They got the cadence of each original character's speech perfect. Then the little music accents too. Parody at It's best!
Nora did Hope perfectly. Facial expressions, voice, mannerisms. Bravo! 👏👏💐💐
Jan Hooks had Melissa down cold.
Thanks to whoever posted this, it is brilliant. I love SNL, I love thirtysomething. Jan Hooks was such a talent and a beauty.
Yeah, Hope was perfect. She was annoying. Lol. This is a great parody.
Anybody else have a crush on Nora Dunn?
....asking for a friend
No, but I was crushin' on both Mel Harris and Polly Draper back in the day.
Aww the baby girl is so adorable
Somehow I missed this in the first go-round.
Nora Dunn was always my favorite!
Thirtysomething was so bad. They nailed it here.
I haven't seen thirtysomething, perhaps if I had I would have understood this better. But it was still funny, even if Phil Hartman at the end switched "Mutant" and "Ninja."
It was a really good show back in the 90s. You can catch a few full episodes on UA-cam.
1989
Aw, Phil : ' (
Thirtysomething was ripe for parody back then, but this just isn’t funny
I'll admit, I didn't watch the show at the time, but it seems like the overdramatics about cereal of all things was vintage Thirtysomething. The dumbass Elliott character (played by Jon Lovitz) was perfectly done, along with the melodramatic Hope (Nora Dunn) and flighty Melissa (Jan Hooks) -- or was she supposed to be Nancy? It all really rings true.
I thought it was funny. It feels exactly like an episode of the show. It's funny in its seriouness.
@@vickenator It was definitely Melissa.
@@Aster_Risk Yes. Very funny.
@@vickenator definitely Nancy
I cant help but notice the pure disdain the mains stream media has towards a show that was essentially about the family....are we all to live miserable lives alone watching militant LGBTQVWS groups marching while getting our 18th shot & attending to our AI family on a cracked Ipad screen that doesn't hold a charge?
Sshhhh! 🤫🤐You're saying the quiet part out loud
That's EXACTLY what liberal mainstream media wants. The fastest & best way to upturn society is to destroy the traditional nuclear family. That's why they push all the 🌈 garbage
It’s from Saturday Night Live. It was a sketch. Grow up, you giant baby.
This is from 1987
