Microsoft announces that any PC that runs the latest version of the new "Windows X" becomes your Xbox. All of your Xbox digital game purchases over the years on Xbox would be playable through emulation and cloud streaming. 3 tiers of performance to keep it simple. A high-performance "Series X" level PC spec, A mid-tier "Series S" spec PC, and a "Handheld Xbox" spec for Steam Deck like portables.
i LOVE my Series X, so this makes me sad. But they fumbled these las ttwo gens SOOOO bad...
I accept the future of Xbox, ... but refuse to understand how Mr Mirco$oft, with billions of $$$$$4 could not figure out a solution.
Gamepass is great. but man..... is it depressing how big of an impact it had on modern gaming :(
MS is going to be fine no matter what they do with Xbox. I have always been a multi-console gamer so I say put the games on the most platforms is best for all gamers and would end the toxic fanboy mentality. If it is about making the most money then opening your games up to the most gamers, who would argue about that.

I disagree. There will games that only cone to places where gamepass is and no where else
I would happily wait 3-6 months, heck even a year if it meant I don't have to buy second console I will hardly use and don't have to sub to game pass to play Xbox games.

Game Pass will never have 100m subscribers. That's pretty delusional thing to say.

Microsoft will do that when Sony puts Spider-Man or God of War go on Xbox.
Sony don't need to expand though as they are already making the money they aim for... Xbox is only making this move because they basically lost the console war and need to find new ways to compete and earn money
Disagree that Xbox is moving towards exiting hardware. At least, not as long as a huge share of their revenue is from console users. If that shrinks though, hardware will probably be abandoned. Xbox is trying to make their hardware like Surface.
I think that's what Pach is saying ultimately as well.
