It would be great to witness some of those that practiced and was coached by Sam Washington team of coaches . To see if they still got skills after retirement

If Chris Webber would have stayed until his junior year the FAB FIVE would have definitely won a national championship

Idk man that tournament can be tricky the 1993 season they were nearly beaten twice on the way to that championship game if things go wrong one night it’s over!

    CWebb!
Loved the elbow he left on the chest of the defender before he made the lay-up at :46 ;-)

This kid had great leadership qualities. I loved watching Michigan play in close games back then because they would scrap like hell to get back into a game even though their skills weren't as developed as they would eventually become. A lot of that was Rose - a tough-minded extension of Fisher on the floor. They played with a faith in each other that couldn't be faked.

@MrFernuti when he said back in the day, I think he's talking about magic johnson & the showtime lakers vs the larry bird led celtics in the 80s. I dont think he meant that far back into russel's era

Basketball players receive a scholarship for their efforts. They get an education- if they are smart enough to recognize this- worth $100,000 (enabling them for future earnings) and the athletic part of it can be valued anywhere from 100K to 200K.
Ed Martin skewed recruiting by paying players to go to a specific university. Pay to play makes them professionals.

bro the heat dont have shit on the fab 5... they brought a style, mental and physical toughness to a basketball court no team can compare to except for maybe the 90's pistons or bulls

@lafreeway he never said they werent black. and when he said uncle toms he was referring to the black people on Duke who were white washed or didnt express our culture.

@jalenjanaya When I was growing up, I had lots of family problems due to an alcoholic father. He stopped drinking, I grew up, we mended fences. I left that behind me years ago. I just can't think it healthy to carry something inside you all your life. Most medical information I have seen directly attributes some disease to stresses inside the body that are never resolved. I would rather forgive and move on. But that's just me.

@lafreeway Black people were slaves in this country and are still suffering as a result while many white people are still living with advantages gained during slavery which wasn't that long ago. Based on that, what's wrong with being mad at white people? Now that I have written that, I don't think Jalen ever said that he hates white people. In fact, he was talking about Black people at Duke not white people.

@SPOOFMASTERS1000 How would you feel if we just live and let live. You go to school where you want. I go where I want and nobody calls us offensive names. Kinda what a free country is supposed to be like.

Does anyone know if Jalen has children and, if he does, are they in private schools, and, if they are, does he consider his own children "uncle toms"?

@pdl004 I know what he said and I know what he meant. In a nutshell, he said he didn't like the white guys from Duke and any black guy who went to Duke did not deserve to be called black, rather, uncle tom. Which is racist. The fact that an educated man is not considered to be black is the worst kind of racism. Following that logic, Pres Obama, Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall, Secretary of State Colin Powell are all uncle toms and don't deserve to be called black..

The heat are fab 5 copycats!

  • @lafreeway
    @lafreeway 13 років тому

@mcapo23 According to Jalen they were not black, they were uncle toms. Based on Jalen's theory they should not have been any good since they were not "black" like him.
My whole point is that racism is racism regardless of age, race or time.
If you hate someone because of their skin color, it is racism and it is wrong.

The fab 5 won nothing. They could not even beat those slow white boys from Duke.
