I think you are spot on about contrasting colors and compact sized baits in cold water. I've had good luck this fall in 40-45 degree water with Bitsy Bugs and 3 inch trailers. Thank you for a timely video with excellent info
Hey Tyler, down here I the southern part of SC. I have found the color Ocachobee craw to be very effective on bass during the winter time. It is a cross between green pumpkin and black with blue flake. Since most of the bodies of water i fish are ponds, this would lean towards a bluegill color which is the primary forage I. Those bodies of water. If I’m going with a crawfish color on lakes. My choice is going to be black and red since our largest crawfish look like a lobster with a reversed color pattern. Tight lines brother
bro idk if its because im fishing from the bank or what but ive been trying all the best stuff and cant catch anything live in kingsport east TN right on the virginia line what should I do lol
Yup same here in MA. Cold water windy. Not even gonna bother 😢 just want one more weekend to try before I hang up the boat keys 🙏 hopefully next weekend
Do find the same is true about water temp in the fall vs the spring? Like is 45 degrees in the fall the same as 45 degrees in the spring relative to jig presence?
Do you prefer a horizontal line tie or vertical line tie? Have you played around with it? I prefer the smaller jigs with the horizontal line tie as opposed to the vertical line tie and have found my success rates go way up using the horizontal tie
@ it was on the Anglers’ Choice Marine YT channel. He did catch one after dedicating time to it, but his verdict was it had a terrible weed guard and got hung up all the time.
lol I have one of those IKE jigs myself I trimmed it all up, still massive lol. It’s so heavy I don’t have a reel with a fast enough gear ratio to swim it 😂 is it possible to catch a fish on that 10/0 hook even? 😂why did we buy them 😂
