I just picked up a 3 inch rooted piece of burro tail at the Walmart. It was on the floor. Now it’s mine. Happiness is when plant leafs are in the floor. Yay
I rooted my burro tail right after I cut then. Is that going to be a problem?( Rooted I'd dirt)😮
No one else wanted it. Good find.
My kind of person that will pickup broken off pieces of plants with no shame. Trash plant pieces make beautiful plant too. Thumbs up!
Absolutely! We call it 'prop"lifting 😂@lucypearlmorgan3115
Lol!
Thank you, succulents are such a mystery to me. It feels like by not caring for them you're caring for them! I'm trying to learn the ways 😊
thank you for making the propagation of the burros tail so simple, and I loved how you explained that it will look dehydrated and not so good at first. if you hadn't explained that I would have most certainly thought I'd done something wrong!
My happiness is when I see rotted leaf for free in gardeneer shops
Thanks for this! I had a beautiful burros tail growing but we moved to a new house and its been an adjustment trying to find good light for it and my other succulents. Its winter now and I have it in the best light source i could find, but its become really stretched out. Also the soil isnt doing the best so ill need to change that out. Planning on taking a few clippings and transferring the existing burrows tail into a new pot with fresh soil and starting another new pot for the clippings/leaves to see if i can get another one started and keep it healthy.
Burro's Tail is such a cool looking succulent!!
These grow so slow for me even though I have it under t5s 14 hours a day for the winter. I went to Italy last year, succulents growing everywhere like California. people had burros tail succulents growing off their balconies in town that were over 15ft long while mine would take forever to do that. I almost want to move to somewhere with a Mediterranean climate for my plants haha
Vin Soriano my succulent has grown about a foot in my room and I think it’s still growing XD
in Bolivia plants also grow like crazy 😂 you can see these big bushes or trees trying to grow from the cracks of our bridges in the highway and it's insane, I don't even know how they end up there
Burros and Donkey Tail are my favorite pretty hanging Plants New friend here from Sydney Australia..
Wonderful tutorial!! This plant is on my plant wish list! 👏🏽💚🌱
My b tail is so fragile. I’ve never really understood why. If I touch it a lot of the plant falls off. It was interesting to see you handle yours without that happening. Thoughts?
thanku. i hope your video can save my plant from dying 😭
Stealing a cutting from my Mom’s Burro’s Tails right meow LOL
Dayne good source 😉
Can’t wait to see updates of these.
Do you put it in damp soil? And do you water right after you put it in the soil?
Thank you so much for this! 😉☺️🫶🏽
I have never, ever had any luck propigating burrows tail from the leaves. My burrows tail isn't long enough to propigated, I'm thinking of purchasing more in the spring.
I push mine down in the soil just a little bit and they start growing roots
Any chance you can grow them in water?
New here! Just started getting succulents & learning. Always loved them but never took the time to get info about them. Just got one of these! Thank u for all these great videos!
😊
@AngelsGroveGardening I actually loved the video bc I didn't have to search for hours to find the answer I needed about how to propergate the leaves!! It was a very nice, short & sweet video 💗
I love your very informative video and I REALLY love your shirt! Where can I get one????
Just watched a video on taking a clipping from the donkey tail.
I wonder if you could tell me how I fix that the center is more bulky lol
It's a healthy plant otherwise. Wish I knew how to show my photos here lol
Yupppp I am subscribing !
This is such a beautiful video! Answered all my questions, even the ones I didn't know I had
Love my burro’s tail. I have been trying to propagate from the leaves, this takes FOREVER! I do the same, throw them back in the mother plant. In time I will have a huge plant 😄 Do you ever use succulent fertilizer?
leah walker haha. I actually don’t. I think this summer I might try one but they seem to go great with just nice light 😁
Could you use root booster powder on the cuttings?
Hi
I think my burro's tail plant is rotting, how can I save it
Thank you for showing me how to do it have a nice day
Is this a note on an indoor plant ?
Are we getting an update for the burros plant. ? 🥺
Daniella J I will try to film one soon!
Angel's Grove Gardening Yay! I just subscribed and can’t wait to see the update.
very helpful
Thank you so much for this video 💚 I have a strand of burro’s that has an etiolated section and I wasn’t sure if I could cut it off to propagte
Man, mine looks nothing like yours. The plant itself if greenish blueish, but the leaves are all wrinkled, and no matter how much I specifically spritz water over it, it doesn’t get much better. It’s the leaves near the base though, not the ones further along. At least the wrinkly part when you cut them I did right.
if its wrinkly, you night be overwatering it. I was always told that burros tail should be watered thoroughly, but only once every 2-3 weeks, and make sure that it's pot has proper drainage.
@@kellyg2635 That's what I thought as well, but the leaves just... shriveled up and got smaller? Anyway, I did the soak and dry that's been talked about, and it's doing MUCH better, even sprouting a new 'tail' near the base!
I’d say leave it in the sun for a day or two because I had wrinkles and the leaves were squishy, but I wasn’t watering it so I was confused but I get set them outside for a day and the leaves started too become firmer and it could also be due too overwatering so stop watering them until the soil has completely dries out
@@teyastea9740 thanks for the info! But the problem was that I didn’t water them enough funny that it may seem. I can it LOTS of water, that another commenter said I should, and BOOM, no more wrinkles. As for sun, they are near a window all day. But I can’t put them outside.
Thanks for explaining how to look for the spots to propagate. Would you suggest your mom move the plant to a window so that it doesn't keep stretching? Or add a grow light somewhere in the room?
Janet T yes I would. (I’ve actually told her to do that a few times) haha but she likes it where it is
Have u kept indoor ??or outdoors
Indoors
Very helpful video! Would I lay the single leaves that have fallen off with their "cut" or "open" end down facing the soil, or up facing the air?
Alyssa Wells shouldn’t matter, whichever should work
Do it already!!! 5 mins in & I haven't seen any soil
Felt the exact same and literally waiting and waiting for a quick tutorial and still nothing… thumbs down tutorial
Great video Jess! I love this one! Thank you for sharing!
How often do you water the plant
Mandy Zimmer I water all of my succulents only about once a month
What do u think of root starter?
Kathy Fahey ya know, I don’t think it’s a bad thing. I just never use it and I have never had a problem with roots not starting so. Now it probably would help it go faster and maybe I would be more successful but for the most part the plant does just fine on its own. I probably don’t use it as a result of being too lazy to go buy some 😂😂
So I don’t have a propagation video request, but have you ever done water therapy on succulents? I’m a little curious about it/how to do it! ♥️🌵
Vfranz016 I only do it if I essentially have ran out of options. I don’t like using it for propagation just cause I you have to change the water and adjust the roots to the soil eventually, etc etc. and just sticking a cutting In the dirt seems to work great for me and it’s less work 😂
Angel's Grove that makes sense. I just was given this one super super dehydrated PVN and regular watering doesn’t seem to help it. 🙃
Vfranz016 hmm. I mean it is worth trying if the succulent won’t come back. You can just put it in water in a jar or container and change the water every few days until it grows roots. If it comes between losing the succulent and trying this, I would try
Hi, thanks for the videos. They are very helpful for me as a novice succulent grower. Will burrow’s tail be happy under an LED grow light in a “full sun” situation? I currently have all of my succulents inside under the lights and have not tried growing outside yet. Burrow’s tail was one of the first succulents I tried but they did not live because I overwatered them pretty quickly and they rotted out. I would like to try them again want to make sure I have the proper light situation first!
Sam Antha yes they would love it!
Great information for a newbie like me! Thanks, my new friend.
Thank-you
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Mama needs to give it more light.
not about plants but i would like to see ur pets :3
7 minuti e ancora non ho capito come devo fare....
Again, I am not your angel Karen. Just get to the point angel. Thanks for the info. Well needed. Angel get to the point angel I get very impatience. You are very informative but also say things that are not relevant. Have a good day little angel. Bye
