- Today i show how to rig, z’owah
RigEdit [Lite]:
www.roblox.com/library/127434...
Moon Animator:
www.roblox.com/library/472561...
----------
Background music i used (the entire ost slaps):
• Okey Dokey! DX - Mario... [Mario and Luigi: Bowser Inside Story - Okey Dokey/Battle Music]
• Beachside Dream - Mari... [Mario and Luigi: Bowser Inside Story - Beachside Dreams]
• Tutorial Time - Mario ... [Mario and Luigi: Bowser Inside Story - Tutorial Time]
-------
I don’t know if I should credit Sound effects since pretty much they’re free to use, but i’ll do some:
• 15 Sorting Algorithms ... [15 Sorting Algorithms in 6 minutes]
• Acceleration - Speed C... [Acceleration - Speed Coil - Roblox]
• Toilet Flushing Sound ... [Toilet Flushing Sound Effect] (I seriously don’t know)
**If anything else, I’ll update this to credit some others
---------------
I mainly did this 'cause of the Rigging Reminder Stuff, Like i mention in the Video, it Pretty Much Solves Issues that you may occur such as "Set the Models Primary Part", Anyways, See ya guys then, byee byee - Розваги
I just want to say for people who (surprisingly still) find this video, if there's a problem you have with your rigging process, try checking in the comments, or comment down your issue so either me (don't rely on me) or some other viewers can help along, but if none of which work, try checking the DevForum cuz most of your problems and answers MIGHT I said MIIIGHT be there. Nonthenless I thank you for your visit here, hoped I helped.
Also I don’t get any cash from these ads xd
ps: And yes this should still work, even with the Roblox animator (yk you just gotta add a humanoid to your model and thats it)

this is my favorite tutorial ever, i keep coming back to this whenever i rig a model because i always forget and it's always super easy to follow and even funny at some times 100/10 tutorial i've never seen a better one
@@sydeguy1332 this genuinely made me smilesykxymdhwkwysmzjxmhekwkw😭😭😭😭 I absolutely thank you so much for literally checking this out, even if it’s a year old😭Ithankyouagaineeeeeee
When are you gonna post another video?
after watching this about 600 times, i finally managed to rig my model so thanks for that
Hopefully i explained things well, i tried my best to explain things short and simple
(I guess that also explains where most of the views came from)
@@HedgeySaravia I would personally use chatgpt rather than yt, I've made a working enemy with the help of chatgpt "It was my 2nd time on roblox studio"
Holy hell you have literally outdone yourself on this tutorial! It's literally explained so easily and it's short and simple which I literally love so much! Thanks to you, I now know how to fully rig a model without a tutorial! You are a helpful one young sir!
You earned yourself a new subscriber!
This honestly helped so much
This was an amazing video! Extremely helpful, well-edited, and funny!
Much obliged🐟👍
Wow, I thought this would take me forever but I understood right away! Thanks so much! I'm subscribing rn.
I watched the whole video, left to watch chip by doober43, just to come back and rig my model. This tutorial is literally the best one i've seen, you explained it so well! Thank you!!
OMG TYSM this is the shortest tutorial on rigging ive seen and its the only one that help THANK YOUUUUUU youve saved my horror game 🙏
I wish the best of the best to the very best for your horror game, trust the process!👍
amazing video it helped me a lot and the animation you did is epic great job and thank you for showing me how to do it
I was looking for this video for hundred years. Its 2AM BUT I FINALLY FOUND THE THING THAT I WANT ! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
I am very glad to put in my sweat and hair into this video so you don't have to make it to 101 years
Wow, a riggin tutorial that doesn't sucj and helped me actually make my first rig after years of not being able to. Very impressive!
bro thank you so much. This tutorial really helped me a lot!)
at this moment i cannot explain the level of thanks im saying in my head, you saved my water bending animation
at first when i was watching this i was like "oh nah another text to speech tutorial that will be confusing as hell" but you actually understood that the viewers might not know as much as you so you walked the through it. And I also really like your style of content!
Genuinely makes me grin knowing that someone (being you) acknowledging the effort I was putting within 3 days of 3am’s honestly makes me grin. Greatly appreciate your positivity! (and thank you for liking my style which I never thought I’d hear someone comment on that)
for god's sake i have been trying to learn rigging for damn years and nobody teached me, and i thought the reason is because its too easy and i'm too dumb to know it, and til now i do really realise that its damn easy, just time consuming. Thank you so much.
1000+ Views, I'm honestly Flabbergasted right now, I seriously don't know what else to say (and also cuz i don't wanna spend like 10 Minutes Thinking what to a comment) I'm just very thankful that people Acknowledged my Video, Rarely do i ever get this amount of views (My last 1000 viewed video took like 4 years to reach 1000)
Nonthenless, I Hope this video does explain Rigging 100%'ly, If i did missed some stuff or theres a Problem, I'd suggest Commenting or Going Through the Comments, Doing that helped me Gather Everything together to make the "Rigging Reminders", But anyways, Sorry for not uploading in 4 months (as of now) i'll "Try" to Upload for often, Don't quote me though, or do quote me, idonkno, anyways, Thank you very much!
(Not to brag but becuz of all this, I'm the like around the Top 20's to popup when you search "Roblox Studio how to Rig" or top 10's when you search "Roblox studio how to Rig Models" , or "Roblox studio how to Rig Models 2022" I fully popup, Okay okay i get it, i didn't need to include this but still, i just really am thankful)
TL;DR: thank you
ty for this , very helpful and i love how you explained these things
if you ever want to make another tutorial in the future, maybe a run down on animating in roblox?
And'a Thank you for choosing this video :D, for real like, barely do i ever get comments like these, I'm also glad you understood everything in this video, Makes me know that uh, I'm not confusing or anything (I especially like this part, 2:58)
I also was thinking the same on Making a Animation Tutorial, though i didn't knew if anyone wanted it sooo, I mean, now that you suggested it, makes me wanna do one, so perhaps, i will make one B) thank you
@@HedgeySaravia yes i really liked the diagrams you made LOL it made so much sense that way
do you know any way to add objects into animations? Such as holding a microphone? 🤔
@@dragonplays9077 (sorry for my late response) but uhmmm, what i would do Personally would be uh, Is rig the object with the i guess, Model of yours (if you get me here, i can make a quick Link'able video to show what i mean if anything)
Or you can rig the Object, then click on the "+" Icon in Moon Animator (While in your Animation with your Model i guess you can say)
If i didn't explain as well, Please let me know, Like seriously cuz i really don't wanna Let someone down
thank u now i juat have to figure out what im going to build and how to build it ur tutorial was helpful
This is helpful thanks! A GUI I am using for my game takes rigs instead of morphs. Tysm
best tutorial i could find, thanks!
I really tried to do my best with this, so I thank YOU for watching this👍👍👍👍
THIS LITERALLY IMPROVED MY ANIMATIONS 3X BETTAH, thanks man (the way he said ctrl critical)
YAYAYAYAYAYAAYAYAY (I still get embarrassed from the comments telling me that I said ctrl wrong😭😭)
@@HedgeySaravia that fine, like the text to speech auto are kind of strange, like if you do mm for like "mm2" or sum it will instead say "milimeter"
Thx so much, i liked and subscribed
Short, quick, and easy, I like it
i just got to the rigging reminders and fixed it in a minute
thanks bro
The exact reason why I made this tutorial, you’re very welcome😎
TYSM I LITERALLY CANNOT DESCRIBE HOW MUCH THIS WILL HELP ME YOU EARNED 2 SUBS
Glad to Help you out😁Good Luck on your Projects and So on
@@HedgeySaravia thank you :D
subbing cuz this was great and helped a lot
Glady appreciated, happy rigging 👍
tip for those who make an character for an game: when u add in humanoid, do not remove the model's name. click humanoid and in properties you should see an option "DisplayDistanceType". set it to none and you wont have the tag.
I AM UNDERSTAND SO MUCH OMG TYYYY
thank you, this helped me a lot
Wow thank u ur the best UA-cam I hope u reach 1k one day lol this helped me a lot (≧∇≦)
Very generous of you, I hope you can fulfill your dreams with the power of rigging 😄
The best video about rig models
Thank you very much!! Hope the best for your Future Models and what you might be working on (if you are working on something, heh), which you can then show the world what you’ve made, with the power of Rigging😎
Great Video!
Much appreciated😁 'will try to do more if I ever can
Best tutorial ive seen my whole life
Your comment really makes me feel like I’ve achieved something other then “finding the sauce”🤧🤧🥹
thank god for this video actually
If you have trouble putting in humanoidrootpart try putting it inside the character in Explorer
This tutorial was amazing!!
Is there any way you're able to rig it so that you can use roblox animations for your custom rigs?
Thanks I've been welding it instead of creating joints after watching it I realized my mistake
THANJ YOU FOR THIS DUDE 🙏🏾
Super helpful!
Thank you so much!
OMG OMG OMG OMG TY YOUR A LIFE SAVER
this tutorial really helped out but for some reason the upper chest of my model is unmoveable and before you ask yes the human root part is anchored
thank you so much i made like 20 models for my roleplay game and i forgot how to rig models
Good thing i had your back😎, i guess you could say
I LOVE YOU TYSM
I love you too man
your my life savior
The model that you used in the video reminds me of my friend's model
maybe it's because of the similar model style.
very helpful!
dude u saved my life❤
This guy deserves more subscribers
Well the fact that I’ve suddenly been gaining subscribers suddenly is actually coincidental 😅 (not to flex ofc just a coincidence) and for a 2 year old video, man that’s surprising
yippee it helped thank u

@@HedgeySaravia indeed
the other video i saw was 46 minutes long.. this saved more time
46?!? Dang…At maximum it’d be like at least 20 but 46??? Guess they we’re showing off every bit of it😓…Nonetheless your welcome for saving your time B)
YOO TYSM DUDE
This is a nice tutorial! I got to rig my model entirely and im proud with the results, though moon animator currently costs 1200 robux and I do not have that luxury, Ive tried to use the regular roblox animation editor but it cant find my rig, chat, am I cooked? im gonna see if I can plop my mech into blender
I forgot to mention this in the video since at the time moon animator was still free, you simply have to put a humanoid in your model and that’s it and done
just in time! I just learned that I had to put a humanoid AND an "animator" inside that humanoid for it to detect it! I thank you and my friend buggles for the help, im currently making the model of some giant monster thatll be roaming around in my world, you have my greatest gratitude
@@HedgeySaravia
@@ChatterGaming An absolute pleasure on helping you with both rigging and your problem, happy rigging👍!
thank you so much you taught me how to rig🤣
Hooray💃
The rigging reminders just fixed all of my problems
The whole reason I made this video after all, not many tutorials weren’t being as clear (no offense) so I tried to be as short and simple as possible and took what was missing made it into a well, a rigging reminders, wooo
@@HedgeySaravia yeah in the tutorial I was using it was simple but it didn’t say that you had to anchor the root and I was broken until I came to this tutorial and saw the rigging reminders
@@HedgeySaravia and you said you could take the reminders and leave so I took it and left
Now I can rig:D
@@Chalk_Stuff hooray!!
god im trying to create a singleplayer elden ring inspired game with high detail this is gonna be fun giving every single bit of armour a joint
You could also weld them instead of jointing, i just do it cuz i like to idkkk, make something bounce to give it more life i guess, you do whats suits you though
@@HedgeySaravia nah it was fun joining them together lol, plus its more realistic
If you like these type of Videos, Uhm, well, uh, you just, y’know, uh, Never-Mind anymore
Suggestions are Possible as-well, I’d appreciate since well, i’m pretty dry on Stuff for UA-cam
From the looks of it, it’s not doin’ as well it seems, guess i’ll try to not do Roblox studio vidoes (xd)
Nevermiiind what i said 3 months ago, this is actually doing unexpectedly great
Still i don’t know what to upload xd
best tutorial i gotta say
ththththththhthththththtththththtthhhhaank yooouuuu
ty dude :D
Hello, so, i was trying to rig my gun model but it was not working, and i know how to rig, then i opened a random tutorial(this video) and it WORKS! I dont know how, because i did the exactly same thing, whatever, thank you.
My pleasure for whatever I said that other videos didn’t B)
watching this tutorial and seeing the model reminds me of my friend's oc
The multiverse is real
What got me to animated is surprising
I think it should be something u enjoined and inspiring but for me it was something that changed me, in a bad way
I getcha' there, Animation isn't easy, and Is not supposed to be easy, But the more we keep moving foward, We'll be Like Emmet when he got all Big Brain and built something
I assume most Animators go through that xd
@@HedgeySaravia i mean.. that isint really what i said but yeah mi first animation was glitchy then mi second was better but still a little glitchy mi fird used effects and the animation i did not too long ago used lots of effects and items
and what i said in the comment was what got me into wanting to animate wasent somthing that i like, its somthing that changed me and made me more weird i wanna do somthing to the channel...
to his channel
@@HedgeySaravia bro rig edit and rig edit lite won't work
@@BlazePlayzStuff did you click Rig edit Pro/Lite then Select the Rig?
i have a question: if you have a lower torso and a upper torso which one do you joint with the humanoid root part, is it the one with the humanoid root part which in this case is the upper torso?
I’d so say yeah! Still nice to ask tho to y’know, ensure your info
The tutorials good but the thing is you kinda forget a lot of things. such as making sure the “HumanoidRootPart” front area is where your model’s facing, and changing the joints so when moving them they would properly move. Such as if you tried moving the arms it wouldn’t move properly, the arms wouldn’t go around the shoulder where the joint should be, the arms would move around where the joint is. Also I recommend if you’re lazy you can just union the parts, instead of adding them together in blender.
Edit: ❤❤ Good tutorial though!
Appreciate and agree with what you said😅, 6 months before i was like “yeah i covered everything”, then well, as you see through the countless comments, i clearly didn’t mention a Ton of stuff that then lead to issues, Then again, way back then i was probably hoping people would figure the problem on their own cuz i didn’t wanted to extend the video to like 8-12 minutes
i do plan to at some point to make a video where i (hopefully) clear up every problem to where a smidge isn’t left (Watch when i get quoted), hopefully people see your comment so it can well, perhaps solve someones Problem, glad someone like you commented here
@@HedgeySaravia alright!
I followed the tutorial and was wondering why my player was broken. It was because the humanoidrootpart front was facing left. Great
We only use the joints for the parts that we want to move and use the Welds for the stationary parts that move with another object right?
Yup! (That's all i have to say other then yup, correct)
they look so cute 👀👀
blushes tee hee
thxs so much
My plesure to explain it for you
Thank you
You're welcome, Marker 2.0😎
YOU ARE A FUCKING LEGEND!!!! Thanks to you the new Mars escape map for Pillow Fight Simulator has a special surprise for its players ;)
You work on that game?? Nonthenless you're welcome
Thanks
thx 👍
I have watched this about 10 times and I have rigged my model so thank you so much because my peanut size brain couldn't understand anything 👍
Sorry if I didn’t explained it as well🥲, tried to make it as simple as possible but uh, guess not everyone found it easy😓will improve
@HedgeySaravia NO NO YOU EXPLAINED IT REALLY WELL THIS IS THE ONLY ONE I COULD ACTUALLY COMPREHEND
Do you have to model EVERYTHING in the model
Lets say you joint the arm and legs and there fingers or like parts of clothes that you wanna animate do you just need to rig those too?
Some of which don't really need to be rigged/jointed, but rather welded. Here I just jointed them cuz I like to give my models a bit of "bounce" when animating
So in general, no you don't have to model (or rig) EVERYTHING, you just rig what you gotta rig
@@HedgeySaravia alright thanks
If your character is just a whole pack of meshes, then you can just group every single mesh part and name it according to its function and it'll work just fine?
yes
Can someone explain why this keeps showing up: "The following Motor6Ds do not have a part0 set: joint"
helpful gj
very epic
woooooo
Great tutorial! The easiest one to follow by far- however, for some reason my rig editor lite won't let me create joints? Do you know of any thing that could be causing this? I already have my HumanoidRootPart anchored and the model not anchored, I've checked everything four times and it matches yours, yet I cannot set joints.
Never mind! i've figured it out
Ah phewww, by the power of the rigs, you figured!12 woo🥳🥳
@@Novaalt wait please tell me how
@@2dfaceguyidk Sometimes, you have to reselect the model a few times in order for it to work.
Ok so can you do this with items such as a gun, knife or others?
Can you combine parts and meshs with this? I mean like have a mesh with a bendable arm and then combine it with legs that are made of parts
The short answer is no, you cannot combine regurlar rigs with skinned rigs (or bones as I like to call them) and for further proof I spent like 30+ minutes after reading this comment to try to make it work, which didn't worked, so yeah sorry, gotta stick with one
@@HedgeySaravia is there a way to make rigs with parts of a skined rig? beaause i have a character in blender and had to import its body parts sepratly to be uploaded to roblox. so is there a way to rig that WITH the mesh being bendable?
@@LuigiRulez2022Official Again no😭if you wanna make them bend in animation form then you're gonna have to rig them in blender itself, then import it into studio. Ofc you could still rig them normally but they won't bend even if they're a mesh
ty
Your very welcome😎
Did anything change with update's, or that tutorial is fresh and not outdated at this moment?
Still works to this day I would say, I don’t see anything that could be outdated aside from the fact that moon animator isn’t free. Overall yeah it’s fresh, I might even change the title abit in the video to like 2023 instead of 2022
@@HedgeySaravia Cool :)
If you export it to blender will you be able to animate it there?
I’m pretty sure you can, I’m just not sure how to though😓my apologies but at least you got your answer (and a 2 day late response)
yay after 90 re-rigs after the previous attempt failed, i sucesfully rigged a tank from generation zero
They say it takes 2 wipes but it’s been more than 50 wipes
Toilet joke
@@HedgeySaravia LMFAO
Really good video but in the properties in "pivot" it doesnt say primary part
make sure its a model
Hey, i have one question
I did what you did, putting the HumanoidRootPart on the Torso, I don't know how to say it very well, but I did everything right, but I can't move the torso, I can only move the HumanoidRootPart, can you give me a tip to how to resolve?
Did you made sure you *anchored* the HumanoidRootPart? Pretty basic answer and what I mentioned in the video, which makes me think it isn’t that (aaaaa), but uh, just a quick possible answer, but if that doesn’t fix it, I’d like if you can elaborate
DevForums are a thing too, just incase you really don’t wanna rely on me
Lol this video is helpul ig but its funny
I rigged it but the character won't move, how do I fix it? (Everything is named correctly, HumanoidRootPart is anchored, everything else is unanchored and I in general followed the instructions in the video, it won't move tho so idk why)
Also
The most humour-filled tutorial yet.
Sorry I'm late but everything I rig I can move stuff that stay in the same place. When I animate my rig everything's wacky
ssadly moon animator now costs 1700 robux
The built in animator is your next best bet, sorry😔😔😔
Can you rig other groups together? I have a model that uses 2 different materials for the head and I don't want to union it all together.
Like a model inside the model?? If that's what I'm gettin', you can't really. If you're thinking you could make one joint for all the parts in the grouped model inside your main model, it wouldn't work since motors/joints are only for singular parts (unlesssss you joint the parts inside the grouped model, but that'd be just normally rigging,,,). If you don't wanna union your two material head, your best bet is just to normally joint (or weld) each part to your liking, don't stress it
Yes, you can. the structure is basically:
Model (the base model of the whole character)
- inside All the models containing those parts you wanna add
- inside HumanoidRootPart (whose parent is the base model)
Bruh i spent 20 minutes doing this because I kept forgetting stuff-
cant get the parts to show up in moon animator, or is it becuase im using 2nd version
I have a problem and it says that the rig has a cycle in the conections of some parts, and I want to fix that, so could you help me?
can u help me to fix this bug? i got out from Roblox studio when i put the rig in moon animator i watched usefully thanks and plz reply me why is this work like I said
Thanks so much!! +1 subscriber
Question: can you make this your player?
Yes you can! heck, originally i wanted to say that you could in this video, but i uh, didn't, cuz i think i wanted this to be just a 100% Rigging Tutorial, nonthenless youcan make this yourchareatcer
thank you so much. now i can make a guy.
Wooooo, you can make a guy🥳
so um, this is cool and all, but my character i made out of a single cube in blender, so it is only one mesh… any way i can rig that?
Unfortunately if you want to rig a single mesh you're gonna have to rig it in blender itself (I mean unless you want a T-Posing model, which obviously you don't want...I think)
I'd recommend this video I've watch to rig one of my character's in blender ua-cam.com/video/XkiWBSSuxLw/v-deo.html&pp=ygUVaG93IHRvIHJpZyBpbiBibGVuZGVy
I have an existing model, I would like to convert it to r15 or r6 the roblox animations, how do i do that?
If i’m right, Might be wrong, i’m just trying to think in my head how it’ll work
If you have a “Humanoid” In your Model (Not the HumanoidRootPart to not be confused) You can toggle stuff like HipHeight or BreakJointsOnDeath, Most of all you can find “Rig Type” or something along the word Rig, You can select r6 or r15, If this doesn't Solves your Problem, i would uh, Like if you can reply whenever you get the time to, please
Also forgive me for my Late Response, Meant to Respond sooner
