flowing fairly steadily. For bait fishing it’s better on the incoming tides as it’s on its way to high. If you can line these tides up with a sunrise or sunset that’s a bonus. That’s what happened today. High tide at 4.30 and then fishing the 1 hour after at say 5.30pm just before sunset. Lining up the tides and sunrise/sunsets like this will help you catch good numbers of fish. It’s worth keeping an idea of all the fish you catch in particular places at different tides, moon phases and times of day. Then you can just fish the bite windows.
Hey, I’m passionate in watching your content and would love ti know the spot as I fish with an array of micro lures in a finess way and Brissie river is local if you don’t mind sharing your spot/pontoon. Kind regards Guy
@@gaffedbyguy Hey Guy, I hope you are well mate! Unfortunately, I can’t give you this spot as it’s one of my little spots haha. However, if you look up all the recreational pontoons/jetties around Brisbane they all fish well and you will be able to do this exact method and get fish. All spots around the river are firing at the moment after the rain. Just make sure it’s a recreational jetty where you are allowed to fish. 🎣 💯 Hope you are well mate! Keep going with your fishing!
@@DoomiePookie Hey mate, It’s a GoPro Hero 9 Black. It can film all the way up to 5k but I mainly film in 1080p to save battery life and memory. Cheers!

Hi what are the best tide and times for places like these pontoons? Crankbaits always seem to work but I struggle with soft lures.
