To be clear (after posting this on reddit and have some discussion), this video is about how I play, and the information I gathered during playing. It might be out dated or wrong, or even there're better option, etc. For example, someone on reddit mentioned shift step ring for phantom, and also the good PAs that I don't use so didn't talk about.

Also, I hadn't been playing any PSO2 since my last upload until last week, so the final combat example sequence isn't at my best, but it's still enough to represent how I play.
As if i wasn't hype enough for Phantom to come to the NA version already, i didn't realize it was THIS cool. Very well done video.

What of I only want to do rifle and nothing else what should I focus on in terms of gear?
Nothing much I think...just about the skill tree IMO. Rifle seems to be pretty simple for me, not sure those who main rifle will agree or not.
Hi again! Since this class is something I assume will be coming to NA soon, is there maybe a skill tree recommendation you have in mind for a katana-focused Phantom? Thanks again for your patience, I've been more and more appreciative of this video as time goes on
There's not much other things to invest, anyway personally I will take out things that's not close combat related and invest Dodge Counter Shot or Dodge PP Gain.
I know I'm late to the party, but for Rose Schwert you say to cast quick cut to avoid its hit recovery and then in the video you do it real fast, but right now when I'm playing if I use quick cut it will automatically shift my next Rose Schwert so I can't spam it so fast. how do you do it like that?
Sorry I might not make it clear enough. What "cast quick cut to avoid it's hit recovery" is meant to say the movement about the animations after the flash that can trigger Quick Cut.
If you hold down W while casting it, you'll find yourself being stuck and can't move for a full second, after the flash appears. So I said cast Quick Cut at this flash to prevent yourself from being stucked in animation.
Of course you can also step cancel it, but I prefer Quick Cut just because if there's other mobs around, it will mostly automatically flash myself towards them.
If you're trying to spam the PA, just keep spamming it, no need to cancel. The JA circle appears pretty early, so you don't even have to see the flash to re-cast it.

Yes, especially if you invest the bottom left stuffs full like I do.
What SSA are you using on ur katana? I'm struggling to figure out what to put on my liberate katana.
If you're not going for too powerful stuff, go for crit damage. Normally your crit chance should be over 60 already so don't use crit chance.

What’s the Units you recommend for Phantom?
Anything that gives more PP.
If you're new player you might not know this, but units gives you bonus powers that was not showed on the unit's description, some lower rarity ones also requires you to equip a set to gain it. You might wanna look online to find the list and figure what you should farm for.

Some camos will change not only how your weapon looks but where its postioned and how its positioned when sheathed

And about the dislike, most of them was probably came from reddit, since my original title was a bit misunderstood as a "Everything Correct Ultimate Phantom Guide", and I kinda argued with a user since what he's sayin made me feels like "You're not telling the right information so you shouldn't make this video." That's also why I added a comment above and pinned it.

Im thinking Br/Ph char. Is it worth doing the mag to full DEX? i wish to hybrid as wrll. Is it worth doing in general?
Br uses Dex mag to increase both S&R-ATK so of course yes. You can find that on the skill tree, it's automatically learned.
The thing about Br/Ph is that it seems to be used by a few high tier players, but since there's something about PH isn't that good as a sub class, I'm not using PH with any other class so I'm not sure how good it can be or does it require any extra things to get beautiful damages.
You might wanna look up for some other players that does it.
@@vacantvex382 I have searched up a bit and apparently as a PH sub class it boosts your m atk and r atk by 200 each, plus if you get a dex mag, another +200. Im wandering if ive understood it correctly...
Something like that I think, if I remember right it's only some pure number effect and not much of a mechanic bonus.
(For example having Hu as sub gives you more defense and a few manual active skills since the skill can be use on sub class.)
Ahh i see... thats the thing im not worried about defence as much as i with healing spells, buffs etc. Then just use the mates when i can be bothered but also save at least 1 skill point in the process

I change my skill key to F1 - F10, and uses 1~6 above wasd to switch.

I don't think you can compare classes...imo every class is so unique that you'll have to start from ground zero.
Well if we're gonna talk aboit katana Ph, I think the most important thing is to know the use of quick cut, other are just pa movements.
But you gotta know it feels totally different comparing to Br.
Would you recommend Phantom over Braver for Katana exclusivity?
Personally I will, while most of the BR metas are more powerful with bows. Plus, katana PH is way more fun imo.
Everyone have their own opinions so yeah... Just pick up what you think it is worth..

There's a skill called Phantom Mag in the skill tree, so yeah just go for DEX.

Well I can do it but it's not that complected so...
Also, buying those straight from other players are much more efficient, definitely recommend to do so.
Is PH Katana viable? I heard it was weaker than the other weapons
Well I think it's the second most popular one of the three? I mean I put katana as the first place cause it's fun, if you're going for average dmg and stuff you might wanna ask someone that knows about those number calculating stuffs. Personally I play for fun so I'm not digging those.

Sorry but I didn't get to play much etoile since I stop playing the game often as the day it came out, and I also don't think I'm strong at any point to talk about hero.
All I can say about hero is that as a person who play all weapons available on the class, switching weapons by it's specific PA(which will automatic switch weapons when holding down) is a good way to go in and out battles, performing long range and short range atks, or even just pull yourself away to do heals.

What is the average damage for Phantom , because i think i F*ck mag and it also effect my stats
There's a item to exchange that can reverse the Mag's level, I can't remember where though, only remember it's at the second floor of the shop area.
@@vacantvex382 I know that ,it's at the excube store but it only downgrade the mag 1 level
I used to have only one mag only, and still, I use that when I switch to another class as main. That's why I think keeping resources in is so important, somethings it burns when you really need them.
Well, or you can buy more mags, I currently have 3 for different classes.
I don't really know about average damage since I don't risk to use the plugin they ban, but I'll say that the mag is super important.

Using successor classes as the main class let you couldn't have a sub class. Although phantom is special and can be used as a sub.

Just get 2 classes over Lv.75.
Not sure it's any classes or the two has to be in different categories though, cause it used to be split into close combat, range combat, tech combat, 3 categories, and we have to have each of the categories have at least 1 over Lv.75.
I only know that it was changed to 2 required in the later patches, but not sure about the categories though.

I set my 1~6 to switching pallet, and f1~f10 for skills

@@vacantvex382 just wondering because I've been using keyboard as a braver and a hunter and I've been having a horrible time trying to get used to the targeting system and switching to the targets weakspot and etc
You can press Q to lock on target and tab to switch lock parts, I found that useful to me.
Not much people know how powerful the lock on can be imo.
so is this a class? on the NA pso2 forums they dont list this as a class, im confused xD

NA pso2 forums hadn't have Hero, Phantom, Etoile yet, these three are successor classes that unlocked after 2 basic classes reaches lv75.
Not sure are they in NA version though.
Let's hope, if we are gonna be drip fed this. This is how video games make money and this one is off the charts with 'micro trasnasctions"
@@vacantvex382 didn't the successor classes come out with episode 5 or 6? We (NA) only have eps 1 and 2 I think so I don't think we have them but I could be wrong.
@@SoL_LeSs_RaCeR Hero comes out at EP5, ET&PH comes at EP6. I thought they said NA version will instant catch up to the JP version though, seems like I was misunderstood.

Lots of comment like this appears, and I just wanna say again, this is personal play style, the PAs I mention is what I found I often use as a player who plays three weapon at the same time. I skip things because I don't found them that much useful in my play style.

I guess we'll have to grab Phantom for ourselves since you aren't going to show us WHY the other 3 abilities are bad.

Well, a few people did complain about this thing, but most people are fine with it, so I'm keeping this series the same style.

Good vid but having you vocally explaining it without the text & distracting music would of been a plus.
I did considered it before making this one though, but since English wasn't my first language so I hadn't physically speak much the past years, plus I'm not a person that speaks a lot or well in a lot of ways, it's even harder to do it.
