I grew up with Brahmin mother even tho I am not brahmin. She use to tell me that just like dog followed Five pandavas and their wife in journey to swarga, after death there's a dog in afterlife will shows our souls path toward swarga.. That's why we worship dog because they stay with us even after death ❤

Yudhishithra was asked to go to heaven without his dog and he refused, so for his magnanimous nature he was allowed into heaven after a short stay in the naraga log because he lied about Ashwaththaama dying in the battlefield in order to trick dronacharya. But yes, the dog eventually went with yudhishithra to swarga. ❤

Nor just a day. In nepal it's a cultural thing to not touch a dog with feet, shoes, stones or stick to hurt them. My own mother used to shoot her slippers at us if we ever touched our dog or stray dog with our feet or shoes, by mistake or otherwise. We then had to go on our knees take one of their hands to do a dhog and ask for forgiveness. We fed stray dogs of our colony no dog ever left our gate without eating something. They protected our colony and at one time we had 5 dogs at home labra, sptiz indie strays. Our colony aunties used to taunt us "itne kutte paale hain betiya dahej me le jayengi kya?" And "yahan logo k khane ko nahi hai inko duniya bhar k kutte palne hain" Not just dogs we have cows and calves coming to our gate too. Because my family feeds anyone who comes at our gate be it dogs or cows or humans.

Im suggesting my juniors to safeguard your parents hard earned money and don't fall into the words of professor ranganathan who joins students in ma applied history just to increase the number of students in the department.The reason behind low number of students in ma applied history is those who didn't get their preferred degree are mindwashed by him and to say that I also studied a master degree in loyola college.
