The JHS Vintage version sounds better in my opinion. The satin finish is not the best. Can't see why Gibson wouldn't finish it in Nitro. To be faulty is just where Gibson are at the moment. They should be leading the way for USA manufacture. Unfortunately they need to up their game.

Shame about the bridge pickup. It can be good fun using the out of phase sound. Not a big fan of satin finish on a flametop. A LP Standard with out of phase switching can come in cheaper especially if bought secondhand and have a gloss finish.
