Thank you for filming yourself and Fleur opening my parcel to you. I tried to make things that you find whilst out larking as well as other things. I was so pleased to see you open your box on video and it brought a tear to my eye. There will be more but not just yet. I loved the wallpaper you made and the little inperfections just added to its beauty. You could always just wipe the stamp pad over the bit you wish to stamp but very lightly. I so enjoyed making the minitures for you. For anyone that wants to know they are made in plaster and painted with watercolour paint and varnished. The little cow creamer I had to drill out after it was cast and the same with the handles on the stoneware flagons and jugs. They are made with much holding of breath and many don't come out of the moulds whole so lots get thrown away. I make the rubber moulds too and that takes a couple of days. Some of the big ink bottles I make in poly clay and then take moulds from those. The little stoneware flagon was bought in a shop years ago as I love stoneware and wanted more so I took a mould of that and made my own. The blue topped on I knocked the handle off drilling it out but thought it looked ok after a tidy up. I shall have to send the next lot packed in stuffing for you so the dolls can benefit from the parcels too. I really enjoyed the video and thank you so much for all the lovely ones you put up for us all to enjoy. I really look forward to watching you every week. Stay safe all and lots of love and wishes.❤❤❤ I shall have to go and watch this video again now.
Such a delight to see a video from you two dear ladies. To me you are friends, altho we have never met. Going thru some challenging times with my husband's health, so this is such a blessing. Thank you for all you both do. I look forward to each new video. God bless your family.
I love the wall paper and the ribbon is a perfect accent! Those gifts are incredible and so thoughtful, matching your favorite things. You are well respected and loved by your viewers!!
The Bartmann jug is mindblowing, and the tiny pork pie inks make me smile! This is a great video,I could comment on so much! And,it is,if I may say,a beautiful display of such lovely hands. It’s true! You both have the prettiest, most elegant and delicate hands.
The wallpaper looks great, and it was never perfect back in the early days. I really love the ribbon between the paper, it fits the look. Also, I love the tiny gifts. I’m just amazed at the tiny world you two have created. Beautifully done!
Thank you. I had a lot of fun making them and there will be more to come I expect. I have only tkaen it up again this year but did make them many years ago in my younger days for shops and my own dollshouses.
Another outstanding video ….can’t wait to see the study come alive. The gifts are just unbelievable. What talent and kindness that she shared them with you lovely ladies. Have a great week !! 🥰🌼
I just need to pass a "well done" to the person that made your gifts! Somehow it was even more exciting to see the pieces in miniature for, than finding bits out in the wild. Also the wallpaper turned out great, the room is off to a wonderful start. See you next week.
Oh my goodness the wallpaper looks amazing and Mel has created some beautiful tiny items for you both. She has a steady hand, imagination and skill…. The bag of marbles and jacks, everything 🥰🥰. 💛🧡🤎
As a card maker (Christmas, birthday, anniversary, etc.) who uses stamps and ink pads to embellish my work, I am amazed at the amount of effort you put in to making the beautiful wallpaper! It is so fun watching you two! ❤️❤️❤️
"The glorious study, being papered in a verdant hue, was made even more elegant by the addition of golden sunburst medallions, handpainted thereon. " I could go on, but anyway, I love the variation of the stamping! It adds to the character!
Wow those tiny gifts were so perfect, whoever made them has a great talent. The wall paper turned out beautifully, can't wait to see what else you make. 👍💞
The design and colour of the wallpaper is eye catching ladies. The choice of that ribbon to cover the joins of the paper was perfect. Those beautiful little objects were just right for the dolls houses; the gobbies(not sure if the spelling is correct) looked great on the carpet.
I’m just AMAZED! The wallpaper is stunning and the tiny gifts from Fairy 🧚🏻♀️Acorn are adorable! I can’t imagine how long that took her. ✨🌹 Great craft day! I think someone is very tired! 😴
Huff with your warm breath on the stamp before you stamp and it works better. The moisture from your breath helps the stamp. Hope this helps. Hugs Nola
Omg, Mel's gifts are amazing! She is so clever to make all those tiny things. I love the study wallpaper, what a fab idea! I think 'stopper printing' is something that will keep my grandchildren entertained so thank you 😀💗 x
The wallpaper looks amazing. I love the ribbon accents. You will have the most sophisticated study ever. I love all the home made miniatures. So talented.
I love that you ladies are enthusiastic miniaturists. I am a long-time miniaturist, and admire the care that you put into your delightful tableaus. Your creativity turning literal trash into beautiful new items for your dollhouses is amazing! Not only are you recycling in the truest sense of the word, but the pieces you create will become heirlooms for generations of your family - and that is so lovely❤ I also adore your unboxing videos. I love how you admire the old pieces you purchase, and ponder their former lives as much-loved toys. This channel has quickly become one of my favorites on UA-cam! Thank you for generously and thoughtfully sharing your hobby with us. With love from Spring Hill, Tennessee in the US❤ PS - If you haven’t seen Queen Mary’s amazing, antique dollhouse at Windsor Castle, you absolutely must! I still remember the thrill of seeing it as a girl in the 1980s.
Who would have thought that vulcanite would be so hard to use as a stamp. You are very patient and it looks amazing. What a precious gift from such a talented person, wow!
Who would have thought that a vulcanite bottle stopper could be USED like a stamp?! Their vision and creativity knows no bounds! And while watching Kate struggle with the stamping process, I was wondering if she couldn’t somehow hit the stopper with a hammer? But the rubber knob/grip thing is kind of in the way and the hammer wouldn’t work on that. Unless…. Kate would experiment with a plain bottle stopper and take it apart to see if the knob/holder thing could be removed, would that leave a flat solid surface to use as a base for a wooden handle that could be glued onto the stamp for ease of use? I felt so bad for Kate and Fleur’s poor aching hands after that ordeal! I felt your pain! Anyway, I was so amazed and delighted by the little box of handmade ceramic wonders by FairyAcorn, I just sat through the video slack-jawed! What talent!! I’d have surely gone blind, mad or both by trying to create something so tiny and precious!! I’d have to work with tweezers to handle everything because fingers are too cumbersome! But I’m glad I’ve got them! Best wishes, Lauri Hyde
Hello Lovelies; well Kate I noticed your watch and believe me I have the identical watch. Needs a battery and a cleaning and good as new. I've had it for about 40 years. Love that you both hand printed the wallpaper. Greetings from the U.S.A.
@40:00, I was tearing up from watching you both open your precious bespoke gifts from Fairy Acorn. Thank you for sharing your talents with the world. And with the Miniature World of Kit & Kaboodlers. 🥰This was a sweet episode to watch. ❤️God bless you all and bless all of the viewers, as well. 👋😘
I, m paying attention to all your crafts, and those tiny presents you were given are real treasures, irrepeatable and unique, acorn fairy is a wonderful artist.
Next time you use the vulcanite stoppers as a stamp, place a thin sheet of felt under the paper you are stamping on. It gives a bit of softness to the paper and the stamp comes out better.
So neat that you incorporated something y’all found to use to make the wallpaper! It looks great! Y’all’s Acorn Fairy is so very talented! I can’t imagine making a big version much less a teeny tiny version of anything she made! Amazing! Can’t wait to what y’all do next and your other unpacking!
I love how each print is different, it works 💚 the colours are beautiful 💜 & how wonderful are the little gifts you have received from a very clever lady 🧡 I really enjoyed this 💛
What a brilliant idea for the wallpaper! I've thought it would be cool to make a stamp in reverse with a vulcanite bottle to create a seal matrix of sorts!
If you ever stamp paper again like that I find it easier and more vibrant to stamp paper that has a couple of paper towels underneath the paper. It gives a little cushion and the stamp comes out more easily. Beautiful outcome, you two!
That parcel of gifts is amazing!! Very talented miniature maker. Anything that makes Kate's face light up is lovely! That wallpaper is perfect and I was just thinking that Bronte has to be in the study!
Well done again ladies!!! You did such a lovely job on the wall paper. I know your hands must have ached for a couple of days after the project was complete. Your friend who sent the gifts is very talented. What a kind and caring gift she sent:)
They had transom windows in those Victorian houses, pocket doors, stained glass, brass fittings in the bathrooms and chandeliers, globe gas lights, carpets, built in shelvings, niches, large windows, high ceilings, and lots of mahogany woodworks. Dumb waiters, claw footed bathtubs. etc etc But I also like simplicity in simple things too.
The wallpaper is fabulous ! I think it looks better not perfectly stamped as it is old and should be worn looking:) Beautiful wee things ! So exciting ! May God Bless the Queen and may she rest in well deserved Peace . ❤️
How amazing! I used to make miniatures for my stepdaughter's doll house. She is now 29. I found a wooden box while moving and I will turn it into a house when we finally settle into our new house. The wallpaper looks amazing. I love how the sofa looks in there. My grandma used to call a sofa a davenport. An idea for future, if you ever want to edge card or stiff paper with gold you can use your ink pad. Just put the card perpendicular to the pad and draw the edge of card across the surface.
Astounding gifts from FairyAcorn! What amazing creative miniatures that she made. Every single one is a treasure wherever it ends up....the Bearded Man Jug made Kate speechless and the Staffordshire Cow -- WOW! The wallpaper turned out spectacularly. You all are so gifted.
OMG what an exciting video... your wallpaper is perfect for the study and the tiny miniatures that Mel gifted are perfect for your doll's houses 💝. Mel has such a talent, and has been very generous with her creations. Your pleasure and joy was infectious as I found myself getting nearer and nearer to the screen with each unfolding. Oh my, wishing the best week as you decide what goes where. xx
For skirting (& other things) I use old wooden venetian blinds as easy to cut into strips as the wood is thin. Your videos are are well balanced, the music and flow of conversation, so enjoyable and relaxing.
FYI - If you wanted just the star in the center, you could use a paintbrush to paint the ink/paint onto that part of the bottletop instead of pressing the entire bottletop into the ink. If you want the circles and they don't fully print, just use the brush to flesh them out. You might want to do a strip of 4 and offset the next strip with half, 3 and half, etc. The green and gold are great to represent the arsenic and heavy metals of the colors used back in the day. Have fun!
Interesting fact is green wall paper had high levels of lead and arsenic in them. Many Victorian homes were making them sick. Thanks for the cute unboxing. Little things are so adorable
I really wish there was a ‘love’ button because ‘like’ just isn’t enough for the work you ladies do ❤
