This quick tutorial will teach you how to cut smoother dialogue using room tone and ambiance. You'll learn how to eliminate distracting audio differences when cutting between multiple sources to make sure your audience is paying attention to the story...not the audio editing.

I'm always blown away by those "B-roll" clips (if you can call them that) showing people working on editing during your explanation. Mind blown because of all the layers, colors and effects. I can't even recognize half of them, it looks completely alien. It's intimidating to think that I'm THAT far behind, how am I ever going to learn all these aspects? Haha. But additionally....What editing software are we seeing you use during these examples? And what do you do for a living? I wouldn't be surprised if you're a hollywood editor. Just curious. Thanks for amazing tutorials, out of the box thinking and DEFINITELY high level advice. I never knew Drone sounds were a thing or existed prior to watching you.
@@nickxplore4265 Hi Nice - most of the screens are showing timelines in Avid but a few are showing Adobe Premiere Pro. I (Chris) worked in Hollywood as a trailer editor for 12 years. I'm glad you found us - very glad you're enjoying everything!
You guys are amazing. You have no idea how much respect you've earned
Great video as always. Maybe a video on sound design and color grading for different moods/emotions.

this channel is great
This was so helpful! I just found this channel and now subscribed. I haven’t done film score in a while. But I want to get in to the game again. I have so many questions about motions, moods. What kind of effects you'd use for a "Group Fight" scenes, including how a background crowd should sound like using those sound effects. How do finalise your editing?
You guys are the best 🎥🤙🏼 🖥
