Im glad this is happening. I spent a lot of money gearing up my Hero knowing full and well that Phantom was my end goal. This is nice as ill be able to do a little bit of catching up for Phantom when it releases.
Really wish SEGA will also surprise us with a PS4/Switch release..... *I'm just hopeful for that*

That's kind of been the theme of PSO2 global all along. If you buy some really rare thing in player shops for obscene prices (well, aside from cosmetics...) then you get screwed long term because either it or something better will be made easily obtainable later on.
I'm not really complaining, with the pace global has been moving (8 years worth of content in 1 year...) they kind of have to give players easier ways to get things. Just pointing out that it does pay to be a little frugal with your meseta.
@@kevadu I'm glad the JP veteran in my alliance were telling new players to not spend much at all in the player shop for weapons or units, unless you really really need it for whatever reason. Many of us listen, knowing the current pace Global is going fast into EP6. Most of us are still rocking Circ Units and Cleasis Units lol, still gets the job done.
There isn't any right or wrong answer, its all about using meseta wisely a casual player like me and thinking ahead of what's coming up next later down in the continent. :)

Since Luster isn’t releasing just yet and I wanna prepare for it, may I ask if any of the new scion classes benefit from r-attack affixed units and weapons? Just so I can play one until Luster releases.
Not really, as Hero is all 3 Weapons, Phantom is basically Tech / Rod, and Etoile is pure Striking. Luster will be all Ranged, so you're a little out of luck on that one haha
You can give Ranger, Gunner, or Bow Braver a go though since you can run R-ATK on those classes comfortably
I play Hero R-Attack(250 r-attack units), Atlas EX TMG with lifesteal s4 so my HP its always maxed in case a monster hit me, sometimes i swap weapons to get My hero time maxed faster or heal PP while i keep attacking. Love the TMG to be honnest... but like @Azelyra said its based on 3 weapon swaps. I still manage o get all the agro to myself even with a full room party. I even managed to get almost 6000 point on the last Arks league on Global. So its really your choice. Try any Range class and see wich one is to your liking.
It's possible to play pure TMG Hero of course, but the tradeoff being that TMG has the least generation of Hero Gear out of the three weapons. Overall usage wise, it's significantly better to play 3 literally because faster gear gain = more hero time, which means more damage and uptime in general, as well as failsafe due to the instant max hero boost generation on HT ~
But yup! At the end of the day it's all up to preference. We play it to have fun, so we find what's the most fun for us, and fun is defined different for each person so, that's just how it is haha
Obviously Phantom Rifle. Rod is the most powerful one, but this doesnt mean the other 2 weapons are useless, or else they wouldn't be there.

Everyone suggests Rod, which is the most powerful out of the 3. I'll stick with rifle since is mad sick tho
@@ok_listen Rod is the best, but if you're more comfortable with katana or rifle, you'll end up doing better than you would with rod. Playstyle affects dps the most, and unless you're really doing the hardest stuff in the game as fast as possible you dont have to worry at all!

So basically, I'd still need to be at least about max level to participate here. Doubtful that I could still easily reach endgame in 3 days from lvl 1, unless I'm a veteran player.
Wrong. You can get an endgame 15 star weapon from clearing ONE single quest at ANY DIFFICULTY, and just for logging in you get 14 GOLD Tokyo Keys which with the appropriate boosters can get you 10-12+ Million EXP in one run. You only need 120 Million or so EXP to reach Level 80. Powerleveling takes 3-4 Hours MAX, and you only need to be Level 50 for that. ANYONE can do this regardless of veterancy.
@@Azelyra I mean, you'd need to know the exact steps for powerleveling from 1 to 50lvl in 4 hours, just to access tokyo thing, wouldnt you? What about the mobs? Ik they give you the weapon, but what about skills and shit?
Not to mention there will be a exp focused limited time quest, which you can farm a LOT of exp real quick
@@avendurree he means u can just use gold tokyo keys to lvl up to max, and even if u dont use boosts and fail completely, u can still reach lvl 50 at least. from lvl 50 to 80 can be easily power lvled in a few hrs (at least thats what im assuming since i havent played for months lol)

i absolutely hate this event huge middle flinger to all players who farmed thier gear and litteraly robing players without endgame gear the incentive to play after reaching max level
It's about catching up, because once Episode 6 hits in 4 weeks or so, the grinding will have to continue again. These weapons won't last for more than a month or two (being very generous with timeframe here), and even for the people who "farmed their gear" why would you not want free extra gear? You can gear up alt characters or classes, unless you don't play any, then I understand.
