In "Roman Holiday", the scene in the car where Audrey is about to leave Gregory for the last time before heading back to her life as a princess, Audrey says she was supposed to cry on cue to show how sad she was. But she just couldn't cry on cue. They did that scene for about 20 takes before Audrey finally shed tears (after being bawled out by director William Wyler off camera). Thru it all, Audrey says Greg's patience never wavered, only showing understanding while she struggled with the scene. The ordeal would've pissed off and worn out any other actor, but not Peck. Hepburn says she will forever be grateful to Gregory for that. Their mutual admiration and respect only grew thru all their years of friendship.

At ending zone some reporter asked how was Rome.And royal highniss answered I never forget and she looked at American reporter Gregory Peck... that was most touching scene.. I never forget in my life. She is also in my heart forever
I`m 50+ Salma Hayek is my favorite alive..... But Audrey is such an icon, struggled a lot alone and private, but in her public appearances she was so adoreable, one word, a sunshine. Her laughter won every heart! 💋
Audrey pronounced all the names impeccably because the well-known fact that she was indeed a polyglot! Wow, a face, a style, witty, she is ridiculously genuine. I adore her filmography, she doesn't deliver trash in the films, never take anything for granted, I don't know how she did that, it could be her persona and good vibes so everyone felt positive around her. Even Cary Grant openly said that he want to partake another movie with her
Well, that is not quite true - I had to listen several times to get all the Swedish names she tried to pronounce; those people who were involved in the film "My LIfe As A Dog". She did a decent job, but it was definitely not impeccable. In case you wonder - the names were Lasse Hallström, Brasse Brännström, Reidar Jönsson and Per Berglund.

My comment earlier refer to the names on this award ceremony - or she did a very well study beforehand. Oftentimes till today, many presenters voicing the name with blunders than what it should have sounded - sometimes including Afrikan or Asian counterparts. It just spelled and sounds quite different
